that damn bird made my life hell on my first playthrough. now, on new game plus, i make it my personal mission to roast that chicken every time i see it. Thieve style, formless feint & blades of pyre. a few quick burst and he died in 10-15 second flat!
Im 100% convinced they made them more abundant because they were hardly fought in the first game and i agree,they were very elusive and werent a common sight in the open wilderness,a lot of people didnt even knew they could be farmed or fought outside 3 scripted events tied to a quest,they would just randomly pop out in to existence without you ever knowing unless a pawn mentioned it,but here you can actually see them flying around hunting from very far away,they have their routes and nests and honestly i preffer it to be this way,good exp,good materials,not hard or easy to kill and its ost is great.
I had a moment the other day where we were fighting an ogre, then a second ogre joined the party, while fighting both of them then a freaking griffin comes and lands on top of us. Was absolutely wild. Moments like that are why I've really enjoyed this game.
the sad thing is, that its not happening as often as i would like. There were only 4-5 moments like these where 2 monster appeared at the same time. It was the most fun i had in the game. on a side Note. The Drakes are fuccing annoying and no fun to fight against. I would have loved for them to be more aggressive with close combat and less spamming meteors

I hadn't ridden properly in an oxcart since the beginning of the game so the next time I set foot on one with the intention of letting it take me to a destination... I was level 105 at the time. The first little Saurian group we ran into hit the cart so hard they exploded it ;D No griffin required. It's a good thing I prefer running everywhere and killing everything in sight.
In my new game plus play through I took a ride to Melve and got attacked by a griffin, then 2 ogres and after I beat them I got into a fight with a dragon. Definitely was not like that the first play through
