Hi thx for the nice review. what is helpfull here: just also add/ mention things, which are not perfect. E.g shifting gears is tricky sometimes, the 10 inch wheels are slippery in rain and rattlesnaking in fast curves. Engines are leaking oil from oil lube tank and sometimes from the gear. corrosion is an issue and rain. the long cables for gas, clutch, shifting and rear brake are sensitive to winter and rain. The catalyzed 150cc engine is choked from 9 hp to about 7 hp due to emission regulations (euro 3). This makes it more phlegmatic and leads to a weak rev area when starting the acceration. But I love my px 150 2012, same as I loved my student PX 200 1985 or my highschool 1977 50 special with D.R. 102cc upgrade zylinder. Each vespa got its own character. Please have a *honest and long test* drive before buying one. Its historic technology from the 1950s - frankly spoken 🤟😎
Amazing review.....thank you so much, I have a PX 125 Anniversary in silver 2016 . Done loads of miles and love it, just trying to learn how to maintain!!!!! Your review is 'full ' and very professional, well done indeed. Keep the faith Wayne.
so much hate directed towards trad scooters from the proper bike fraternity... but... a scooter is a different beast... small and fun not meant for high speed.. nothing better for exploring b roads and country lanes in summer .. where you dont need high speed.. and enjoy plenty of stops at cafe's etc... i think i will be getting a px for exactly that.. a fun summer evening bike
Very complete explanation, it shows everything someone no familiar with classic Vespas should know about operation and features, specially this model that comes with a 2 strokes motor. Quite interesting the automatic mix feature, have seen older ones that need to mix oil and gas manually when refueling. Beautiful Vespa, enjoy it. Thanks for sharing!
I love the review!! As I child, I had to wait years before I bought my first PX 150 - without any reviews. Good to see this video being out for future buyers !
Very nicely compiled video, I enjoyed this. I have a 2008 PX200 Vespa as well as an LX150 (automatic). I enjoy riding them both, but as you point out, the older (manual, 2 stroke) style PX machines have a style and ‘quirkiness’ all of their own which makes them great fun to ride and enjoy. Thanks again for the great video.
me too , I love mine more than my T5 . A thing of beauty, mine too is white and totally standard . Except I have added a lovely crome back - rack . It looks so smart , and always gets me noticed .
perfectly explained. i love riding my scooter since i was 8 years old, my father used to give me just one side of the handle. i just love this scooter, i'm gonna do restoration process on it by my self and will make it just like a brand new model. And at last i would you request you to please make one video on how to do complete wiring of vespa px in detail, if you agree then please do it as soon as possible.....
Good video. I have a Vespa PX 125 from 2015, Euro 3 and it does have a switch to turn the lights on and off. Piaggio suppressed this switch in the last series before stopping manufacturing the model. The previous Euro 3 don't turn on the lights when starting it and they do have a light switch
Nice white color and I do know what you mean by a nice ride even when it’s not so fast. If your scooter seems to turn left or not centered. You can adjust the stem between the handle and the front wheel, there’s a screw there
I HAD ALSO OLD 1981 MODEL SAME WITH SOME RESTORATION WITH DARK BLUE COLOR SOME PARTS FROM ABROAD TOO LIKE HEADLIGHTS ,INDICATORS,BACK LIGHT ALSO LOGO PIAGGIAO
Outstanding review! Thank you! Lovely scooter but I wouldn't buy it. No patience to fuss with 2-stroke engines when there are smooth operating FI variants today. Good luck and ride safe!
That’s not really the point. Some one buying a Vespa like this is doing so specifically because it is a two stroke, a manual, non computer controlled, etc. obviously there are more modern machines……
A very, very comprehensive review. I have just purchased a 2016 model in the same colour. It has a problem with the gears. Very stiff and regularly gets stuck in 2nd gear. Clutch and gear cables all fine. It has a COSA clutch. I have been told this could be the issue, with the clutch not fully disengaging. Any ideas? Thanks.
Sounds like your clutch cable and gear change cables are loose. Tighten up the clutch cable, and more importantly ~ both gear change cables and check oil level (replace if old). It's unlikely that the clutch is sticking.
@@Mark-wx1ho If the clutch is sticking, then it should be difficult to change all gears, not just 2nd. Open the clutch and have a look (You will need a clutch holding tool and clutch compressor tool) but I doubt it's the clutch. The bad news is, it can be the cruciform (the gear changer) - replacing which means splitting the cases AKA big job!
nope. got the same model, a px 150 2011. with a defect battery the horn wouldnt work properly, which is crucial in technical checks, we have every two yrs in Germany mandatory...
The Vespa should keep in a straight line not pull to the one side as you say yours does. Maybe you have an alignment problem or tyre pressures are incorrect. Check that out.
ZAPM74200000 13800 very close to mine. Prodoced in 2015. I noticed a different sticker close to chassis number for Vespa exported abroad ITaly. Sorry... on realty the last chassis number can be also from the last year of production. Anyhow one of the latest PX ever produced!

My friend, you have an LML NV 150. Good scoot but not Piaggio.
Back in the late 1960's, Ducati had the identical style shifter on their small displacement motorcycles.
The Best Vespa ever made!
Perfect review 👌 your scooter is spotless
Cool review dude. Got a black 2016 one myself. Love it 👍 Ride safe
Thanks for a good description of the Vespa. I am thinking of buying a pink Vespa in future. Hmmmmm!!!

I had a red one about 30years ago. Interested to see if they’ve changed.

what a great review.. thanx
Why did Vespa release these with a smaller engine size after the px200’s? I don’t get why they did that.

@@samihasib Hi. Gear and clutch cables are fine. Oil level is fine. I put in 250ml of fresh oil but the issue persists.

@@samihasib Hi. If it were the cruciform, would that not affect all gears too?
Not always. Cruciforms can wear in a certain pattern that affects only one gear. Not common but can happen.

HHHHM GR8 VIDEO WITH LOT OF DETAILS
On the PX200 you mentioned you didn’t need the battery, assume same for the 150
nope. got the same model, a px 150 2011. with a defect battery the horn wouldnt work properly, which is crucial in technical checks, we have every two yrs in Germany mandatory...
needs bettery for electronic start, but yeah, you can otherwise ride it by kickstarting. It will still work without battery.
Tha nks for your video. What will happen if i remove the catayltic converter? What pipe do you recommend? I'm in WA.
Removing the cat converter and up jetting to 100 (from 96) will make the PX significantly quicker. I installed Polini Original Box exhaust
