Apple seeds contain a cyanide- and sugar-based compound called amygdalin. The seeds have a strong outer layer that is resistant to digestive juices. But if you chew the seeds, human (or animal) enzymes come in contact with the amygdalin, cutting off the sugar part of the molecule, The Guardian reported. What’s left of the compound can then decompose, producing hydrogen cyanide. Cyanide itself is a rapidly acting, potentially deadly chemical that kills by preventing cells in the body from using oxygen, according to the CDC.
I am so envy of you, Cecilia Blomhdal. I really hate the sun !! To me the best life you can possible have is to never ever wacth the sun !! Been in absolutely dark, will be the best life ever !! Eat salmon. They good in vitamin D.

Thank you Cecilia for sharing this with us ; you always seem so positive and joyful that it’s hard to tell that you’re struggling with something. I’m always very impressed by the high quality of your work, and I hope that knowing that we are out there supporting you, will help you till the blue light comes back in february !
I had to laugh when Grim "shamed the family" by chasing a fox! Your editing of a single bark, followed by a loud "Grim!", the truck starting, then the reappearance of the truck and a very happy puppy was absolutely hilarious. ( I watched it twice. 😁😁😁) I, too, have enjoyed Christoffer... "Cecelia does the sweaty work." Thank you for sharing your lives in Svalbard! Love from Las Vegas!!❤❤❤
While I don’t live in the arctic, I feel the same about January. The cold is cozy and warm during the holidays but January’s dark dreary weather is crushing.
Cecilia, The other day I was telling my granddaughter about the aurora borealis because I was inspired by your videos and your life. I told her you live there in the darkness, but you get the treat of the auroras. I got to wondering if there was a name for the auroras in the southern hemisphere and I looked it up and found out it’s called Aurora Australis. So I was able to give her a little science lesson and wondered if you could create videos for little children to explain things that are so different to most of the rest of the world. I just wanted to tell you how much you’ve inspired me, and now my little granddaughter.
Cecilia, there is a LIGHT by VERILUX called THE HAPPY LIGHT and it mimics daylight... if you sit in front of it, especially while you're working, it has been proven to really "UP" your mood as being in the sunshine!! Many people in America use this in the winter time! You are a very Joyful and appreciative girl! If you are feeling "down", it's definitely the lack of light!!! And you are definitely someone who is a LIGHT in this world!
I use one! When I moved to the northeast US, dark winters made me very down and tired so I have started using the Verilux and supplementing with Vit D as part of getting through the dark times in a healthier way.
Oh Celia! Feel for you.....I hate having to stay in....get as much fresh air outside as you can to make you feel a little better, Can only suggest to get better conditions to suit you all, it’s not healthy, have a holiday in more normal daylight somewhere else for 2 weeks to feel the benefits of this. Grimm can go also. Go .Do not let it get worse your body will reject the darkness, you may get depression, not what you want at all.
I couldn't even begin to imagine going this long without sunlight. I take it for granted since I live in Florida. Stay positive, the midnight sun will be there sooner than you think ☀️

I also can not imagine going so so long without daylight. Living in norther germany, Ive been already struggling with really gloomy, rainy weather. The Kind of days when you are waiting for the Sun to rise but it just doesnt seem to get any brighter. The Kind of days, when you need to turn on your lights, even around noon. It really makes my Motivation to get anything done dip. Absolute Champagne Problems though, considering other people go without any Kind of daylight for months lmao
I live in FL too and get depressed when we have to turn the clocks back. Also during those 2 to 3 months of never ending rain. Id be happy if hiking trails didn't close at sunset, but we have too many bad guys I guess.
I’m in southern Sweden, so we don’t get polar night here but to be honest I feel like I would be able to handle that better than I would the grey, rainy, gloomy days we get an absolute abundance of here during autumn and winter. Those are SO much harder for me - at least when it’s really cold and super snowy you can feel like everything is magical and cozy and you’re living inside a snow globe. When it’s grey and dull and wet it’s just…depressing.
I am not even living up north, but I still have these feelings you go through at the onset of winter and then the plunge after Christmas. Where I live, it isn’t the darkness that is suffocating, it is the grey lid of winters‘ clouds that robs everything of its colour. It is like the mist resides in your head and takes over. Sitting by the fire is nice and warm, but it doesn’t fill you up like the sun.
I have the same feelings. I live in Germany, winter normally isn't extremely cold, and nowadays we don't get snow often where I live, but after Christmas, I start feeling tired and drained. And like you wrote, it's the grey sky, and sometimes the rain, that starts getting on your nerves after a while. February and March tend to be the hardest months for me, sometimes we have cold weather until April, sometimes even snow, and it takes a toll on my wellbeing. I try to distract myself by cooking extra yummy meals and watching a lot of travel documentaries.
Oh my lovely lady! Chin up! Sending you light and love through a rainbow. You’re almost there! Sun fest is right around the corner. You’ve been an inspiration for me. You are ☀️ sunshine ☀️! You bring joy and comfort to so many people around the world. Your positivity, grace, and perspective have gotten me through my “darkest” days during this pandemic and through the loss of my husband. You’re a special lady and you’ve got this!!! Your videos are such a great part of my week and when I get an alert that you’ve uploaded a new video, I can’t wait to cozy up with my puppy and see the beauty of your life on Svalbard. The lights of the village when you’re on that mountain top with Grim we’re so beautiful and bright. Can’t wait for cabin trip weekend videos. Stay strong and know we’re rootin for ya! Our family is from Northern Sweden, the advice my grandma gave me, even though we live in Switzerland now, go out, walk, relax, listen or make music and look forward to the first sunrise, don't drink alcohol. You are strong! 🤗
I feel for you Cecilia, wish I could give you a hug, but instead I'll try to pep you up. You have the cutest floofy dog who never seems to be unhappy, we all should see the day through our pets' eyes. You also live in such a unique place on the planet; because of your videos you have inspired so many of your viewers to visit the Arctics. Your enthusiasm for your home is beautiful and so are you!

Cristoffer’s voiceover and cooking demo made me so happy!! I know he is shy but I for one love when he shares his knowledge and let’s his personality come out. Much love and California sun to all of you during this dark winter time!
I absolutely love these videos where you sit and talk with us. I love watching you build your fire stack your logs, drink your coffee and sit and just tell us about yourself n your life. I feel like I'm spending time. With a family friend. You can never tell us too much. Your life is super interesting And the scenes you send us are spectacular.
Whenever I'm struggling, I try to let it be ok that I'm struggling and not judge myself and any self-judgement I'm feeling cuz I know I'm always doing the best I can - if I could do "better", I already would be
Can't say I'm happy when I saw the title but I am happy you're talking about it, your videos are usually so positive but no one's life is just all positive and there shouldn't be shame in talking about it. Thank you for the video, and the tips, they work for everyone no matter where they live. Getting out in the nature helps a lot.

Social media makes everything look like it’s doable or that we can press through. Many record and try to live life through these platforms. But when the camera stops rolling..real life sets in…and you have to deal with the reality. I think there are so many people who love to talk about things that they haven’t mastered. Too many these days do and post things just to upload but their true feelings they keep to themselves.
Really gives me perspective to appreciate the sun… here in Australia we are having 15 hours of daylight per day, unlike the polar night you are experiencing now and the midnight sun you experience for over 4 months. Your videos are like a bedtime story for me 👌 such a fascinating place to live…
Hi Cecilia, I suffer from severe depression, panic attacks and anxiety symptoms after losing my dad, my fur baby, my grandma, our house and generational wealth, your videos keeps me going when I feel like I'm trapped in the dark❤
Thank you for sharing this! I found your channel and have been binging on episodes. They make me feel good and happy! I love the way you view Nature and get so excited about the little things! I am very similar! I live in Massachusetts and I deal with SAD yearly. I’m in it now and it just creeps up and it’s a really hard time right now. I appreciate you sharing this as I don’t feel so alone. Also I love you and Christopher. He seems to be getting more comfortable in front of the camera. I think we would all love more of it! Thank you for sharing your life with us!! Much love from Massachusetts ❤️😊
When I walk my dog in the early morning and I'm feeling a little depressed about the darkness at 7am. I often think of you and remember that I am lucky to get to see the sun around 8am until 4:30pm at this time of year. In the North of England we moan about the short days, they are nothing compared to the polar night. Keep strong young Lady.
Think of it like a seed that is in the ground. It has to endure the dark, the cold, the quiet for the life that is going to come forth in the spring. Winter is a time for reflection and inner preparation. 😌 Life returns! ☀️🥰🎶
You have so many virtual “friends” on the other side of the screen. We are all cheering for you to make it through the rest of this darkness. You’re amazing!! 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻 Thank you for sharing your experiences with us. 😁
Cecelia, I admire you so much for the life you live in Svalbard. I lived in Alaska for a couple of years and the darkness I experienced was nothing compared to yours. I cannot imagine not seeing the sun for two plus months. Stay strong and find your peace and calm. You are amazing. Did you ever see the movie THE GOLDEN COMPASS? With Nicole Kidman. At one scene the Polar bear said he was from Svalbard. I immediately thought of you. Take care.
I live in Kentucky USA. Our days are shorter but we do have night and day. I like it to get dark earlier in November and love it for December. I love the dark gray days of December. Makes the Christmas lights and home feel so cozy. It’s great but just like you said then comes January! January is one of the hardest months for me too. It seems like January makes me tired and lazy feeling. It brings me down. But I always remember no matter what “this too shall pass” nothing stays the same, Spring will come. Hang in there!! Much love from Southeastern Kentucky, USA 🇺🇸!
I can't begin to understand what that much darkness is like but I live in Northern Canada so I kind of get it. Yesterday was International Blue Monday and things will get better. Remember that it's always darkest before dawn. You inspire so so many people. Hang in there.

I started power-lifting at age 50. I am 52 now. Spent 20 years running long-distance then switched over! I LOVE that you are strong! It shows! Your endurance is top-notch! You face any and every challenge head-on! Such an inspiration! I LOVE the cold/snow and I am usually the one out shoveling my yard and then the neighbors!! (Colorado)
I know many people were touched by what you said, about immersing yourself in the dark. I see so many therapists take this approach about so many different feelings we might be feeling: accepting, going with it etc. Whether it is actual darkness, anxiety, etc. I am very excited for you guys to see the sun. February is so close! Greetings from Romania.
I live in northern climate and have had SAD for many years now. I work hard at not letting it rule my winter fun. Like you , getting outdoors, massage, floating tank, meditation, yoga and light box. It is a bit of work but well worth it. I plan time with friends for times when I may have more energy. Hope light comes back soon as that really is the cure!
I totally understand your feelings. I live in central Canada and we are all trying to stay home and free of omicron. We have just recently had a blizzard and now it is -35C. However, on the coldest days, we do have sunshine and for that I am happy. Thinking of you on the final weeks of the polar night!!
Cecilia thank you for sharing the good, the bad and the ugly of polar nights. I am wondering about the effect on your eyes, and if you have 2 hours to spare, I would highly recommend a podcast by Dr Andrew Huberman, a neurobiologist who specializes in Opthalmology at Stanford Univ about the connection between our eyes and the part of the brain that regulates our wake/sleep cycles, mood, and so forth. I wonder if there is something there that would help you? I really feel for you. Keep up your positive habits though.
Northern Maine is no picnic. So many days without sun. The wind and cold have been particularly bad this year. This means the spring will be even sweeter this year. I find looking at vivid shades of light green really help. Color therapy is great. Get some paints or whatever and have fun with color. Hugs!
I love night time, but I can’t imagine being in darkness for months. Looking forward to more videos! Keep those spirits up, Cecilia! Loved the bit of voiceover from Christoffer!
More Christoffer voice overs in the future! Stay strong, Cecilia. I am so amazed of you being such a positive person but I definitely believe how much not seeing light for an extended period of time would be physically and mentally draining. I would never be able to make it not seeing the sun for three months! P.S. i really don't mind Grim covering the whole camera 😂 he's just soo adorable.
I mean, top credit to you doing all those hiking down the mountain shots, fully knowing you have to climb back up to get the camera! That’s dedication to your art! I hope you start to feel more energised soon ❤️
Hi Cecilia - You are so positive and that helps you through it all, I am sure of that. My friends Judith and Tim have arrived at Longyearbyen today and are staying for 5 nights. They stay at Funken Lodge. It is so crazy because I could tell them a lot about Longyearbyen, the hotel and so many other things thanks to you. When I told them about you they thought that we were best friends!! They are together with a group and I am really looking forward to hearing about all the trips they are going on during their stay. I wish it was me. All the best to you and your wonderful Christoffer and Grim.
I'm ok thank you! 🧡 Just thought it would be a good idea to tell all sides of the polar night! :) As much as I love it, it also comes with days of feeling drained, especially at the very end of it 🧡
Thank you for discussing the winter blues. It is a real thing. But we do welcome the spring but still regret losing the rest & relax of the winter. Thank you Christoffer for showing how to make true back to basics applesauce! Remember this is the last stretch of downtime to read, do special projects and new ideas. We plan to revamp our gardens to no till. We love the contrast of the seasons. Winter makes me appreciate spring. And the rush of summer give us an appreciation of autumn and winter. And the cycle begins again💫❄️⛄️🌬☔️☀️⚡️🌾🍁🌨 Lovely✨
The view overlooking the village is amazing. Can't believe you did that on your own, and I'm glad you didn't run into any polar bears. The way you express your feelings about the long polar night is, oh, what's word(s), incredibly intimate. Please don't take that wrong, I'm not trying to pry or sound mushy. I guess it's more of a fatherly observation. Stay strong Cecilia, you and Christoffer both. Will be praying for you. Oh, and you really need a snow blower!
Thank you, our friend, for documenting everything that is beautiful with you. In truth, we lived a beautiful winter with you and discovered many things we did not know
You cope so well, as much as I love the Polar Nights/Winter it must take a toll on your mental and physical health. Biggest hugs, love watching you hike, you can see how much you love spending time alone with nature❤ Fantastic hearing Chris's voice over, his recipes are great! Xx
It's amazing how cosy the arctic can be. We don't get enough snow in British winters but I imagine the contrasting seasons make the weather feel exotic even for a local. I'd love a cabin out here. So cosy.
I empathize! I live in Minnesota, USA. The winter nights are long, day time highs plunge below zero… it’s rough on one’s spirit sometimes. And it is also an incredibly beautiful and wonderful season. I like your perspective on new beginnings and looking forward. Best wishes in this new year!
Watching your videos has inspired me to get out even when temps hit the single digits F. Yesterday was my birthday, a dreary overcast day, so I bought balloons and put them outside my apartment.
I love how motivated you are! After 2 yrs of craziness in the world (I am in US lower 48)... I feel the pain of lack of motivation. You have inspired me to get out, rebuild strength and endurance. Where I am, January has brought a LOT of rain and wet (river floods, king tides and tsunami warning)... per the weather outlook we should have partial blue skies soon for at least 10 days. The weather we have endured is not typical even for the Pacific northwest coast. Hope you get your routine back and regain energy.... I know the steep hill all too well from not having a routine.
It’s winter depression sweetheart. All that dark and no light. You will get through it. Just remember that there are people around you that love you. Your husband. Your dog.you are strong and can see this through. ❤️❤️🇬🇧
Thank you for all your hard work and keeping on pushing out the content Cecilia. We just had Blue Monday here in the UK, I cant begin to imagine how blue it must be with perpetual night. You're doing all the right things, be kind to yourself and thank you again, the sun will rise and shine again soon! x
You are such an inspiration to all of us! Your honesty and the beauty you see in your life. Thank you for sharing! Give Christoffer my best! Watching from Dallas, Texas
I spent three weeks in total darkness in Finnish Lapland. I was soo happy to see the sunset when I drove down to Estonia. Total darkness really throws off your body clock, I agree!
You are awesome with all that snow shoveling. Good workout. Thanks for being so open with how you are feeling now and your tips for staying up and ok. I struggle with January and February and I have daylight.
I can almost relate...here in upstate NY, we go to work in the dark, come home in the dark..day after day for about 3 months. Today we were like yippie Skippy, the sun sets at 5:03. Felt like a small milestone having the sun set after 5 (finally). There is a light at the end of the tunnel. Every day, sunlight lasting longer and closer to spring! Hang in there.
I know that I would miss the sun way too much so I can only imagine what you might be feeling. Every morning when I walk with my dogs, I listen to some music for part of the walk, as this just boost my energy levels for the day, especially when its really cold or I haven’t slept well!!!!
Cecilia keep going. You can already see a teeny tiny bit of difference between the sky and the mountains in the Webcams of Longyearbyen at noon. Greetings from Germany. Anja

@cecilia I live in Wales UK and we going through longer nights and shorter days. I cant imagine not having any daylight. I thought ours was bad enough. I wake up and its dark I leave work and it's dark but the days are slowly getting longer. But you do see the pretty northern lights! I saw them once when I went to Iceland breathtaking. Take care of yourself. Live watching your videos.
When I moved from the tropics to Canada (southern) I wasn't worried about the longish nights in the winter, I am a night person I thought... The winter nights are long here but it doesn't come close to what you're experiencing. And while it was fun at first, I do feel winter fatigue now once in a while. Energy is lacking and I often feel like just lazing around. I often tell my wife how much I lookup to your mental fortitude to live in such conditions and still find the joy. I tell her, one day I want to move to Svalbard and it's all because of the beauty you capture so well. We love your videos. I hope you feel better. The Sun will shine through soon enough and all will be well. Thank you for your amazing videos. Lots of ❤!
Thank you for being so candid with us, Cecilia! I discovered your channel last month and am completely enchanted by your corner of the world. I hope you are able to find some reprieve - you are not alone in your feelings ❤
I struggle in Scotland with waking up in darkness working all day from home as I work remote and then when I finish it’s completely dark outside. I started taking high strength vitamin D and eating more apples/ oranges etc. You’ve got this 💪 and if you don’t, we’ve got your back 😊 would love for you to do a video on tales of Norway and stories that have been passed down generations for example in Scotland we have the Loch Ness monster xx
I'm in Scotland too - if you work from home can't you be a bit flexible and take an hour off at lunchtime and go outside (I presume you're allowed a lunch break)? Even in our dull January days only 20 minutes outside with your face and hands exposed will top up your vit D levels - tho a supplement isn't a bad thing. I just take a multivitamin each day (which contains vit D) in the Winter. If you really can't go outside at least you can sit by a window.

I deal with depression all winter. It gets pretty bad even with the sun. I'm in Wisconsin USA. Your sun will appear sooner than you think. Keep your chin up, sweetie! ♥️
Can not imagine that much darkness for that long (I live in Florida, left New England because of the endless gray days in winter). You have always had a plan don't let work take over. Priority one is you. I think the word your looking for is translucent for your skin. Light is coming ❤
You knocked another one out of the park! Fantastic self-veal’s about the physical depletion of vitamin D and light, and loved your comments about working out for strength!!
I can truly sympathize. While my 2 years in Iceland were not as severe, the darkness got to be very hard to deal with in January and February. Take care of yourself!!
The only TH-cam channel that I folllow religiously! Just love it, you’re sincerely kind and give us this sense of calm and warm feelings. Thank you, it really makes me happy. Love from Portugal 💛
Thank you so much for this window of honesty. Cannot even imagine the struggle. I guess it's time for me to stop complaining about the sun setting at 4:30PM :/ :) Way to go for staying motivated and striving for being healthy and strong!
Hi Cecilia. Think I would find the constant darkness very tough. Was in N. Norway a couple of years ago in the winter and daylight was limited but available. I live in the North of England and even as far south as we are in comparison to you the darkness particularly after Christmas and New Year grinds a bit. Today we had unbroken sunshine all day, 8-9 hours, but sub zero temperatures. We got the recliners out, put the thermals on and sat out with your favourite beverage just basking in the light, and warmth, provided by the low lying golden orb. I think our two mutts enjoyed it as much as we did. Anyway got to say these two pensioners really enjoy what you put together for youtube and always look forward to the next episode chronicling your out of the ordinary lifestyle. Stay well.
I watch quite a few landscape photographers, and so all I could think during the opening of this video is the fact that you had to climb and go down at least twice in order to get the video footage. I respect your dedication, especially on those really steep parts! I'm glad that you're honest about the long dark stretches taking their toll, because I imagine that no matter how much you love it and are used to it, it's still HARD.
Uh oh, was Grim in a time-out for chasing a fox? Seeing you yell after him is every dog owner's experience, been there! This video was so raw, thank you. I never want winter to end but I have the benefit of at least 9 hours of daylight in December, I'm fascinated by the polar night. Before you know it the light will come back and soon you'll have to bathe in sunscreen once again.
As a Canadian, I feel your sentiments so much. Always looking forward to a new season. I love winter, but by March I am ready. I always say February is the longest shortest month. We get heavy snow, ice, wind. I saw in another video you would like to I come here, you both would love it!! Sending much love from 🇨🇦.
The town bright with lights at the beginning of the video looks so beautiful. Fenris and Grim are gorgeous. Glad to hear they are getting along. It was such a pleasant surprise hearing Christoffer on voice over. Love your videos! Wishing you all well from California 🇺🇸
You are an absolute breath of fresh air to watch.Your positivity is enchanting. We must all remind ourselves to be cheerful because that encourages others. It really does. I think that there is always something good and something not so good going on with the weather all the time. Really doesn’t matter where you live , we are all effected by the length of daylight and dark. The number on the thermometer effects us. The barometric pressure effects us, the humidity, the wind. It all effects us in many ways. Weather is so important to all of us that we read weather reports constantly! A huge topic of conversation is the weather. You demonstrate the right attitude by getting out of the house and being so physically active you make your mind clear and your body tired. This is good. Thank you for all your encouragements to us.
Cecilia, your strength emanates in every video. You’re a talented videographer, and my blood pressure drops to total relax mode when watching your updates of such an amazing place. Push through this polar night patch with your strength, you’re doing great. (More cooking/everyday life events with Chris, too - I’m now craving some home cooked applesauce!)>

Cyanide itself is a rapidly acting, potentially deadly chemical that kills by preventing cells in the body from using oxygen, according to the CDC.
do you ever worry about bears when your out at night?
Welcome Christopher!!!! Wonderful to hear and see you!
I am so envy of you, Cecilia Blomhdal. I really hate the sun !! To me the best life you can possible have is to never ever wacth the sun !! Been in absolutely dark, will be the best life ever !!
Eat salmon. They good in vitamin D.
"To avoid feeling trapped in the darkness, I head out *into* the darkness." Beautifully put and applies to so much more than physical darkness.
It's ilke saying to avoid alcohol consumption I head out drinking in the bar
Yeah, beautifully put. I also liked her blanket metaphor in the beginning.

Christopher’s voiceover was so cute! Does the polar night seem to affect Grim? Hang in their Cecilia, you’re so strong!💜
I loved it too!! I just can’t get enough of this beautiful couple living such a simple and beautiful life.
Cecilia has so much sunshine in her for someone that lives in the darkness.
LOVE the Christoffer segment and voice over. It’s been fun seeing him get more comfortable in front of the camera recently.
Especially "While Cecilia does the sweaty work, I stay inside and make apple mus." Adorable. 😂
@@rachelpeham3508 hmmm - he needs to get outside and sweat a bit, not a healthy looking young man.
@@sallyannc3176 don't be rude, you can see in other videos that he does a lot of work around the house as well. as for you, you need to get outside and gain some perspective and stop judging strangers like that
@@spookeymo I get outside a lot - as a health care professional I'm not 'judging' but being honest. It's a real snowflake thing to avoid the honest truth - obesity is a real danger to people's health.

Thank you Cecilia for sharing this with us ; you always seem so positive and joyful that it’s hard to tell that you’re struggling with something. I had to laugh when Grim "shamed the family" by chasing a fox! Your editing of a single bark, followed by a loud "Grim!", the truck starting, then the reappearance of the truck and a very happy puppy was absolutely hilarious. ( I watched it twice. 😁😁😁)
I, too, have enjoyed Christoffer... "Cecelia does the sweaty work."
Thank you for sharing your lives in Svalbard!
Love from Las Vegas!!❤❤❤
While I don’t live in the arctic, I feel the same about January. The cold is cozy and warm during the holidays but January’s dark dreary weather is crushing.
YUP. And February.
@@ThePricipleOfParsimonyFebruary is the worst, just dragging.
I also wondered watching the video if this would help Cecilia !! Would be great of course.
I use one! When I moved to the northeast US, dark winters made me very down and tired so I have started using the Verilux and supplementing with Vit D as part of getting through the dark times in a healthier way.
Look into blue light blockers to reduce white/blue light which should help with eye strain of being under artificial light
@@minimalistserendipity4744 Blue light also makes you feel more awake so avoiding it might be counterproductive

Same...🙏🏽
I also can not imagine going so so long without daylight.
I love Christopher! Such a calm reassuring soul. More of him please!🙂

When I’m feeling sad I listen to the Psalms on my Bible App. Praying for you though this polar night “sad”.

Think of it like a seed that is in the ground. It has to endure the dark, the cold, the quiet for the life that is going to come forth in the spring. Winter is a time for reflection and inner preparation. 😌 Life returns! ☀️🥰🎶
That's so beatiful, thank you. ❤

Hugs!

Love the way you say "January" bummer is peak of the doldrums of no sunlight! Say hey to your boys and keep on smiling!
Each season has it's own different kind of magic. I hope you're well. I love you guys! Give Grim extra snuggles for me!
Seeing this video makes me realize how blessed we are in this part of our world to be able to wake up daily with the welcoming morning sun everyday.
Watching your videos has inspired me to get out even when temps hit the single digits F. Yesterday was my birthday, a dreary overcast day, so I bought balloons and put them outside my apartment.
So good to hear Christoffer speaking in a video, you are such a fantastic couple..and I'm hooked on you, and the music you choose!
You're doing all the right things, be kind to yourself and thank you again, the sun will rise and shine again soon! x
I LOVED this video! Hang in there. The light is coming.
Every morning when I walk with my dogs, I listen to some music for part of the walk, as this just boost my energy levels for the day, especially when its really cold or I haven’t slept well!!!!
loved hearing Christopher tell us you like to do the sweaty work!

I can’t imagine the pure joy and excitement you all have when the sun starts to glimpse it’s way back into your world!
I'm here in Longyearbyen right now. Two days and I'm missing the daylight, and I'll be here for another week. Also, I can't believe how warm it is.
Yes another video! Something to light up my covid sick days.
Missed you!So glad you posted. Hang in there 🤗🤗

💗❤️💌💘
I deal with depression all winter. It gets pretty bad even with the sun. I'm in Wisconsin USA.
Your sun will appear sooner than you think. Keep your chin up, sweetie! ♥️
Thank you for this video, it’s so important to talk about our highs and also our lows. I hope you feel better soon!
I'm absolutely in love with Grimm! Such a very cool puppy! Please take good care of him - OK Please?
Can not imagine that much darkness for that long (I live in Florida, left New England because of the endless gray days in winter). You have always had a plan don't let work take over. Priority one is you. I think the word your looking for is translucent for your skin. Light is coming ❤
Same here. No more NE winters.
Stay well.
oh sweet Grim 😍 and I hope you’re feeling better always think that the sun will soon come
It's normal to feel this way..it doesn't get to cold in Texas but I'm ready for summer..Hang in there friend..
I love new beginnings as well!! Thank you both so much for sharing your unique and beautiful life with us. ❤
I hear you. As a boy in the 50 - 60 in a small farming community, fishing , hunting with dog for hours all alone.
