      It's the rainbow roostertail. It's great and my favorite. Depending on what the water is like different colors may work better. I love it though.

    My absolute favorite spinners right now are made by a company called Joe’s Flies out of West Virginia. I like their “ultimate wooley bugger” series. They are similar to a rooster tail but also have a small trailing treble hook. I’ve only used them trolling but they are absolutely deadly ☠️. I also like the Thomas Lures inline spinners. The Special, EP and Double Spin. I really wish you hadn’t mentioned that last bonus spinner.......because I don’t have any and now I’ll have to get some ad try it out 🤑

    • @CascadeBackcountry

      These Joe's Flies keep popping up on my radar but now that you've name dropped one I will likely have to order some! I have a few Thomas lure spoons which I like but I haven't used their spinners.. yet! Hey I only mentioned one bonus spinner, you mentioned TWO. Now I have to get some too $$$$$ haha Some people win the lottery and get addicted to drugs and expensive cars, I'd just have a warehouse full of fishing sh*t

    Great video! I've been using beetle spins for years in the 1/32 oz size for brown and brook trout. Also use the Johnson Min-O-Spin in 1/16 and 1/8 as well on the small streams I fish in Michigan. The Beetle Spins is far more weedless than a treble hook.

    • @CascadeBackcountry
      @CascadeBackcountry 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's great! Beetle spin is such an underrated and unknow lure. Plus they're like one quarter the cost of more traditional lures! Never heard of the Johnson Min-O-Spin but I'll be googling it immediately haha

      Yeah the brown Rooster Tail definitely deserves to be in the discussion. I think, because I had the brass Vibrax and black and gold Panther Martin, it might have been redundant. You could easily swap those two back and forth on this list tho! Hard to narrow so many great spinners down to just five. We'll see what next year's list looks like! And yes.. spoons are coming... and your ability to predict the future is uncanny 😀
