- Vir Das' performance at HT India's Most Stylish Awards.
After hosting six successful seasons of Hindustan Times Most Stylish in Delhi and Mumbai, the biggest celebration of style is back in a new avatar.
The first edition of Hindustan Times India’s Most Stylish took place in the fashion capital Mumbai on 24th January, 2018. The style curator for this larger-than-life award show was none other than Manish Malhotra, the most loved fashion designer in the industry, who choose Court Decadence as the event theme.
HT India’s Most Stylish Awards was attended by a host of popular personalities like Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Kamal Haasan, Rekha, Sonam Kapoor, Farhan Akhtar, Sanjay Dutt among others.

Me too, I've seen over a dozen videos of him and yes actually funny, does a lot of satire and real comedy in real life. Yes, double leaning jokes too, but it has relevance to what goes around not just in India, but in the world too. He's a genuine talent, one of a kind, very ballsy. Vir Das is one of the most underrated and yet probably the most suave of the 'comics' that we could have had in the past two decades or so.
and i'm not patronising him. It takes merit to bring originality to such craft and that too without being insulting, self-deprecating. (loved his bits on the Conan show, proving that Indians need not insult themselves to shine).
Hats off the HT for having big enough balls to let this get canned for final release.

This man is simply multi talented.
This guy did this in 2018 while rest of India waking up in 2020 and talking about nepotism and award show shit. I admire and respect the way he speaks all problem related to India with no abusive language just intellectual sarcasm.
Vir has always been hilarious. Just watch his interview with Conan. His choice of words, his way of delivery, his facial expression while delivering the punchline and his sense of sarcasm and satire in general has placed him way ahead of others. India is blessed to have his comedic talent
I saw him first time in Delhi Belly, and since then didn't see much of him and I guess he just was a blip, as an actor at least and finally out of nowhere (at least for me) The Two India's got me introduced to him again and man this guy is a genuine talent and very ballsy and brave, I just hope they don't send him to jail o'r put an UAPA act on him. India needs more and more comedians like him and not Kapil type, who will make half their jokes sexual and has become more of a bollywood promotion act

It is nice to see how HT allowed Vir Das to say everything that is not "supposed" to be said.
The AIB members themselves admit that the roast was not good and they could have done better jokes.
But they have great content which criticises or as you say roasts the bollywood, nepotism, government, and retards that protests againsts movies, rapist etc.

The AIB roast was magnificent. That is how a roast is supposed to be...the only fault was it was done way way ahead of its time.
AIB was not shitty, their roast was way ahead of its time and thats why people could not digest the fact that we can talk about sex and sexuality and cuss in the open. Yes, there were a few racist jokes pointed towards ashish shakya but AIB apologized for it. The AIB roast was fabulous, and so is vir das, he is fabulous too

He speaks facts like hard slaps but delivers the same in comedy! He is an intelligent man, he knows where he is. This kind of intelligence that rips the bandage off comfort aka ignorance in today's india is "rare" to the bone. I watched his standup comedy on Netflix. He is really talented guy. But, the problem is people chase all other fake talent celebrities.
