    • @ElisDiaz
      @ElisDiaz 10 ปีที่แล้ว +15

      Yes, Al Fateh is right, it's pretty weak for a sunblock. Any black person from a poorly sunlit state visiting the Caribbean is going to fry.

    • @qbee53
      @qbee53 10 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      Al Fateh -you are correct. Black skin needs sunblock as well. What is unique about black skin is that it is thicker than caucasian or asian ethnicities. It has more sebaceous (oil glands) per square inch as well. A telltale sign this skin is dray is that it appears greyish and powdery. This indicates it needs moisture. Just like all the rest of us.

    • @Tommybotham
      @Tommybotham 10 ปีที่แล้ว +38

      Al Fateh Not true. People who live in Africa endure harsh sun that would kill a white man. I don't see them buying sunblock.

    • @RakugaX
      @RakugaX 10 ปีที่แล้ว +38

      Al Fateh Actually he's correct. Darker melanin rich skin is the ultimate sunblock. The only problem with black people is that they need more sunlight if they live in colder regions. Black peoples skin was built to withstand the UV rays, that's why you never hear cases of people living in Africa or any hot sun regions on earth dying from skin cancer.

    Growing up in the tropics, a doctor friend of mine introduced me to sunscreen around 7 years ago, and ever since I‘ve never left my house without protection on my face. I could only say, it is worth it going through the trouble to apply it everyday - you do end up with youthful skin in the long run. And an important tip: don‘t neglect your ears! :-) remember, it‘s never too late to start taking care of your skin.

      What happens is that the unnatural diet that is followed today with so many chemical products, for example; The Cheetos, Doritos and other modern products that exist and that people eat, accumulate in the skin and create all kinds of diseases, and certain substances are retained in the skin and when exposed to the Sun they generate cancer, Therefore, maintaining a natural and organic diet, and absorbing sunlight naturally without any chemical product or sunscreen, we will stay healthy, the body has the ability to self-heal, everything is energy, and the Sun really It gives us benefits in every cell, it cleanses us, these are things that those in higher positions do not want you to know. I understand that clear skin is a sign of health and beauty, but I think that the freckles and spots look beautiful too. It makes everyone unique.
    I have freckles on my face and I love them, even though they are from over sun exposure.
    I loved seeing the ultraviolet side of peoples skin. Their true smiles and surprised reactions to how they really look is amazing. They look natural and happy.
    Sometimes I feel ashamed and wish I had flawless skin, but this video made me appreciate the way my skin really is. I wish society's idea of beauty included aged skin with spots, lines, dots, and damage. wrong. the sun gets through both white and black people pores making them larger and older, it also causes wrinkles in both skin tones, but the fun thing about black ppl is that no matter how damaged thelr skin is, it s not that obvious because the darkness hides everything.

      ***** It has been well documented for a long time even before sunscreen had been marketed that the production of melanin in your body is a response to injury. It might be a "natural process" as some people say, but so is dying from infection, but we do a lot to prevent that.
      I mean you're right about what you said, but it also doesn't mean tanning is good for you. One person said 15-20 minutes a day; that is perfect, but the part about several hours a day... I know people with black skin that definitely should not spend that much time in the sun over their lifetimes.
      It is really dangerous to be misinformed about sun exposure.

    • @supeoo1
      @supeoo1 10 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Bakkefication They have a darker complexion because melanin is found throughout their skin, whereas with lighter skinned people melanin is found in clusters (freckles).
