I totally agree with u regarding the backing tracs. I use them to study the bass lines and the rythmic piano or guitar. Then I try to repoduce them on my looper (a boss rc 10 with the drum machine). I have a very good teacher here in Rochester NY who inspires me to practice, but there is something about either what you do or how you are doing it that I really connect with. Maybe it's a reflection of the instruction you received as a student at Berklee, but you have a certain way of presenting that is unlike anything I have encountered before. The metronome came out last night! The little practice amp came out last night and the big Marshall twin lead is going to have a little vacation. I want to learn to play clean, undistorted and with no mistakes or strings that should not be ringing. I have been looking for someone to show me the way out of the darkness of "good enough." Ready to put in the time Sensei! Let's get to work.

Tomo, thanks so much for giving your time, we truly appreciate it! There is very little info out there about ending blues tunes in a jam sort of environment. I have a basic understanding of where the ending needs to fall rhythmically, but I always get pretty nervous when I'm leading the band and need to end the song. A lesson addressing this critical moment in a performance would be invaluable. Maybe talk about some go to licks you like to use, or how to come up with your own endings that fit, what to expect from the rhythm section etc... Keep up the great work.

One pickup has less impedance.. that means less wires and resistance for the signal.. so there's got to be something good about that imo . it would be cool to find out

Shuffle blues. tat tatat tatat tatat. I'm using mouth to sync finger and metronome. Sometimes i replace "tat tatat tatat" to "ba na na na" to more have fun. Haha Yup your guitar wisdom is awesome, sensei. Keep spread the website because that is so useful.

Thanks for the video, very interesting. The "SG" stands for solid guitar. But Les Paul didnt like it, so in 1963, when the contract between him and Gibson ended, the guitar was renamed to just SG. Btw what a beautiful guitar you have.

YES !!! I want to hear your lead or distortion channel !!! I have a Marshall JCM 2000 , 100 watt head and a 4×12 cab to match ( and live in a studio apt) lol , Anyway I use the clean channel on it 95% of the time and the gain channels are incredible but I pretty much use it as a pedal platform, I WOULD LOVE TO HEAR YOUR DIRTY CHANNEL MR.TOMO !!! The major scale You can View it as one master pattern that can be subdivided into 5 interlocking patterns that move across the neck (which change in position but in not shapes).

So I had a brain tumor removed a few years back and lost feeling in my left hand (fret hand) and now I can't tell my fingers to mute certain strings. I'm trying to compensate with my right hand but it doesn't sound the same. Any tips? Probably one of the toughest questions ever I'm sure but anything would help. Thank you!
If you would like to mute by your right hand, maybe you should made brighter tone so that you can hear all the unwanted noises so clear! In order to do this... for instance, you are using a Fender Blues Jr. Then please set this way. Treble 12, Middle 6, Bass 0 and Reverb 0. My favorite setting for improvement on techniques. Tomo, thanks so much for giving your time, we truly appreciate it! There is very little info out there about ending blues tunes in a jam sort of environment. I have a basic understanding of where the ending needs to fall rhythmically, but I always get pretty nervous when I'm leading the band and need to end the song. A lesson addressing this critical moment in a performance would be invaluable. Maybe talk about some go to licks you like to use, or how to come up with your own endings that fit, what to expect from the rhythm section etc... Keep up the great work.

One pickup has less impedance.. that means less wires and resistance for the signal.. so there's got to be something good about that imo . it would be cool to find out

Thanks for the video, very interesting. The "SG" stands for solid guitar. But Les Paul didnt like it, so in 1963, when the contract between him and Gibson ended, the guitar was renamed to just SG. Btw what a beautiful guitar you have.

I get stuck in a rut of just playing the same stuff over and over again because I don't know what I should learn
Should I learn chords first? Memorize the fretboard first? Memorize scales first? Memorize pick patterns first? Memorize playing with metronome first?

YES !!! I want to hear your lead or distortion channel !!! I have a Marshall JCM 2000 , 100 watt head and a 4×12 cab to match ( and live in a studio apt) lol , Anyway I use the clean channel on it 95% of the time and the gain channels are incredible but I pretty much use it as a pedal platform, I WOULD LOVE TO HEAR YOUR DIRTY CHANNEL MR.TOMO !!! The major scale You can View it as one master pattern that can be subdivided into 5 interlocking patterns that move across the neck (which change in position but in not shapes).

It's call a Fender Musicmaster Bass Amp but actually its a guitar amp! Like a vintage Champ amp! Very simple and effective for improvement.

So I had a brain tumor removed a few years back and lost feeling in my left hand (fret hand) and now I can't tell my fingers to mute certain strings. I'm trying to compensate with my right hand but it doesn't sound the same. Any tips? Probably one of the toughest questions ever I'm sure but anything would help. Thank you!
If you would like to mute by your right hand, maybe you should made brighter tone so that you can hear all the unwanted noises so clear! In order to do this... for instance, you are using a Fender Blues Jr. Then please set this way. Treble 12, Middle 6, Bass 0 and Reverb 0. My favorite setting for improvement on techniques.
