Interesting We start our day with curriculum and go where that topic takes us. I have to make time for appointments so I never considered it as unschooling.

I have unschooled since they were born, tried homeschooling here and there but never sticks and never last more than a few days. My kids don't have huge interests, my girls,13 and 9 like to play barbies all day and my son sleeps all day and stays up all night....My youngest can't read yet, although she is starting to read and spell 3 letter words...My son started reading on his own when he was around 2ish, and my middle child was reading at 7 or 8...I always wonder if I am doing unschooling right...

Unschooling comes down to personalities - yours and your children. They are going to learn in different ways. Reading at 7 or 8 on their own is great. If your children aren't progressing in their reading or you don't feel like they are learning, then it is always good to reevaluate. Are any of us really doing it right? That is a good question. You just keep trying and moving forward.
