I have a video of a sorta top level overview of how I did it. Not in "step by step detail" But in it I talk about the resources I used/was inspired by/educational material I looked at on youtube.

@@officialgrimwaregamesllc That’s a great video! I’ve watched it twice already. Lol. I would love to see how you come up with so many variations and styles from a single theme.

@@Its_Just_Shane There's a many approaches, not all of them apply but, what I do is come up with like a simple melody, you can change the rhythms and techniques. Sometimes I just try moving stuff around in the DAW until I like what I hear, sometimes for example the trailer music, I hear it in my head when I'm bored.
I have ADHD so my brain just constantly tries to figure out how to entertain itself.
You might also want to look into a musical form called "Theme and Variations" invented in the 16th century.
There's a cool piece by a Japanese composer called Sakura Variations by Yuquijiro Yokoh. It shows off different techniques of playing the same melody in different ways. Sometimes it could be as simple as a tempo change - the speed at which you play the melody can have an effect on the energy it has or how melancholy it can feel.
Next time I'm writing something I'll try to document my process better, sometimes I write something and after a bit I'm like this sucks I shouldn't show anyone so I never know which piece I'll end up liking haha
