Every early 2000’s kids: Nothing. It’s perfect.
I was an early 2000s kid, and I wanted to see this one real bad. But watching it from start to finish all these years later, as an early adult, it means nothing to me.
Not all 2000's kids are unable to see things as they are.
Ever since I have seen this movie, I’ve always wanted to live in the neighborhood in the movie. There’s just something about those types of neighborhoods that I like.
I remember checking this out from the library, my grandpa immediately taking it and copying the movie onto another blank dvd to give to me and my sister XD

The roll credits sin has been fairly clear. The title needs to be said word for word, and here Hedge was substituted with Steve. It's a near roll credits.

The mid 2000s have tons of underrated gems in the kids movie genre.
Do you know about an animated movie about (I'm pretty sure) a bear who's domesticated or something like that but gets ditched in the woods by mistake and meets some deer? One of my favorite movies as a kid, but I've completely forgot its name. The animation style is quite similar to this one, which is what made me think of it. Anyone?

That happens a lot actually. There's an episode of Spongebob with David Bowie guest voicing a character and they don't have him sing: even though the episode is literally a musical. But then Heather isn't that big of a plot relevant character so I suppose it would seem a bit jarring.
@@shwahgamer It probably costs more to have them sing than just have them act, not to mention you have to either pay someone to write and perform song (instrument part) or pay the rights to play an existing song in your movie/show.
@@_korbo_ But why not? Wasn't Avril Lavigne still very popular at the time Over The Hedge was made? DreamWorks is a successful company with a big budget, so I assume they would be able to afford Avril Lavigne to do music for the movie. I agree that the creators probably thought it wasn't worth it because Avril Lavigne played such a small role in the movie which is a waste.
