I’m an Aussie and it’s easy to see you guys are Canadians. If you were American you wouldn’t give a rats about the sugar content lol. That’s not insulting you by the way. I haven’t actually met a Canadian I didn’t like. But then I haven’t met Justin Trudeau yet. lol

Can I also mention that Tim-Tams ran several limited edition variations over the past few years, commissioned from Adrian Zumbo. Flavours included: Coconut Cream, Choc Raspberry, Red Velvet Cream Cheese, Salted Caramel. They where awesome!
"Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo" coffee is the one and only choice.
Honestly guys, Arnotts have every combination of sweet chocolate biscuits (cookies to our US viewers) that you can think of. There are millions of Aussies who hate it when a variety gets discontinued. I have to have a packet of salted caramel Tim Tams and a packet of Lemon Crisps in my pantry for me as well as a packet of Chocolate Royale for my grandchildren because they love their biscuit with a raspberry jam layer, marshmallow topped, chocolate covered biscuits … a “posher” version of the Wagon Wheel biscuit.
Cookies to Aussies are like the round choc chip stuff, that isn't actually Australian. When we talk about biscuits, we mean biscuits that can be dunked in tea or coffee... shortbread, milk arrowroot, scotch finger, ginger, etc......
@@noone6559 yes, and to an American “biscuits” are the equivalent of our scones. I think Americans would probably also call English suet dumplings a “biscuit” too even though you place it on top of a stew or casserole to cook. I make Yorkshire Puddings (my hubby is a Yorkshireman) and I believe that Americans call them “popovers”. Many American names for food differ to other English speaking countries. At least we all call “muffins”, muffins. It’s just a shame that they haven’t discovered the joy of savoury meat pies in all their gloriously different flavours.
Works better if you freeze the Timtam then the chocolate outside stays firm and the insides melt 😊

The o isn't dropped it's devoiced to a short mid close back vowel rhyming with peanuts: ARnuts.

Try TT’s slam - Salted caramel with Scotch, Rum or bourbon.
Strong coffee with sweet TT is the go.
They also come in dark chocolate! I keep my Tim Tams in the fridge cos they don't melt so fast!

if you use milk instead of a hot beverage, you can savour it a little longer without having to worry about it disintegrating :)
Try with cold milk, the centre has a little firmness and it lessens the sweetness.
tea? NOOOOO.. Coffee is ok.. You want HOT CHOCOLATE.. (we also use hot Milo, an aAussie Choc Malt drink)
Apparently Barbara Butch (the person in the middle) said that it was a ‘parody’ of the last supper on her social media before it was taken down (but not before screenshots were taken as proof). If the the people involved in this display have said that it was the last supper I don’t know where the idea of it representing Greek gods came from. Probably the IOA trying to cover their butts.
Arnett’s not Arnott’s. The Tim Tam biscuit was named after an American thoroughbred racehorse that won the 1958 Kentucky Derby and Preakness Stakes.

Pronounciation is hard to explain via comment. Try. “Ah nts” definitely isn’t a NOT sound, although spelt that way. I’m sure we would screw up Canadian or American words too so no shade. I used to LOVE LOVE LOVE Tim Tams growing up until I found out they contain cochineal which is colouring extracted from insects 🤢 hidden as “natural colours/flavours”. Look at how many products use “natural flavours and colours” in food products. They get away with it via a loophole where they don’t have to reveal their “secret” recipe. But just gross. So sadly no more Tim Tams for me.

Something milky like a Milo or hot chocolate drink is best.
Now try it with coffee, specifically espresso coffee. Tea doesn't work that well - it melts the tim tam but does nothing for the flavour.
