DKW Auto Union F91 Karmann fourseater convertible. Handbuilt in Osnabruck in early 1954. Only a few survived. And for the record: this is a original convertible with the Karmann ID-plate on the firewall.

Mit so einem Auto (kein Cabrio) kamen wir 1968 als Flüchtlinge nach dem Westen. Als es steil bergauf ging, mussten wir zu Fuss gehen! Ganz alte Kindheitserinnerungen!
Oh what a beautiful car , these cars have a Soul they go on for ever , Iv'e got two Dk's one is in Pristine condition its a 1000s and the other is 3=6 Sonderklasse 1954 whis is under total restoration at the moment Hopefully I should have it on Show by the end of the year looking like new , these Cars will always turn heads where ever they go
My 1958 1000 went 90 mph or so but I'm not sure how accurate the speedo was with radial tires. I'm a VW guy but I have always loved Deeks. Yours makes me want to have another. So luxurious compared to the lowly VW.

Ook hadden we voor de buitendienst 2 x Kastenwagens. Bij hard rijden om de veerpont te halen (Zeeland ) wilde de 2 tact driepitter niet starten bij het afrijden ..vapour lock....zoiets als lock down. Maar ook bij afgelopen achterwiel de lading de andere kant en naar voren schuiven en met drie wielen de veerpont op en af en naar huis rijden D K W blijft D K W Ha wat me altijd bijgebleven is bij revisie de samengestelde krukas- drijfstangen- zuigers in het blok monteren....

@@joopterpstra7997 Kroon olie is een goed merk, zelfmengende olie is vanwege het goed mengen al aangelegd met benzine dus kort door de bocht de oliekwantiteit is minder maar niet zelfmengende olie heeft bij langer stilstaan grote nadelen. Mix 1 op 25 zou ik zeggen, rokerig jazeker maar een motorrevisie is ook niet niks Geniet van de D K W !
Een prachtige auto alleen met een waardeloze chauffeur, dan heb je zo'n auto dan moet je hem niet zo behandelen. Het is geen race auto, deze auto behandel je met respect.

However, there is nothing to be heard about the running smoothness of a 6-cylinder (3=6) so praised by DKW.
So what? On the freeway the car goes at topspeed very smooth so don't worry about 3=6 :-)
Nice car, my father had an IFA F9 when i was a child. Surely not Karmann! (But why you drive so fast and choppy inside the parking house? Relax! ;)
