I'm an assamese and I felt really honoured that my favourite stand up comedian Vir das tried assamese food. really enjoyed watching it. I like how he's witty,thoughful and polite; all at the same time. thankyou Netflix for this.
Small gestures but asking the home chefs about their families back home was touching. He's a beautiful man tbh. Shows his heart.

And to be honest, Ghost Chilli doesn't cause trouble in the stomach .. it rather cures if you have the ailment.

I do not remember seeing any celebrity interview or show where the celebrity is asking people about the well being of their families! Just shows how real he is as a person. Can't wait to watch his show next month!

1.) Both the Kashmiri and Assamese Chefs were called to the same place (studio) to cook food.
2.) Vir Das by mistake referred to 'Gitika' as 'Deepika' at 9:23 .

Yes, we offer non veg food to our gods, there is a festival called gaad batt translating to fish rice. It is prepared for the deity of the house and offered one plate and kept outside and everyone has gaad batt. In kashmir, pandits used to offer charwan pulav (chicken liver pulav) in shiv temples :)
Im from Southern part of Tamil Nadu and we too offer non-veg(mostly mutton) for our local gods. Also we eat meat during Diwali!

Loved the safe and secure thing...We are safe brother.Lve from Assam.Try other recipies of Assam .Those you guys ate were quite basic and famous tribal cuisines.Try other nontribal cuisines too if possible,you will always remember it
I am a Kashmiri and I am living in Assam. I was in Jammu when Article 370 was abrogated and in Assam when the CAB protests started.
