I changed my pcv valve with out taking out the intake manifold. Wasn't all that easy but saved alot of time.

@@AP-bo1if I went from underneath the car. Loosen the dip stick gave a tiny bit more room but I used a pry bar to pop old one off because I had new clip removed the clap on the hose and it came out. Putting it back in reverse order.
@@seanbruce9083 thanks. so you didn't even the take bolts out for the PCV retainer?
@@AP-bo1if no I just changed the valve. I wasn't gonna pull the hole intake out just for that valve.
@@AP-bo1if if you wanna take the hole thing out I'm sure u will have to pull the intake unless you got small arms and long arms to reach the top bolts lol.
You guys realize that all the inexpensive parts to replace on this engine are the hardest to get to ?? I.e. pcv valve, thermostat, and the most expensive ones the easiest?? I.e. high pressure pump (800 bucks), mass airflow sensor.... Can't say that wasn't intentional!!
Hi is it necessary to replace the plastic oil separator case or could I just clean it up and put it back. I assume I need a new gasket.

Do you guys have a link for a crankcase breather hose replacement (between the pcv valve and intake manifold) I had to tear my one off as it looks like it was glued back on the intake plus both clips look really worn and rough
Link for valve Sat's unavailable . I have an ongoing issue I've had 1 injector reppaced under warranty as ot eventually showed up on system (no engine lights) I've had intermittent rough idling irraric and once over say 3k revs the power and idling temp goes but under those revs it returns it is happening less since the I Hector was done and the garage have lent me a diagnostic kit a good one but any ideas ? Pcv ? Egr? Thanks on advance

I can not believe that is necessary to remove the intake manifold just for a PC valve.
Doing it from underneath tonight, but it is very difficult and tight. Toyght like a Toyger.
I've got a mazdaspeed 3
that's blowing heaps of smoke
Leaking g oil on turbo
Blowing the dipstick out
Number 3 cylinder is very wet when looking down spark plug hole
Is this multiple problems
Crankcase pressure seams very high
having these issues currently. Hoping its just PCV
I got it off without removing anything.
Did you have to go under?
My hands are black and covered in grease and oil and from underneath the car in the grass, the dipstick tube is in the way here. Im working around it and trying not to get frustrated. So, I'm here to say thank you for this video on how to remove the clip. I've been under there a half an hour already with my light, getting the pvc hose off. I have a small screw driver and a bent pick set, I'm going back out there to try to not break that clip. The hose is off and very clogged and dirty. Damn Cx-7s with their intercoolers on top the hot engine. I just wish I would have bought the non turbo version with no FO MO CO stamped everywhere... Codes are P 2177, 2178 and 0300.
