We’ve gone to Sweden to film the intense street racing scene they hold for a few years. We are just now releasing this footage from 2016 due to some complications in Sweden. These racers give no f*cks! Hundreds of spectators pour onto the highways to watch AND continuing to race while police are present attempting to stop the chaos. These racers aren't in it for the money, they're in it for the bragging rights and glory of winning the most INSANE street race in the world - The STOCKHOLM OPEN.
Disclaimer: In this video, we do not show many of the police encounters we had during our time in Sweden due to all the complications.

Takes '57 promod to street race.. To me the blue Audi is the real winner. All street, no tube chassis and no carbon fiber body.

Many were all out race cars. When its run what you brung just make sure it's enough. Awd is an advantage in itself anyway.

Uhm.. they do that on drag race tracks too. They want to stay in the sticky track they just laid, so the guy running after the car will then help the driver stay on track while reversing.

It had a Pro Mod chassis yes- but there was nothing special about the single carb, single kit big block. There were other guys there making A LOT more power than him. He would have had a weight advantage over most of them.... I was hoping the Kaddett was gonna give it to him
I think street cars should have a VIN, but the promod still drove around itself.

They are plentyful, the older ones are RWD and the engines respond well to boost. Maby of them are turboed from the factory. They are heavy tho, and they look terrible but what can you do.
@@placeholdername3206 older volvos are not as heavy as you think. My volvo wagon weighed ~3200 factory. Weighs 2650 now.

Bloody hell, that Audi against a promod with probably over twice the amount of power, powerglide transmission and huge drag radials, yet it almost still won. Those AWD Audis are not to be messed with

Stupid to allow a tube frame race care with fiberglass body and no hood to run in a street race. The Kadet and Audi and that S2 were the real winners.

Stock cars, unexperienced drivers...
There is few guys that has seriously built cars, but they only show up on competitions.
Poland is mostly grassroot drifting/drifting and a lot of people drive thief slammed e36's e38's or miatas in night on streets
Biggest and the only one event in Poland about grassroot drifting is NEXT LEVEL The Event

@@danielbrealey2924 since you dont know shit. it was a silicone water cap for the stock heater core blockoff that broke. not a rotary part. no problems with the engine. the same engine a year after made hell of a lot more power without being tore down.

@CalypsoNotch408 thats a pro mod ? thats a full fiberglass body extended fiberglass front end and not close to factory body at all and because there are people that have cool and interesting cars like that twin turbo kadett that shouldve won unlike this guy who just had a whole bunch of money and no original ideas because it was actually creative and not just a 1500 pound fake ass body car with a racecar frame under it the radials where bigger than the entire rear end of the other car its like comparing a stock camaro ss vs a dodge demon and saying "why not"

Actually atoms do basically every form of motorsport there is: Autocross, rallycross, drifting, etc, etc. When you look at their acceleration nothing else comes close

To block followers. Sometimes to block the police. They have very often no license plates etc.
And to guide te driver, a lot of them are not from stockholm and need to find the way to a good hidingspot.

How they get away with such a massive event, year after year, on real public roads, as opposed the stuff we are fed on Discovery, is the biggest mystery!
Because the Swedish legal system is a joke. Even if the people blocking the roads get caught, all they get is a "sharp warning". Racers know it, the crowd know it and the police know it ... the police just make sure the racers know they're around to protect the general public.

Good looking Plymouth Valiant. I used to have a 67 valiant with a cuda 340 that was super fun and to me looked as good as a road runner, maybe better. It was only 2,650 lbs.
