Nice and unusual truck with its auger compactor.Would like to see this work with more "challenging" waste-like bulk that can fit into the hopper!Seems like it can eat normal home waste with no problems.
I liked seeing it picking up the one bag. I look forward to seeing more of the rotopack hopper at work. I'd like to see it handle a hopper full of black trash bags.
More videos of this truck please. Maybe from an angle where we can see the trash getting crushed into the back. One question....why is the auger so erratic? Does the operator have to activate it or is it automatic?
This is just my best guess, but I think it only runs when the operator has the deadman button on the joystick pressed in, and even then, it looks like the hydraulic circuit the auger is on is being shared with some of the arm movement functions. So hydraulic power is sometimes being diverted to arm movement rather than running the auger occasionally. Regardless of the erratic behavior, it's having no problems keeping up with the material that's being loaded in. Quite impressive. Hopefully we can get a shot of it starting to pack out, as any packer design can eat like there's no tomorrow when the truck is empty. The real question is can it still eat when the truck is full.

Youd be very surprised. Auger compactors tend to obliterate anything if they can get a bit of contact with it
