Ford continues to raise the prices of these trucks. 70-100k for a truck and the interests rates make for a hard sale. The auto industry needs a total reset.
I really think price is what's driving this.. i really think everyone is waiting to see what happens in the next few months if prices go down. And I really think they're holding on to what they have longer because of payment shock
@@Adventureswithmike1 My take is that the list price is huge but in the current market you can negotiate at least $10k off on a full size truck and even $15k+ if you push hard. OEMs could lower list prices but are probably unrealistically thinking of the Covid era vehicle shortages when they could get away with it. And of course there's the occasional well heeled but poor negotiator that dealers can make a fortune from.
I ordered a 2024 Ford F350 Limited. Waited a year for it - it died in 600 miles. Sat at the dealer for 7 months. I kept asking Ford to help locate a replacement truck. They took forever, cut me a check to buyback and said here’s a $2500 coupon good for 60 days to find one on a dealer lot. Well Ford - I found a new truck at the GMC lot. You should treat your customers better and take issues seriously. This inventory doesn’t surprise me.
I agree with the fifth wheel prep. When I bought my new truck (ten years ago) that was a must. I pull a 16,000# fifth wheel and the option was cheaper than adding all of the hitch stuff afterward.
I don’t think anyone’s ever told you that real American people work at these Ford companies. So if you want these companies to get fucked what you’re saying is you want a whole bunch of American people to get fucked. You just want them to get fucked not yourself personally right? Metaphorically speaking of course.
I just bought a F 250 with now fifth wheel. Also my dealer in farm country Ontario had many F 350 without fifth wheel. I add aftermarket here costs $650 to $750 CAD. I dont need the fifth wheel any longer and did not want the holes in my box. My price out the door was 15,000 CAD off list, my 2016 F 350 on trade I did well on.
I was looking for a CCLB Lariat with the 7.3 gas. The local dealer had one that had been on the lot over 6 months and were happy to get rid of it for well below msrp.
Today At work i was pulling a large cat skid steer, i was driving our 2wd 2023 f350 dually with the standard out put 6.7, its a monster, itll spin all 4 rear wheels in 1st, 2nd gear, traction control was engaging lol, standard 6.7 is PLENTY of power, it made my f350 longbed extended cab SRW 4x4 6.8 that i drive everyday at work look stupid pulling the same machine. Today i just wanted to test the 6.7 out for the first time. Now personally if i were to purchase one of these trucks i would get a gasser my my personal life style, i dont need a diesel and a 6.8 or 7.3 would handle anything.
I agree. Video would be a lot more useful if you told us the price along with the trim and engine. I can’t figure out why you didn’t show us the prices … that makes no sense in a video like this 😂
Intrest rate is the big factor. Not to mention how ford is asking alot for tow packages and only giving a bumper . No upgrades on radiator, transmission coolers or upgraded breaks and rotors.. I asked for all of that before building my 2022 f150 . I didn't even get the upgraded fuel tank ..
Only positive thing about the ridiculous pricing on all brands is it keeps raising the price of my used immaculately maintained truck, even though I’ll never sell it for one of these.
I don’t get why you think a missing 5th wheel prep is such a big deal. But I’m a contractor with only bumper pull 14k equipment trailers. So if I was a little more affluent, I would absolutely buy a king ranch 350 single rear wheel with no fifth wheel in it … it’s just a fancy work truck haha.
Hey Ford, I am a Ford man all my life. You have made them unaffordable to common folk. Yrim levels now are shoved down our throat. Let us order the truck with the options we want not the packages you want to force onto us $$$.
I’d love to have a new F-250 diesel, but I’m not going to take out a second mortgage to do it. Lower those prices significantly and I’ll consider it. As for the bumpers, doesn’t matter. I’d go iron cross, ranch hand, etc anyway. I would NOT buy one without the 5th wheel prep. Oh well, my “modified” 2015 diesel is still running great!
I don’t think the dealers intentionally ordered the trucks without the fifth wheel prep but supply chain issues forced them to accept the trucks without it.
Thank you for bringing up the lack of them Put in the fifth wheel prep and goose neck packages on these f350s. I have been looking for a f350 7.3 gas to replace my 2019 f350 , which came with the fifth wheel prep package, cannot find one. On anybody's lot. These dealers are a bunch of dumb asses that don't know how to order their trucks.
Prices increased too fast, and dealers sitting on these trucks got very comfortable selling trucks $10k plus over sticker. Another issue with these trucks is that they are not attractive stock height and stock wheels, people don’t have the additional funds to upgrade right away, and lastly the new truck are just not a big enough improvement from the previous model to upgrade. I don’t think prices will drop until new years because dealers will hope for businesses and fleets to buy them for tax write offs….
My 17 f250 king ranch powerstroke os awesome but i bought it used for $47k have to buy them used unless you own a business that could pay for one of the brand new ones.
Have a 22 RAM was gonna get a new ford but every brand including my 22 RAM is constantly having issues and cannot support their own trucks. Not to mention the 90k+ price tags for something you wouldn’t want outside of warranty
Yeah ; I ordered a 2024 loaded out limited over 15 months ago…… ( With the fifth wheel and gooseneck package). Ford just emails me stating they still don’t have a build date. But Ford can produce unsold trucks.
Something fishy about that post. Ford was delivering custom orders in 90 days....what would be the problem? It's a hugely profitable trim........like 40k of profit
Some of it I believe is the dealership ordering them with options they think customers will add on themselves. Option's they might not see as that important and will lesson the shock when they see the sticker. However if your dropping that kind of money on such truck, don't think an additional $600 is going to make the difference. After last night things are going to get better or much worse. Only time will tell, hold on to your coffee.
Unless they are giving my a great deal I won’t buy one without the 5th wheel prep sure it’s a cheap add on option but the inconvenience of getting it done if I’m spending 88-100k on a truck I want convenience
Nobody wants a truck at 70k to100k ! The payments out last the warranty! If the truck breaks down you can do one of two things, make the payment or fix the truck ! Insurance is a norther issue! The average person can’t afford this ! All car/ truck companies have out priced the market! The used car/ truck market is not much different!
Price, price, price! And the packaging has gotten very confusing. I need a F-250 or 350 for travel trailer and occasional heavy equipment towing. If I save $400 a month it will take 10 years to reach HALF of the cost of a comparably equipped 250 or 350 of my current 150. My f150 will be worth a sack of nickels by then😢
Not a change in the market, rather all those with deeper pockets that wanted trucks have already bought. Now its just guys that HAVE to buy because of one reason or another. It used to be just cuz we wanted new trucks we would buy when prices were much lower. NO more of that anymore.
Also the contractors who can write off the truck as a business expense and they actually NEED a 3/4-1 ton will continue to buy them, so again nothing weird, just the fan boys who lift them and put big tires on them to look cool are the ones who might slow down purchase, but even then the guys with LDS will pay much money for that “big tough guy look”

They are way too expensive! They aren’t that reliable ,and the 23/24 s are ugly ducklings. The 20-22s were so much better looking. I wouldn’t get the gooseneck package but I wouldn’t buy one either .
After looking for 8 months I finally worked a deal on a 2025 raptor r for 7k over msrp. First time ever paying over but it's impossible unless you own dealership to find them at msrp
It's also Ford's website when you build a truck and then hit the search inventory option, it's max radius it allows is 100 miles what a bunch of morons.
All the manufacturers will sit on this overpriced junk they have and then beg the gov to bail them out. Sadly, they probably will. Its simple, lower the price and they will sale
I will take a glacier grey tremor , fifth wheel package or not , trade my 19 f150 w/ 55k on it and walk away owing no more than 30 k , take it or leave it or keep your inventory for another six months
It’s almost like people don’t wan’t to buy 80-110k trucks.
true!
That can’t be the reason
Shit with a deal like that I’m thinking of buying two and will have a spare for when they are in and out of the shop for months on end.

I know what you mean! Prices are getting out of control.
Not only raising prices but also removing standard features (Lariat).
They've got some pretty sweet xl crewcab gassers at $60 give or take with 4wd

Prices are to high
Lower your ridiculous prices and I’d buy an F-Series today!

They are way too expensive! They aren’t that reliable ,and the 23/24 s are ugly ducklings. The 20-22s were so much better looking. I wouldn’t get the gooseneck package but I wouldn’t buy one either .

No one can afford these prices.
They are not cheap!
