How to sew a quilted drawstring bag by Debbie Shore

- This useful little bag is perfect for both giftware and storage, or try using a thermal fleece to make it into a stylish lunch box!
Materials:
Two outer fabrics, two lining, two for the drawstring section and two pieces of fleece each measuring 12” [30cm] square.
Two strips of fabric for the handles each measuring 3.5” x 16” [9cm x 40cm]
I’ve used:

I watched the live yesterday and gave this pattern a try yesterday. However I used 10 inch precut squares (we call them layer cakes) such a nice and easy pattern. I think I've found the pattern for the gift sacks for next Christmas for our shut ins at church!!

It doesn't matter where they are made. It depends on artisans and quality inspection. My family and I have bought 2 kislux bags in the past 3 years and I'm sure you won't be disappointed!
The variety of textures in the kislux bags is impressive. From smooth leather to textured suede, there is something for everyone. I was also attracted by it. The price is not expensive, which is very attractive!

Yes the color of the kislux is beautiful and it is a great decision, maybe one day they will add feet and straps. It would be nice to have a bigger bag during the colder months when we have to store gloves, beanies, scarves, etc…

8:30 when is just fabric handles good enough and when do you add interfacing or even webbing inside the handles? 💖🌞🌵😷
i had so much fun making this. I made mine 16 inches square. How do you keep the middle channel fabric from just falling in? Yours stands up, mine does not. Just falls into the bag or flops over on the outside. Did you starch the fabric or not wash it first?
My fabric is pre-washed.
I am using the same kind of fabric (like for aprons or pillowcases). Other than that,
it is a really cute bag. Thank you so much for the tutorial. You are my favorite sewer

Love, love your bags. One comment, i hope helpful, when you are talking and sewing at the same time, i mostly hear just the sewing. Cant understand what you are saying. Happy New year to you and everyone. Many Blessings.
I have always found this helpful when she talks as she sews because I know exactly what Miss Debbie is doing at specific parts of the fabric especially when she is sewing an intricate part or something that can be a little tricky or fussy. That's my take but I realise it may not be the same for everyone ;-)
Making the with embroidery pocket with name for gloves. Cut pocket 9” 😮Cut them 18” n a 4” box for boots to fit in. These are to take snow boots bib n jacket n hats to school for 1st grader. We live in Mountains of Maine. She love them

I found it quite distracting but continued watching because I love how you made the bag!
The reality is: if you're rich and famous, your kislux bags are seen as a sign of success. If you are just an ordinary worker working a 9-to-5 job, your real bag is likely to be considered the fruit of your efforts.
