- This was a very scenic walk along the coastal path and cliffs with beautiful views of the river Ure ,Solway firth, and nearby islands. We made our way down to Kippford to the start of the walk heading through the village and and onwards to Rough island viewpoint then it was on our way to Rockcliffe we met Jim of Jim's coastal path walk around the UK a fellow TH-camr who interviewed us about our walk then it was on our way again on the coastal path over the cliffs to Sandyhill's the cliff scenery was quite dramatic and the sea views where stunning as we wound our way up over and around the cliffs followed by a short tarmac section into Sandyhill's the end of our walk.
Distance walked was approx 8 miles.

Such a beautiful coastline. Very peaceful. One of my favourite places I visit at least 2/3 times a year. Great video 😊
Thanks for your positive comments enjoy your holiday👍

Excellent thank you so much
Thanks for watching its a lovely area for walking .
Thanks so much. Really good video of a walk that we are planning to undertake tomorrow. Our last day staying in the beautiful village of Kippford so we want it to be special. This walk looks just right!
Enjoy it offers superb views over the Solway firth
Had many great holidays in Kippford with our Labrador, sadly we lost her at the beginning of this month. Did this coastal walk, Carlingwalk Loch, Threave Castle and Gardens, Dalbeattie Forest to Colvend, Kirkcudbright River Don walk, many times. Felt like we were doing it again watching this, great video.
Many thanks for the warm comments , yes its a wonderful area for walking in so diverse We only wish we could have stayed longer but we will be back the forest walks are really lovely at this time of year with carpets of bluebells all around thanks for watching
What pretty little villages and bluebells. I never knew about the islands in the Solway Firth. Stunning views from the coastal path. You're having great weather Bill. 🏴
Thanks lorna was a super day for our walk, we had intended to visit Rough island on the day as there is a causeway across to it at low tide but didn't realise till we got there that it was closed due to ground-nesting birds breeding. Hestan island is a likely candidate for our next visit.👍🏴
