Its a great team. One of the Best in the World. Without some doubts (like the one that made us lost against a very poor Australia in the last play) Argentina is one of the 5 Best teams in the World. 4th place in RWC 23. The same in RWC 15 and 3rd im RWC 07. Ireland never played a semi finals RWC match.

Would have been very unfair if Libbok had slotted that last kick, after Hendrickse's massive forward pass and immediately duping the ref by pinning the player in the ruck.
True... but in all fairness the ref blew that sort of breakdown pining for Argentina all day so he was consistent there. With that said Argentina deserved to win. They played great.

The tactic to pin the player and get a penalty was always there? Seems like a dirty trick being abused.
As an Argentine I think that we were lucky in that last SA kick, luck is always important to win a match, but we won by a hair, I see it from self-criticism without triumphalism and recognizing that we played very good rugby...but there is to continue improving even more.

No sé si hemos llegado a ser tan competitivos como para estar entre los 6 mejores equipos del mundo, pero se nota mucho que Argentina juega los partidos del RC de otra manera. El juego de manos mejoro mucho, los ataques de Argentina son realmente peligrosos, la defensa puede contener a grandes equipos. Aun falta mejorar muchas cosas realmente, pero se ha notado un salto de calidad muy grande. Argentina juega tranquila frente a grandes equipos, cosa que hace apenas unos años no sucedia. Los Pumas hace 3-4 años cometian muchos errores que contra equipos grandes costaban muy caros.

Tbh when he replaced Pollard I said that it would have been better to move Pollard to full back as we are going to need his boot later and we did. The penalty was quite gettable, Libbok could not cope with the pressure

Are we not gonna say anything about the shameful call by the referee that decided to gift the match to South Africa? The Argentinian tackler was trying to roll away, then a South African comes and fall over him so he can't move, and the referee gifts a penalty to South Africa for not rolling away (besides the fact that in that position he wasn't obstructing the ball coming out of the ruck).
It's always the same old story, the referees change but the instructions they receive from above are always the same: favor the powerful.
It was an act of justice that Libbok missed that kick.

Pumas were awarded a fair few penalties during the match for the same exact reason, it’s called consistency! Excellent call from the ref! Even though he missed a few others favouring SA. @@OttoHelmutIt was a perfect call. The ref has been consistent with that same call against SA throughout the game although he missed a few in our favour. So good on him for keeping consistent at least for that last call...
