It has more sebaceous (oil glands) per square inch as well. A telltale sign this skin is dray is that it appears greyish and powdery. This indicates it needs moisture. Just like all the rest of us.

I could only say, it is worth it going through the trouble to apply it everyday - you do end up with youthful skin in the long run. Sometimes I feel ashamed and wish I had flawless skin, but this video made me appreciate the way my skin really is. I wish society's idea of beauty included aged skin with spots, lines, dots, and damage. It's important to protect your skin, but we should love people for how they truly naturally look, flawless or with beautiful flaws.

wrong. the sun gets through both white and black people pores making them larger and older, it also causes wrinkles in both skin tones, but the fun thing about black ppl is that no matter how damaged thelr skin is, it s not that obvious because the darkness hides everything.

My best friend in middle school had skin like that. She was black and her skin literally feels like a baby's bottom.
I now have a very strong desire to fully submerge myself in a bath of sunscreen before going out everyday.
Getting a back covered in blisters that lasted for more than a month tought me as a teen that the sun is simply a death ray.
That's practically what I do now lol. My family mocks me for always reapplying my sunscreen but I'll laugh at them when I'm 40 and have younger looking skin than them

Those dark spots - freckles - are spots of melanin, which is also (like sunblock) opaque to UV. There is nothing wrong with those people's faces.

I mean you're right about what you said, but it also doesn't mean tanning is good for you. One person said 15-20 minutes a day; that is perfect, but the part about several hours a day... I know people with black skin that definitely should not spend that much time in the sun over their lifetimes.
