What you have dessiminated today is something that our medical professionals should have imparted to their patients. Unfortunately, what do they do is put their stethoscope on our chest and prescribe medicines. That is the fundamental wrongs in our system. We cannot call anything our system as we did not have a modern system. What we had was a feudal unwritten practices. What did the British leave to us, we followed them sans requisite timely changes by perpetually blaming them as a mechanism to camouflage our lack of knowledge and interest to bring positive changes. Instead we opted the tactic of blaming the British and government at the Centre for all our failures. Children should be passed with all the information regarding how we catch a disease and the symptoms that are manifested by our body etc. What you have done by your talk was priceless. I wish people like you are appointed as advisers to our semi-literate politicians who become honourable the moment they assume the job of a minister.
