I’ve done this kind of work for a living for 31 years… This is not an example of a bearing removal for an inspection… This is an example of how to be totally unsafe while you’re working. Improper shoes, no gloves, no hardhats, improper rigging of lifted material, no safety blanket placed over the bearings as they’re pulled off (as they can explode if removed in a cocked position). And many more violations. OSHA would shut this operation down in the US in about 10 seconds.
For all you people that are bitching about safety this and that I’d be willing to bet that this work environment is very similar to those in the good ole USA not too awful long ago. Have had many old timers tell me stories about how they used to work. Seems to me they did just fine

That is the bearing coming off. How do they get the puller around the back of the bearing. the Outer Wheel side.

Test the curvature of the spherical raceway, the reliability of high precision bearing is stronger when the speed is close to the limit. For example, spherical roller bearings installed in the high-speed final rebar mill. Many bearings have severe heat and short life. The force of the final bar mill is not large, but the rotational speed is very high. Therefore, the high-precision MB type (copper cage) spherical roller bearing will be more competent. MB spherical roller bearings have the characteristics of high speed, low vibration and noise, low oil consumption and slow heating.

Why you are not wearing hand clouse
I have friends here in the US that work for the railroad. With that job comes weird illnesses. I have personally seen blood cancers and other things that destroy lives. Not sure what to do about it, but the exposure to chemicals and solvents is not good for people.

Poor working conditions
Lot times I think you shorten life & damage bearing more trying properly inspect it over putting different types of forces to it in the removed stage than its normal load and solvents or lint other contaminants used to remove grease to inspect it. If properly installed & seals not leaking. Long it getting proper supply of grease / or Oil less you fool with it the better. I use my temp gauge to record written normal operating temp. For each bearing. When it go up 40+ than normal for that 1 bearing operating temp. you know got a problem coming.

Here in the USA, you basically need a college degree for this kind of work. Even to join the military you need a college degree. The way it’s going, going to need to have a college degree just to work fast food or a grocery store.

Hand gloves in hot climate slips due to sweat and is very uncomfortable for work. Hence people avoid. C'mon elbow grease is best way. God has given us hands and all these regulations are recent nonsense.

Trabalho com rodas de trem 🚆sem ao menos usar luvas e de bermuda.... aqui onde moro tem uma fábrica dessas rodas MWL antiga Mafersa em Caçapava - São Paulo, a quantidade de aço para produção é grande mas usam EPIs....

Many bearing manufacturers could offer a better puller, the only problem dealing with some of these far east railways they do not like to pay but would rather copy, a good quality product, as far as safety gear well, i wonder how many of these guys ever become old men.
