Got my Jig square and sled kit from KM Tools about three months back.. Finally got around to getting it assembled.. Holy Shite! first run 5-Cut run out was 0.003 or 1/256" adjustment required. Naw.. I'm good.. That is fabulous! Thanks KM Tools!!!! This is an absolutely revolutionary tool. Well done Sir.

So buying these premium tools gives me more time to build what I need now, rather than expending, time and experimentation to create a tool. $130 is quite expensive for a tool that will sit in a drawer for 99.9% of its life and has very limited use cases.

brilliant Idea!! I'm in the process of making a 6' sled with a aluminum back fence. I want to make accurate corners for steamer chest. What I've come up with is using all thread on each end. One side achord the other floating until I get the back exactly perpendicular to the saw blade then I will anchor the back fence to the base of the sled. I can make slight adjustments to the nuts on the all thread to dial the back fence to the saw blade. This is the second one. the first sled was a test to make sure it stayed square.

Purchased when I saw it in my email before I even watched the video. I’m one of those who has put off making a cross-cut sled for the very reason of the five cut method. Been using my Incra 5000 (which is great, don’t get me wrong), but there a times when a cross-cut sled would come in clutch. Thanks, JKM!

How was this not figured out 100 years ago. LOL. This is so simple but obviously seeing some well thought engineering. Nicely done!!!!

Wonderful tool! If I had the money I’d buy one immediately. So many potential uses for this. Can’t wait to see how everyone uses it. Thanks for your ingenuity.

Just put an order in for the whole kit it’s gonna be worth the wait! This is the second thing I bought from you, the first being the universal trim router jig and bench top router table and they’ve been the most useful tools I’ve used in my wood working and I’m excited to FINALLY have a crosscut sled that I know is square. Not to mention having an easier way to square up the fence to my miter saw. Hope I can find other uses for it too like you guys.

Question: What size base do you suggest for your crosscut sled? Thanks 😊

First of all, I'm completely sold! I've fiddled with my sled by putting shims at one end of the piece to be cut and I've repositioned the screw which holds the back fence when I pivot the fence to square it up. I"m giving myself a sled kit and Jig Square for my birthday. One thing: When you tell us your website, it sounds like, "KAM" instead of "kay em". The website on the screen set me straight.

Using Jonathan's kit (without the jig square) my first attempt using the five-step method gave me a final measurement of .0059"! I had to do it twice to be sure and it came out the same both times. Pure luck, but I think the quality of the Baltic birch fence in the kit is what made the overall squareness come out as it did. I'm take heart now knowing I can make cross cuts with full confidence that they are square.
