I love how Arcsys has made it easier to get into fighting games for casuals. Fighterz was the game that got us playing and learning fighting games on a deeper level. This is gonna be my first Guilty Gear and I’m stoked

Yes and no. Xrd has terrible netcode however Guilty Gear XX Accent Core +R for like $5 on steam has a bunch of players because it recently got a fantastic netcode update and some excellent replay features where you can watch a replay of your match against someone else, and then jump in at any point and take control of your character to see how you could have played those few seconds differently. It’s great for learning how to fight against a character you don’t play. You’re right usually it’s two games of a series that are being played but it varies from series to series. I.e. SFV and SF3: third strike (not really sf4); GG strive and GG XX AC+R, , etc.

I am so happy for Daisuke and his team that this is doing so well that even the most famous of all time Duckey has graced us with this review. I've been playing this series since 04' and finding people to play with has always been a struggle in those days.
Strive has done really well bringing in new players to the genre, i've been playing GG for years but the tutorial missions really helped me understand some stuff better. Even so the game is made in a way that you can have fun if you're a casual or an enthusiast in fighting games which is really impressive.
Shout out to the Guilty Gear team for trying to make sense of the story, I'm pretty sure the Kingdom Hearts writers have just given up at this point and hope people forgot the story like they did

Guilty gear is actually ripping off the videogame Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze because they both feature penguins at some point. You should be reviewing Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze because the weapons in Guilty Gear: Strive are almost but not as large as the levels in Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze. Clearly the better and more advanced fighting game.
As someone completely new to fighting games that bought Strive because of this, if this video makes you want to pick up Strive, just motherfuckin do it. It's such a fun game.

You should be reviewing Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze because the weapons in Guilty Gear: Strive are almost but not as large as the levels in Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze. Clearly the better and more advanced fighting game.

You should really check the series if you're interested, it's underrated. The previous games are cheaper and are even wackier (although they are less friendly to new players)
