Good question. However my understanding is that these stock in trout typically only will travel just 200 yds. from where they're put in. Given the size of that pond, I guess they don't feel the desire to travel under the bridge and through mini canal adjacent to a much larger pond. I'm sure there are exception but by and large they stay put. As far as how long will they live is up to whether or not they will be caught. I don't know how they would survive the summer heat.
