One of my fav bands at 1992 \,,/ James Murphy's solos are great as they were in Obituary - Cause of death. This is absolutely one of the most underrated band in Death Metal band 4ever.
Seen Cancer, back in my teens, Live not long after the release of 'Death Shall Rise'. Got all their signatures except the drummer's. Brilliant Live band back in the day.
This is the definition a low-budget music video!! I can relate though, in 1998/99 I used to put on 'after-school metal shows' in my parent's barn out here in my old small town Illinois (back in high school -ha). For many of the people who showed up...it was probably the first time they got to see blastbeats and a double-kick drum set!!
haha You all look so young. Were very proud of you guys from Shropshire. Carl is a great friend and a great drummer. And all power to them starting up again and touring all over the world. Shropshire Death metal \m/
i bought this promo vhs off of the band when i got to see them back then with Unleashed, they also played Bournemouth and the singer/guitarist was rocking a Fields of the Nephilim shirt, don't know what i had for dinner last night but i remember that from 30 years ago

Really awesome to see something filmed in such a raw manner, especially from a band like this, I can only imagine what a Death video with Sean Reinert would be like. Human came out the same year which is kind of hard to believe, not that I was there.
ben and nate Just so you know: I wasn't suggesting that it was why solely you would laugh at this genre of music. More that many people who have laughed and taken the piss - often born of ignorance - at 'smelly music', tended to be from the casuals scene. At least back in the 80s and 90s.

Fuck! I never knew there was a promo clip for this. By the looks of it, no expense was spared in making it too. It must have cost at least £50 to rent some farmer's cow shed for an hour. lol I saw this line up in Edinburgh at The Venue. My ears were ringing for three whole days after it :] Great days, indeed!
It was a farm shed not far from where we live. I know all of cancer, they are from same town. Back in the day they were all skint and had virtually no budget, hense the weird and wonderful video!
I keep thinking Caroline Ingalls is going to come up to the loft with some bread & beef stew for the fellas. And maybe Charles will do a ditty on the fiddle!! LOVE this band🤘🏻
Thats probably because as vocalists go deeper and deeper with their voices their own accent and voice is less audible in the vocals, so lots of death metal vocalists sound very similar to each other, but each person have different vocal tone, so the difference might be big or just slight.

Jeff Walker from Carcass as well.

Cancer - Back From the Dead (1991)
Slowly injecting the fluid of pain
Bringing the corpse back to life
Nerves now awake violently
The serum now has worked
Inject to the brain, going insane
Body pulsatin, back from the dead
Death's awakening, stage by stage
Including the pain, back from the dead
Under the knife, bring back to life
Bad mistake, back from the dead
Seen now what's done, his death's begun
The dead have won, back from the dead
Reaching to kill, creator of life
Ejecting the unwanted reprise, br> Going insane and out of control
Defy the fate of sience
Because the fluid took effect
The corpse will rise
Trying to cheat on nature
He's going to die
Slowly injecting the fluid of pain
Bringing the corpse back to life
Try to create something to love
Perfectly formed in his eyes

Probably because of typical 'casuals' narrow-minded, stereotypical way of thinking.
