    Gave it a go last night from my usual technique (manufactures instructions on bottle). Worked like a charm!

    So even when using a DA with a foam cutting pad, I should put no pressure on it?

    I will give this a try very soon. Heat is always a bad thing for the foam pads too!

    Living in North Dakota, the weather is like a kick in the go-betweens most of the time. Summer lasts about as long as this TH-cam video. But the benefits of cold polishing might be one of the few advantages. Glass half full!

    Yvan is back, but where's the rest of him?!!! Swear he looks way trimmer than when he last appeared on detalks.

    Does this mean you actually want to use a higher speed when finishing? Eg. To be the best finish start slow speed no pressure then increase speed and add a tiny amount of pressure?
    Excellent info that I’ll make sure I implement. Thank you

      Tom Fanshawe cool, slow and low start to finish. Heat is detrimental in all stages of paint correction.

    Biggest takeaway.... paint diff to be max 20 degrees F during polishing. Guess it's time to break out the ice water sprayer

      @TheMuslimMayhem 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It's not hard to do. With little to no pressure and a low speed, the temp differential should only be 7 degrees or less without having to really try or worry about it. You actually have to be trying to get a temp differential above 20 degrees.

  • @martin05916
    @martin05916 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    That 20 degrees differential - is that Celsius or Fahrenheit?

    Are the compounds with diminishing abrasives working good enough with this technique, eg. with no pressure?
