Thanks for your comment! Yeah, Argentina mixing it up nicely with multiple options every time they run the ball, not simply moving it from left to right. They're a proper threat when they get into motion. Thanks for checking out the video and please subscribe if you'd like :) - Jeremy
We needed a Faf, to unsettle their rhythm and pressurize the 1st and 2nd receiver's. They play so deep, they give themselves time and space. If you can shut them down fast, you can keep them behind the advantage line. Better still, if you can effect a turnover from an error, with them playing well behind the advantage line and stacked heavily to the one side of the field, there's opportunity to punish them on a counter attack. Problem for the defending side, because they so heavily stacked, they creating 2 on 1's, 4 on 2's, 6 on 3's and they have the ball skills to exploit those over laps. Anyway, let us see how it goes in Nelspruit. I'm expecting and hoping for a significant win, 15-20 points at least. As good as Argentina have been, their set piece, particularly scrums is not the weapon it once was. In fact, it was their Achilles heel in the Santiago test. Their tight 5 enjoy the tight lose but have forgotten the nuances of a tight, forward orientated grind. Kremer out injured is a big loss for them. Thanks for the vlog Oh, player of the match Ox or Tomas Albornoz.
Thanks for the awesome comment. Yeah, they play VERY deep and have 3 or more passing options every time - it makes it tricky to read on defence. You're 100% on the turnover and counterattack opportunity, because they'll be completely stacked on one side and leaving the other vulnerable. Boks need to force those errors though, as the Argies aren't throwing wild passes - they're clean, simple, and accurate. How to Boks disrupt this will be interesting. Thanks for your comment - love the technical rugby chat and that's what I'm trying to bring to the table :) - Jeremy.
Great analysis !! Game was so emotional that I didn't pay attention of what your are mentioning. I just wonder why the pumas didn`t play the last penalty, go for a line out and try to score 7..
Excellent analysis! Good work 👍🏼👏👏👏👏👏 My fellow countrymen of Argentina have gone a long way to finally be able to face and challenge the best teams in the world. They still lack consistency, but they now have the resources needed to beat the big boys as long as they manage to put them to work during most parts of a match. Thank you very much to Southafrica’s rugby for this! Without your great support during the last 15 years this would have not been possible! Everyone in Argentina knows that and we are and will always be very grateful to you! Cheers 🥂
I think credit to coaching staff of argentina for noting that our best defensive player will not be there in PS and running to the side the forwards are defending
@TomiAlbornoz is amazing! A top-form lad and the main reason why our brave Pumas have displayed such a high level of (attacking or moving around) game. #La10EsDeFideo #Pumas
He's unreal - as I mentioned, to push Carreras out the starting spot, it takes a lot. I think Pumas have a proper weapon with Albornoz, he seems to be able to adapt between Test level strategy and on-the-fly attack. It's impressive. Thanks for the comment, checking out the video, and subscribing. - Jeremy
Thanks for the comment and checking out the video man! Yeah, I think it requires a bold approach to attack and a high passing skillset. If the ball is turned over, you're in big trouble, but it works extremely well. Stolen from rugby league essentially. - Jeremy.
I think you've got it pretty well summed up . Full kudos to their coaching staff and the flyhalf's ability to exploit the close channels. But I do think Rassie's biggest lesson was that without Eben and Pieter-Steff the pack was not able to dominate and their overall work rate was not what it would otherwise have been.
Thanks for the comment and checking the video! Yeah I agree, Eben and PTSD need to be on the field from a defensive perspective, and at breakdowns. They offer so much. I think this weekend will be a lot different. - Jeremy
The boks concentrate too much on power tries and neglect excellent running rugby. They wait for moments instead of creating them like Argentina did this weekend.
The power game works, but if you aren't hitting the right player at the right time on defence and dominating those collisions, it means little. I agree, they've got to mix it up with some layered attack. Thanks for the comment man! - Jeremy
Rassie's underestimation of Argentina could prove costly. With the championship on the line, Argentina, hungry for a victory, has a significant advantage. While I'm a Springbok supporter, I fear that our failure to capitalize on early opportunities in the first test may come back to haunt us. If we don't learn from our mistakes, we risk losing not only the match but also the championship.
Agreed, Boks went from an electric start, racking up 17 points, to dipping off in the end. Previously, they would switch on in the second-half only. It's a cliche, but they really need to string together 80 minutes performances again, getting the bench timing right, and start and finish with intensity. Thanks for the comment and checking the video Mike! - Jeremy
It is a little bizarre, as Marx is usually pinpoint up until lately. I definitely think the Bok boys will be drilling lineouts all week XD. Thanks for the comment man. - Jeremy
Who thinks it's a good idea to have Libbok taking the kicks though? Surely you'd ensure there is a decent kicker on whenever you have him for his general game? France do it with Ramos.
@@GhaniGallant I know nothing about the sport mate,,, nothing,,,, I just know who to give respect to and Argentina ain’t there yet you can belieeeee that…..Rassie got out coached 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Aregentina beat SA due to poor selections by Erasmus. Am at 12? Am is a shadow of the player he was in 2019 and 2020. Esterhuizen should have been in the team. Moerat is a lability at lock and should not be in the squad. Physicality of backs is poor without De Allende. Our backs are beatable by big, direct backs.
I questioned Am at 12 prior to this match in a recent video (you can check it out on the channel), and had a lot of scrutiny from commenters. Am is a superb player at 13, but playing inside centre at Test level against someone like Chocobares is a different beast. The Boks pride themselves on being dynamic and versatile in positions with their players (look at Kolbe, Willemse etc), but some players are not built that way. Putting Am at 12 is a waste of his core skillset. Thanks for the comment, man! And for checking out the video. - Jeremy

No mention of Hendrikse's DIVE over García on the last "penalty"?
Both scrumhalves were MILKING those tacklers not rolling away.
@@RugbyInformer True every 9 tries to milk those penalties... but blatantly diving belly first was a first one, I've never seen that ever.
What about Marx’s atrocious lineout throws, Pollard not making a single tackle in the game & Steenekamp constantly giving penalties away in every game
