It's really nice. That is has an oven. Kitchen area is nice. Rather one sink though. No double. Color pallette is nice. Except the color of the bathroom door. I like bright. TV is in a bad spot. But doable. Bedroom is tight, but functional. It's a very good looking model, cozy looking.
At the price, you can afford to replace the toilet. That looked like a prime pooping position. The bed is the worst part. But it’s an exceptional RV given the size AND PRICE. Yeah, the TV position is a bummer, too.
Good review and during the video, I jumped over to Jayco's site and my jaw dropped. For 2023, please review the same 28' 8" Redhawk (or Odyssey) 26M. It may resolve some issues noted with the 26XD and a first in the class at this size. Enough said. Now about the 26XD. The bed is a deal killer for me for three reasons - folding, slide extends on camping side, and size. Residential queens are 60x80 that some RV's have, but most have the RV Queen 60x76, 75, or 74. For some unknow reason, Jayco and Entegra stand alone in the industry shorting the queen on most models to 60x70 (or 5'10"). That is just too short!. While the plastic toilet can be swapped out with porcelain - and possibly upgraded to ADA chair height - expanding the bed length with a new mattress typically is not possible. The 26M does resolve that mattress issue and possibly the TV placement issue in the same size coach.
This was one of the first RV's I was interested in. I found a good deal on one of these almost two years ago, 1 year old/used, but passed on it because it didn't have an external TV. Dislikes: twisty storage door locks, no external tv, window where headboard should be, tv position, difficult to walk around bed, fake shower door is a deal breaker. Likes: CCC!, e450, external color/paint, theater seats (like mine). Tks for sales price.
First, I must say, Andrea has the prettiest dresses! Now, the RV, the fold up bed is a deal breaker for me. But, I do like the spacious living space with the slides out and the lighter colors. Like Matt, I appreciate the E-450 also.
@@TheMuirite , I agree. I've been looking at the smaller Class C RV's and didn't particularly care for the corner bed. But now that I'm seeing the folded bed as the alternative, I realized that I would rather have one with a corner bed that was available all the time.
I like Jayco products. I like that they used the 450 and not the 350 chassis. Having owned a 28’ on a 450, it made a difference. I also like the suspension and the ccw. Very nice . Lots of value in this coach, but there are a few deal breakers. The bed. I can’t do it TV placement: I don’t have a better suggestion for this layout but NO ONE gets a decent few without a neck cramp. With this ccw- give us porcelain!!! Thank you again for another good video.
Great review! My likes are the theater seats. The size of the Rv and colors inside. I also like the dinette. Don’t like the tv placement, the bed, the toilet not being porcelain. Thank you Matt and Andrea for showing this Rv.
Possibly a weird question (I'm sorry if it's been asked before): can you purchase a class c without a bathroom? We're planning to stay at RV campgrounds, which have bathrooms, so we're wondering if any class c's are made without bathrooms? Is it weird to want an rv without a bathroom?
One of the best floor plans I’ve seen. I would love to see a “real” queen size Murphy bed in the back, with a sofa when folded up. We don’t poop in the RV, and plastic isn’t a problem to me. It’s lighter and not as cold as porcelain for those of us who remain seated. Great review, love your videos ❤️
Very nice class C motorhome and would be a strong contender for when my wife and I purchase our motorhome. I like most everything about it and what we are looking for. However, I'm 6'6" tall and that bed is only 70" long. 100% a deal breaker for me. 😞
I agree about the sink it could be a single basin …so I have room for food prep coffee pot and crockpot …also if they split the bath could the bed be north to south maybe 🤔… and also … Andrea you look so pretty in that dress 🥰 ❤️from TX
I would really like ALL RV sinks to have covers and slot storage, the valances are a no go, and all accordions should be pocket doors. I'm not fond of any theater/recliner seats - I would rather have a jack knife sofa for additional sleeping. Everything else is 👍
everytime I see those fold up beds I think to myself that I'd cut that piece off and sew velcro to it, and if I needed a nap on the road I'd just take it off ( I'm 5'2 )
the plastic toilet is funny because a long time ago (maybe 1990-2000) mom & dad were retired full time RV'ers, and about every other year were trading up with holiday ramblers until they got to the top model. I would always laugh at the plastic toilets in some of the new ones (why spend $150-200,000 and get a plastic toilet), but finally their last two units had porcelain. Mom made sure to point it out to me and smiled. Give me porcelain or give me death! I got the T ordered ha.
Andrea..way to go...the valances are hideous. Thank you for sticking to your guns! I love the windows in the bedroom. I'm a fan of the tee-shirts, yet in a F450 there should be a porcelain toilet, not plastic (unless they couldn't get them).
Not a bad unit. The mouse peeking out of the rim, was a surprise. I don't like the valances either. I tried the promo code.. MATTSRVREVIEWSNOSPACES I don't think it works. Bathroom kinda tight. But, overall... Not too bad. Great review guys. btw..... There was no mouse....lol.
Can not get used to seeing you guys at the dealership I go visit all the time lol. Tell them to get some Thor class B's please. I have to go to far away to see them. I need to see if my bigness fits in the rize and sequence.
One question . i watched another TH-camr the other day that only reviews used RVs he brought up a valid point about new dealer out the door prices being potentially tens of thousands more then what is advertised by the time you leave with the RV . My question is if I show up at that dealership from out of state so I pay my own sales tax when I register it in Ohio I have no trade in I show up with a cashiers check for the advertised sales price of $98,995 and that unit is available will I be able to leave with it that day without paying another cent out of pocket? Thats me not buying any extended warranty or any other extra service not even a full tank of gas, propane or even having it washed or cleaned. just the RV itself with the Jayco factory warranty and no lien. Is what he said true or can I actually buy it for just the advertised price and I pay my own sales tax when I register it myself and nothing more?
Great to hear the sale price!! Not a fan of the fold beds. Gonna say this again!! Hate the TV in the bunk over cab!! Great review and happy to hear they are gonna put the hinges on.
70” bed? If you’re over 5’7” you couldn’t possibly fit and that’s being generous. Please do our ears and speakers a favor and wear a mic outside when the engines running! Love your videos
My likes include overall layout, , theater seats and kitchen and ccc. Dislikes the placement of the tv, No windows in the cab over area, lack of storage for bedroom and bathroom.
Matt: Overall I think the design was very nice. I do agree with you “GIVE ME PORCELAIN OR GIVE ME DEATH”!!. Also not a big fan of the fold up bed. I do like the 750lb sleeping capacity of the bunk over the cab. Given the price for new RV’s the MSRP isn’t too outrageous. One question though what if you don’t live in near Albany NY or where you are showing the RV’s? How do you get the sales price?
Matt, I appreciate your sense of humor. You’re a goofball and I say that of many of the people I hold in the highest regard, such as my son. When Andrea was preparing to share her “like” I almost thought she was about to praise the interior window trim. I was ready to crack up as you put that in her head. I like that unit, the size, functionality and the 450 chassis. The plastic toilet is likely my only real dislike though I can’t say I’ve had the pleasure of pooping on a plastic toilet. I’ll take your word for now.
Someone should design a TV swing arm that brings it out past the bunk and lowers it. TV placement solved. Though it may block the door slightly. Big whoop.
Hey Matt and Andrea! My hubby and are are down two 18 months before we hit the open road! We are thinking of attending an RV show in FL this coming Jan/Feb. not with the intention to buy, but research. We are wondering about some of the show prices you’ve shown on some of your videos and it looks like they average about $30,000 discount for purchase at the show. Is this true? Best to buy at a show?
