Seriously impressed with your genuine passion for all things fast! Diesel, V8, 6, 4 and Rotor. True Enthusiasts! Kinda spewing they didnt take you out in a 20B as Pac builds the best old school RXs in Australia, possibly the world. Cleetus no ride? whats wrong mate? you missed out!
As a sydney sider who's seen your cars since I was reading Hot 4's in year 7 it's awesome to "meet" the man behind it all.
Fantastic shop and work mate you're a national treasure in my book.
Not to mention it's a family business and that your son's just as keen as you are, world class mate.
Your shop? :) Unfortunately none of our street 20B's were on hand on the day but the 1320 boys all felt the power of the mighty 13b including Cleetus. They had a ball.
I love that it's not all only American V8's you do any more. Seeing other stuff is good, and can broaden people's mind
Yea they're definitely cool. They don't make them anymore because they have a lot of problems. New technology may change that but they aren't practical like piston engines are.
Turd, it wasnt just because of problems, but all these new enviroment laws did put a stop to most of it. Or it had atleast a big part of it.
emission laws was the main if not only reason they are not in production well the emission laws plus sales numbers compared to traditional engines sales where not high enough to warrant the high r&d cost to meet new laws
Not only are the cars nice, the shop is clean and kept up. And I agree, living in the States it's mostly V8 here for drag racing. And I love seeing cars with a bigger turbo than an engine.

I used to be a casual watcher of your videos but ever since you started doing detailed episodes on Australian cars, events and shops I have gotten more interested. Then there's the much broader variety of engine/vehicle types you focus each video on which has made me a subscriber now. Even though I have a LS powered HSV I really enjoy watching the videos on other engine types.
Keep up the great work and keep showing us all different cars and events from all over the world. It is very interesting to see how other countries go about building cars with what resources they have and what their customers request.
If you get the opportunity please do a video on some of those workshops I have heard about in America that do conversions on older cars to make them into EV's, I think that would be a cool topic to cover.

MeBoostaS30z if we could get away with pro mods on the street I'm sure we would. Our fastest genuine street car runs 7.4 on 275 radials and it's full steel and glass which drives 100's of miles to race.
+GRPABT1 Who's that? Terry Seng's (Paramount Performance) turbo LSX VC Commodore??? That thing's a beast... Quintin Feast's Pink Torana will be hot on Terry's heels soon I reckon. There's a lot of guys who drive cars that used to be semi- legal and rego'd that have morphed into wild rides over the years that still get street driven. Tristan Ockers' "MINCER" is a classic example. I can't believe that up until last year he used to drive that on the street still! It runs deep into the 6's, what a mad cunt. How he didn't get defected and EPA'd I don't know :)

MeBoostaS30z Australia have very strict rules on car modifications the promods or outlaw class in America would never be legal to daily street drive in Australia. But in America you guys don't have these restrictions like Australia. Hence a few Australians have built there V8 Monsters ship them to the US participat in drag week just to have that street driving experience with out the cop's impounding your ride because of modifications restrictions. You guys in America have it Good when it comes to modified street cars
We have some silly automotive laws here, for instance blow off valve, pod filter, both illegal.
The sound of the Rotary brings me back to my trips to Florida in my Moms RX7 when I was a Kid.. I cant Get the Sound out of my head.. 38 now and I still want a 4 Roter.. LOL
They should definitely take a trip to Puerto Rico! Car scene over there is pretty legit. Also a lot of different motor swaps and rotary masters over there

Bought my first Rotary in 1968. Second one in 1972. Loved them, filled up on aviation fuel, paraffin and other fuels. It would run on anything. Always was a fan of the rotary. Glad to see you dedicating yourself to this motor. Imagine a custom lightweight racer with this motor! Hope to do it one day.

one of your best videos by far. the rotary is so understated in the us. I know of a couple in the us like Rick stiles in El paso who put rotarys on the map shifting at 16,000 rpm. thanks for doing this video!

This is informative because I don't know shit about Rotaries
Engineering explained videos are mostly fine to learn some basics on a variety of stuff but his video on rotaries titled 'why the rotary is dead' is nothing short of a joke, he adds so much BS in that one all it does is spread more untrue BS about the rotary engine, his other vids on the rotary engine are ok to learn some basics but just avoid that one hey, the rotary engine is a masterpiece of Japanese engineering proving itself time & time again since the early 70's for both performance & reliability in many forms of racing & on the street, also i'd like to add that the crap you hear about apex seals is only true of the rotary in the 60's when they were still developing the engine, in 1970 when the R100 came out the apex seal problem was a thing of the past the only reliability problems that they had since was the reliability of dumb shit owners that couldn't follow through with the basic upkeep running them without oil & coolant etc

Yeah beautiful rotary powered cars, but I've seen pretty good competition here in Puerto Rico n in new Jersey as well there's lots of underground rotary shops in New Jersey u'll be very surprised...but I'll give me their props they do got nice cars

I have a ported nitrous 12a rotary laying around. I am going to completely overhaul it with all new seals and everything! I personally like the sound of the 12a better. It is much deeper, but the 13b is overall a better engine
We need to really pay attention to these cars because I truly feel that they are the future power machines. Beautiful cars

you need to come to Puerto Rico. What you see there in Australia begins in Puerto Rico a long time ago in a Airport track at Tortuguero Aguadilla Puerto Rico back at the 1970's. My dad goes every weekend to run and the street races.

Its an awesome time. Weather is usually perfect at that time of the year(it rained last year but has been perfect every other year). We had 402 rotary powered vehicles entered this weekend which set a record for this sort of event in NZ. You should do it!!!!

I worked at a ford/Mazda dealer and there was a guy on the Mazda dude that did rotary engines on RX-8’s all day everyday. Guess they had an issue with the rotor tips I think. They were fun cars to drive though. Haven’t had the pleasure to drive a 7 or even something lighter, but I’d imagine it would be a blast. Too cool.

I’m not big on Rockville , BUT I sat in a guys truck last year with Rockville mids and I gotta say I was really impressed how loud and clear they were!

I ran Mazda RX-2, RX-3, RX-4 and RX-5s from 1981 to 1990 and got out because of the noise. This was before you saw many turbos on them..........which are good mufflers. Some really sweet cars in this video.

Love me some Rotary's !!! One of the fastest cars I remember in the San Fernando Valley street race scene from 1985-1989 was a grey primer RX-3 on nitrous ........easy low 10 second car........mind you, this was the late 1980's......very fast for that day
