For those wondering, I have Fibromyalgia, ME/CFS and am still in the process of identifying an auto-immune disease that is giving me some nasty symptoms as well.
Jazza, I need to thank you. As a chronically ill wheelchair using geek, I would seriously hang this on my wall. It brought tears to my eyes. As soon as I have the funds, i will be purchasing a print. I can't put into words how amazing it feels to have people like me in a wheelchair, represented.
Angel S. Actually a lot oh wheelchair users are geeks. Which is why i am so excited that he depicted it that way. Being wheelchair bound and living with painful chronic illnesses takes up so much of your energy that often times video games, books, and tv are the only chance at temporary escape.

Have you thought of ever writing this character's full story? I'm really curious now; she's super-interesting and I'd love to know more about her and her world.
This character basically exists in one of the Sword Art Online anime series. I think it’s specifically in Sword Art Online II. She’s named Zekken.
If you are interested in VR series I recommend all the Sword Art Online series and Gun Gale series.
Maybe you could write your own! Take it in your own direction. I certainly have some ideas for her already.

Aqono Luna people draw a lot of disabled characters, people with fake limbs and stuff.
As someone with a chronic illness/disability, I absolutely LOVE this character design. I really appreciate that when talking about the real world character, you never pity her, you just speak of her like a person. So often, characters with disabilities exist to evoke pity. You're supposed to feel sorry for said character. I know this is just a goofy character design session, but you never talk about how sad her life is or anything like that. How we talk about people with disabilities matters, and I appreciate how you approached this piece.

I completely connect with you as also having a disability. Honestly when I saw the final design I thought I saw me as a woman and not a preteen/teen.

As a disabled 20 year old woman who grew up wiccan (type of pagan) with chronic pain, that exact hair, tattoos, who loves gaming and D&D (I'm a gnome assassin) I was creeped out how accurate this was to me 😄 but anyway, this was so inspiring and uplifting to watch. Thank you so much ❤

As a chronically ill/disabled (crutches & sometimes wheelchair) gamer...both video & table top role-play..this hit home for me. Thanks for making such an insightful work of art! I even often play handheld video games while getting IVs! Helps me escape from what’s going on.

Why do I feel like that is an accurate metaphor for my life?
I very rarely comment on anything here on TH-cam i've always enjoyed being a spectator. However this time, I just cant help but to say something. Since I have followed you for many years now, I have had the pleasure of seeing most of your videos. None of them hit me quite like this, none of them resonated more with me than anything. I am 19 and been bound to a chair after a serious accident during a football(soccer) game. I am here 5 surgeries later, but I am more inspired than ever! I had to let go of the dreams within sport that i had, But i have art now. I might not ever be able to play sports, but i still find the same joys in E-sport. The adrenaline, the rush, the team play. All and everything this drawing represents, I love. Thank you Jazza for making this, it really made my day.

You could try using a dungeons and dragons character sheet to design a character, then bring them to life.
I'm 16 and a wheelchair user for my chronic illness, I love this piece with my whole heart, I also have the same hair lol. I hate being hooked up to machines, and there is basically nothing available to help my condition except a heart transplant, I so want to hang this on my wall!!!!! Thankyou Jazza for this depiction and helping normalise disability in young people...
Having been part of this character design session, I am SO glad to see how many more disabled people have popped up in the comments agreeing with me that this was EPIC - we rarely see disabled characters portrayed sympathetically and this was so good to see. As I said on Twitch - this is basically me, if you buy me a VR headset! LOL Thank you again, Jazza, for creating a character I can truly identify with.
And I'd like to make it clear (just generally, not to Jazza or anyone specifically) that - while THIS character was introverted and housebound, not all disabled people are, nor SHOULD they be. But there was far more discussion that went on in this amazing session than can ever be covered in this 12-minute video. :)

Tobias, what the *heck* are you on about? I am well aware that Professor Xavier uses a mobility aid - Deadpool doesn't though I imagine you could stretch him to still fit in the "disabled" category, and I'm also aware of Barbara Gordon - how about you? So that's great. Two mobility aid using, disabled characters. Oh, and let's not forget Hawkeye is supposed to be Deaf... because the MCU really kept that going right? The POINT is, superheroes are cool and all, but they're not exactly relatable on a day to day basis. Whether you like it or not, disabled people are NOT represented accurately OR often in the media. When was the last time you watched a TV show and saw a character using a mobility aid where it wasn't used as either inspiration porn or as the fundamental point of their storyline? Where are the "regular" people who are doing "regular" stuff but just HAPPEN to be disabled? Oh, they aren't?
And honestly? Perhaps if you didn't see yourself all over the media on a regular basis, and when you did, it was only using a bunch of tired stereotypes, then maybe YOU would appreciate seeing something you can identify with a bit more too. But sure. Assume I'm just "looking for attention".
In Greek mythology, Asclepius is the god of medicine and he has his 'Rod of Asclepius' which has one serpent on it. However people often mistakenly use Hermes' (god of trade, wealth, luck, fertility, language, thieves, and travel, among other things) staff as a symbol for medicine; which in the staff with two serpents. Just thought I'd mention that. 😋💜

your using the plural form of die wrong.
BiloGaget and you're using 'your' wrong. But there are ways to reply to comments that don't read as malicious. Just like die/ dice, mixing up the usage is super common, and not a huge deal in non-formal writing as long as the intent is clear from the context.
Plus, the idea sounds amazing, and I read dice and immediately imagined 5 or 6 different coloured D20s rolled at the same time for each trait and this is ABSOLUTELY a thing that has to happen!

I know you already read some heartfelt comments and stories and mine probably won’t get any response, but I just wanted to thank you so so so much for drawing a wheelchair bound character in an empowered way. I’m confined to my wheelchair and I suffer from a disease that causes my bones to fracture and break easily. I feel an extreme amount of pain on a daily basis, and I’ve always wanted to see someone give a person in a wheelchair (and one with hair that’s purple like mine, who’d have guessed it?) in a position of empowerment. I’m so glad it was you. ❤️

Just felt like i had to say in the (im not sure) period of music , they use to use a dice to create music . They would role a dice to see if it should be a minim , crotchet , etc. ( thats how long you hold the note) then they see if they wanted what time it should be in 4/4 time , 3/4 time etc. and so fourth . Its was indeed creative to do but i feel i should let you know it wasn't something new.

Everything you make on this channel is so impressive and inspiring!! I haven't drawn for a while and I think it's mainly because I felt that I needed to improve all the time so I felt pressure that my drawings had to get better. Now I've started drawing again (mainly because of you!) and I'm just having fun with it, doing challenges and trying new things! And I've realised that I'm actually learning a lot by it, because I draw new things and because I don't feel the pressure that what I make have to look great.

I love this, Jazza! It’s very emotional and impactful, seeing a woman crippled by life getting to experience her true inner self due to technology, even if it is only a drawing. If only the people around her could see how well she soars. (^-^)
You should do a collab with Sims 4 TH-camrs (Like The Sim Supply or Deligracy). This means that you get a high leveled painter sim, have them do a painting, and then try to recreate it in real life. For the other persons channel you could do a CAS (Create A Sim) challenge.

the caduceus is a symbol of the Greek God Hermes who is not a healer. He is the god of merchants, thieves, and the messenger of the Gods. The symbol for healing does have a snake on a staff but not wings. The staff is owned by a son of Apollo. Apollo is the God of healing, music, poetry, etc.
People get the staffs mixed up which really bothers me so....just had to get that out.

The Caduceus is also traditionally associated with healing, actually. I’m not sure if someone else already said this, so sorry if I’m repeating. There are a few of these snake stick things and they look different, but I can’t recognize them on-sight and don’t know which one Jazza was thinking of. However, both the Caduceus and the staff you were talking about are associated with healing.

Joshua Nissola sure is! What's funny is that the God of healing and medicine, Asclepius, has a similar staff with a single snake and no wings and this was more typically used to represent medical organisations, but the use of Cadeceus has become popularised and is more familiar for most people.

Watched the whole drawing process and it wasn’t until the final walkthrough on the artwork that I had to double-take, rewind and screamed. THE TRIFORCE!!!!
Instead of white out - you might want to try the Sakura Decorese white gel pen. It’s _probably_ finer than the white out pen, and it definitely comes out more opaque than any other white gel pen I’ve used. The only drawback is that it’s definitely not as fine as a Gelly Roller or even the Uni-ball Signo, I only recommend it because I think the pros outweigh the cons of the typical white out pen. It flows _so_ smoothly. It has a really uniquely constructed ball point. You can actually feel the ball being pushed back into the ink cartridge as you set the pen on the paper, and I think that’s what helps the ink flow so well and opaque.

This needs to be a regular series on your channel! I cannot draw so I watch you for my creative fix needs and this is by far my favorite video! I just love the predictable yet unpredictability of this! It soothes me. Haha
wow this was impeccable, it moved me as an artist and inspired me to aspire to have the same kind of creative mindset. This piece alone feels like it doesnt even need a story anymore, for the story is complete just in the illustration itself.

Why did I not think of this until now? *JAZZA* You should do a free app random generator, that works this way! So the Arty games app (being that it's a lot more detailed) is your paid app, and this system could be a cheapie, not as fancy, for people who can't afford the more expensive app (i.e. kids). And all the adds on the free one, could be entirely to do with Arty games!

Rafee Ashraf as someone who went over 10k in debt just to get food, I can assure you $3 can feel expensive. And before you say "if you can't afford food, you can't afford internet" I was a student on disability, and I had to have Internet for my studies. Also, many artist children don't have access to electronic funds, and therefore can only get free apps. Not every child has access to their parents' bank account(s). It's not that it a lot of money in the grand scheme of things, it's just that there are many reasons someone may not be able to spend money on an app.

Gotta remember that jazza is trying to make a living as well, the app hasn’t been updated in forever because he’s busy with other stuff. Making a free app would take a lot of dedicated time the dude doesn’t have. Besides if you do want the app for free you can always download the apk. The Pip While that is true, Asclepius’ staff was in fact confused with Hermes’, so they used Hermes’ staff as a symbol for ambulances and such. So really, while it wasn’t intended to represent it, Hermes’ staff does represent healing or medicine.
