- Climbing fast is a dream for many, but for professional hill climb cyclist Andrew Feather, it's a reality. He is the current British Hill Climb Champion, can put out mega watts, and eats KOMs for breakfast. But can he be beaten? Ollie, Conor, Manon and Alex go head-to-head in a relay race to try and beat him up Cheddar Gorge! How close can they get? Will Ollie get dropped, or will he drop the British Champion?!

Use lighter bikes with rim brakes etc.. This should be enough to win

Ditch the annoying baton and go with a good old fashioned high 5. You'll save a good 10 seconds of faffing around with that stick
Ollie's tactics are sublime, can't get dropped as the first of the relay

Andrew clearly paced himself, but then again he wasn't going for a kom, all he needed was to beat them, and he did. Kind of like pretending kids are fast or strong when they're not. You want to encourage them, not shatter them :)

I was going to say you looked like Ineos trying to attack Pogacar on a big climb, but Ineos never made it that close.

Kudos to Ollie keeping up on the steep start of that climb. He is a good sport about all the jokes, but hits fitness and his numbers are impressive for an amateur.
He may be between an amateur and a continental pro. He is very lean which I think means he is doing some serious training.
Ollie with the fluid climbing mechanics! Almost similar to Andrew's. Great job, Ollie! Do this again!
How good was Alex’s no handle bar transition while holding off The Feather while going round a bend! Absolute mad skills!

The thing that stands out to me is how smooth Feather is on the climb. He looks so efficient, no wasted movements or motion.

When i average 25 km/h on flat ground i am already proud of myself lol.

I think at about 4:00 he was freewheeling behind Conor...
Which translates to 5:06 in the video, you can clearly see that he's holding back. The attack couple seconds later shows what would have happened if he'd gone at his usual pace (all the way). 450 watts average is no coffee ride, though.
And he was off the gas during the second two handoffs.

Brilliant. I notice they haven’t drafted in Si ‘Killer Instinct’ Richardson. My guess is at Ollie’s plan would be 5 vs 1 but have 2 on the final leg with Si or Alex leading out Manon.
They couldn't bring Si, with Manon's shorts on Andrew would way too much incentive to stay way out front.

This was funny 😆 Andrew Feather made it look easy and went the whole way solo. Whereas GCN was struggling BIG time and had to use four different cyclists to even have a chance. 🙊

I enjoyed it a lot. I was a climber myself for my team back in the days(when I was younger..lol).Now I'm just doing fast club/group rides.
But I have to say. Ollie choose the right rider for the specific section. But at the other hand. Andrew is a beast. Congrats ones again guys with this amazing video. 🎉💪🏽

What a gent. Kept his extra 50 to 100 watts in the pocket for a dramatic finish. Exciting video, though... climbing is really though but it feels great when you're in shape and can really work the pedals smoothly.
Production on these is so good. Can feel the drama.
