He had a horrible infection that was so bad, he needed medical attention. Thankfully the band confirmed on there Twitter, Threads and Instagram that he was "Out of danger" but had to cancel the Europe tour in August. As of right now, he is making a good long recovery.
Hearing this live on their concert, the polyrhythm part playing WAY LOUDER and the massive drop and switch it takes midway was AMAZING. Nothing could prepare you for such a moment, one of the biggest highlights of the show. Love The Smile as much as Radiohead!
it's funny how some artists start great then fizzle out quickly or 'retire' young essentially. But rare ones like Radiohead, Tom Waits... having trouble thinking of examples atm but I know many others; they age like fine wine, just keep improving!!!

This song is brilliant, but the video adds another layer of artistic experience to the whole thing, and I would say is equally important as the song itself. I watch this almost every day.

The amount of different styles Thom has done over the years is insane. And he just doesn’t stop
It's his strength as a singer since the early days. He can take the weirdest shit that Jonny throws at him and sing a "pop" song over it.

Creatively brilliant and musically genius. We never know what is next. That's why we're all still here - 31 years later

thom and company are prime examples about age never being able to drag someone's creativity down
