Another thing to consider in the female race car sin is that NASCAR in real life is a mostly male dominated sport, with only a few females in comparison. Plus, one of the race cars was female.
Well there is at least three female cars that we do see in cars series that race! In cars 2, we got a racer named Carla Veloso who raced for Brazil and Cars 3 we obviously got Cruz Ramirez (who is Lightning McQueen’s apprentice) and Louise Nash who raced with Doc in his day! :)
(Unless you want to count the demolition derby racers in cars 3 then there is more than 3 cause I know there is a few more female cars including the bus)

I used to enjoy Cinemasins until I realized about 90% of their "sins" are not actual sins, just Jeremy not knowing how movies work, not paying attention to the movie, women not giving him a lap dance, people who look like other famous people, and opening studio logos.
Yea when they started going for 15-20 mims and lomger it went downhill

I honestly think people are way too hard on Cars. It's a really fun movie, and I think it stands among some of Pixar's greats.

This makes it sound like CinemaSins have failed to understand the film at a fundamental, basic, surface level. I find that deeply troubling considering it's a Pixar movie, and Pixar's movies are usually pretty good at being at least accessible to a wide audience so you'll usually understand them on some level whether you're 5 or 95.
I've been saying it for a while: Cinema Sins can't afford to care about the movies they sin.
Well, Jeremy and CinemaSins as a whole are one of the few exceptions, it would seem.

Cinemasins is becoming less of a show about critiquing inconsistencies in movies and instead questioning why everything in the movie happens. A message to Jeremy: We are no longer laughing with you, we're laughing at you.

Also, there are a lot of things closed Superbowl Sunday in the real world. And many businesses in the area of the sporting event if it is major close because it doesn't make sense to be open.
Also, small southern towns completely shut down for HIGH SCHOOL BALL GAMES.
Also, hyperbole exists and is used by real world sports announcers.
So in short, Jeremy does not understand sports.

I get what your saying, but saying it doesn’t make sense to keep them open is kind of a stretch claim. Many people don’t watch the Super Bowl so some businesses will stay open.
Add to that this being THE big event, a substantial amount of the country shutting down for it is plausible.

Another point, Lightning is PANICKING. Extreme emotions like that inhibit logical thinking.
And it also could've been the fact that Jerry's trailer looks very similar in shape to Mack's, especially with the lights. This could've led to him thinking Jerry was Mack too.
Or... he just wake up, and he is pretty sleepy. Heck, some people (including me) may not remember their date of birth or even name, without cup of coffee, if you wake them up at 2-3 AM. Talking about making a right decision in stressful situation.

In regards to the lone semi exiting the freeway sin, it's a bit too clever for Jeremy though. Lightning didnt just fillow a random truck for no reason. Hes a battery recycling transportation truck. When Lightning gets close and in the light, you can clearly see a large lightning bolt shape toward a back, a red bloby battery in the middle, and a yellow recycling sign toward the front of his red trailer. Compare that to Mac who has, a yellow lightning bolt toward the back, lightning himself in the middle who is red, and the red and yellow rustyz logo toward the front of his red trailer. From a distance and in the dark they look extremely similar. He left the freeway because this truck actually looked very much like Mac.
Let's be honest. Jeremy sins characters that start off flawed because he hates character arcs. He finds them confusing. At the same time he would sin the hell out of a character for being perfect from the get go, aka a mary sue.
I always love it when Jeremy contradicts himself in his sins.

This was and still is one of my favorite movies for several reasons. Great story, character development, some history, fantastic cast, awesome soundtrack, and the graphics. I used to demo the movie to calibrate peoples' new home theater setups just with the beginning ~ McQueen talking to himself quietly in the trailer juxtaposed with the random cuts to engines roaring, surround sound, the thumping of Sheryl Crow's _Real Gone_ and not to mention the rich character colors if the TV's colors needed tweaking.

All the trilogies are big arcs for the protagonists, including the avengers ones which are about a group dynamic instead of a single person. It's why the franchise works and the DC one does not.

I got a sin that Jeremy missed. The laps led from Lightning McQueen. In 2006, most laps led give you 5 bonus points. McQueen clearly lead the most laps giving him 5 points over the other 2, thus giving the cup to McQueen.

It always fascinates me how much Jeremy tries to have it both ways with regard to virtue signalling. In one breath he'll be like "so and so woman isnt literally sucking me off in this scene" and in the next he's lambasting bathroom queue jokes as being sexist.
His "That's racist" and "That's sexist" jokes are just that. Recurring jokes. He doesn't actually think the situations are racist or sexist, he just gives that sin lightheartedly to any situation involving sex or race/nationality, usually meaning it to be ludicrous.

He did let his bias ruin what should've been a fun review of the LF-A. He had so much fun driving the car, but kept letting the fact that it was a Lexus bother him. I usually love Clarkson reviewing cars, but it was a bit obnoxious that he kept bringing up the car was a Lexus, when there was not much negative about it.

I’m guessing since you are 22 now, the first time you saw this movie was... a long time ago, probably before you were a fan of Miatas. It was very obvious to Miata fans at the time, and yes, I did buy the die cast models.
Also also, try to buy a ‘94 NA8. Best year for Miatas. The 95M being another great choice. But clean examples have gotten expensive. I was surprised how much slower the 1.6l felt vs the 1.8l.

Guys don't you just hate it when studios who paid millions to get the movie made want there name displayed before the movie starts.
I know this has nothing really to do with this video, but yesterday I broke my rule of not watching CS anymore because I found out they sinned Encanto, my favorite animated movie to come out recently, after eight months of cold turkey. It was about what I was expecting: they couldn't find anything actually wrong with it and spent all their sins on nitpicking trivial details. Literally half of them had me scratching my head trying to figure out how they'd reached the conclusion they did.
However, there were two that made me extra salty: first, because the movie was popular they had a quota to meet, so they tacked on an additional 49 sins for each time Bruno was mentioned; which just felt like low hanging fruit, not like the entire internet has made that joke already.
Second was during the emotional climax of the film they used their "skip" sin, then immediately turned around and said "This scene is really good and probably deserves a couple sins off, but we're sinning it anyway because everyone has been such an asshole to Mirabelle up to this point." Like, WHAT?!? I was genuinely baffled at that one when I heard it.
That sin only further confirms my suspicion that Cinema Sins can't afford to care about the movie they're criticizing. They routinely ignore the emotional impact of a story (you know, the whole damn reason stories are told in the first fucking place!), because the moment they stop and sympathize their entire business model falls apart.
Anyway, sorry Birdman for clogging up the comments with unrelated stuff, I just really needed to get it off my chest.

Although I liked all of the cars films (including cars 2 but gonna be honest I do believe it’s a bit weaker compared to the other cars movies) but I think the main reason is that comparing to the movies that came out before and after it falls a bit short (even though it’s sad since I loved the cars movies but hey it’s not everyone’s cup of tea)
Say what you want about it but 9 year old me and 9 year old everyone in my school absolutely loved Cars 2 and it still holds a special place in my heart

8:30 Lighting's decision is also based on the exiting truck having a low trailer: small rear wheels and lights all the way to the ground, just like the racing trailers. He wouldn't expect to see any other trucks like this and made the most informed decision he could.
Don't know if I should consider it funny or ironic that CinemaSins specifically sins Chick for causing that big crash and then later on claims that the people watching the movie "like Chick better than Lightning". Just like with Lotso and Woody, Chick serves as an example of what McQueen would have become if the latter had gotten too caught up in his selfishness and arrogance, which would've happened if he hadn't accidentally wound up in Radiator Springs.
Earnhardt's pass in the grass was another thing to add to the list of things that made him badass. May he rest in peace
I finally figured out, I think why the quality has fallen at cinemasins.
It is because movie gets divided among 5-6 writers and then they write whatever they want to write with no context of rest of the movie. Then someone arranges the best parts a writing team writes the script and finally Jeremy comes in vomits the whole script and leaves.

I always thought it was funny that in Cars 2, Lightning meets Lewis Hamilton, who’s pitting technique has famously been to make tires last longer than the other cars, thereby making it sustainable to not pit
Lightning tried to use that same technique in this movie, but did it terribly which cost him the race

Hey Th3Birdman hopefully it’s not too much, but if you ever do Eww Cinemasins Finding Nemo, you should add a sin for Cinemasins when they didn’t remove a sin for the “In memory of Glenn McQueen” much like how they didn’t remove a sin for “ Dedicated to Joe Ranft” in their video of this film. I know that sounds pushy, but dang it these people poured their heart and soul in the movies and got taken away from this harsh world too early and are entitled to the respect and praise they so rightfully deserve.

also to add on at 6:30 runners are tired after big races, that's how that works, so if it was a big distance race, then the runners need a break before their next race, and a week is a reasonable break time
(5:00) Until 2003, NASCAR had a rule called “Race back to the caution” where the placement for the restart after green flag racing resumed was determined by where cars were at the line. This let Robby Gordon who was in second at the time of the caution race back to restart in first. So this scene could be considered accurate if you want to interpret when the scene was animated and whatnot.

Thank you for this! In my opinion, Cars is one of the Pixar masterpieces; and the movies were my entire childhood, no joke. I’ve seen Cinema Sin’s videos before, and I don’t think they really, truly understand the art of movies, especially after making fun of so many people’s hours of hard work. So, thank you for this! :D
The best part about this movie is if ur familiar with nascar you’ll recognize references.The King is a reference to Richard Petty who’s nickname to this day is the king, Darrel Cartrip is voiced by Darrel Waltrip, Chick Hicks is a reference to Dale Earnhardt(his grill mustache is what gave it away)
And the next gen racers in cars 3 are voiced by Ryan Blaney, Bubba Wallace, Chase Elliott, Daniel Suarez, and I think there is more I just can't think of them off the top of my head

If you ever do their Toy Story 2 video, I'm excited on what your take on their "x would be great at CinemaSins" bit, because in that video, they say that Slinky (aka the sweet, loyal, trusting optimist) would be great at CinemaSins, and that Hamm (aka the sarcastic, know it all jerk) is an example on the people who dislike them. Frankly, I can't wait to see how'd you react to that ludicrous statement!

That said, while Jezza does hate most american cars, there are rare examples that he likes such as the Corvette and Mustang/Shelby
Jeremy is more American than he admits. During TGGT S3 Ep1 he says that deep down everyone likes Muscle Cars, and has respect for Vipers, Ford GTs, the RTR Mustangs, Corvettes, etc. Hell, he even dresses like he's from Georgia half the time with this boots he loves to wear.
He loves uniquely american cars, he just loves to make fun of them. It also works doubly well because he's an entertainer and it works very very well for him.
I honestly forgot that they got Richard Petty to voice the king in this movie lol. Imagine being a va for your own homage character. If I remember correctly every race car except McQueen and Chick are based on actual racers. And McQueen and Chick are largely inspired by specific racers but not based on a single one.
McQueen is Jeff Gordon, Hicks is Dale Earnhardt

Same. I managed to go cold turkey for eight months until they released EWW Encanto, and I just had to see how hard they'd messed it up.
Another point on the Delinquent Road Hazards (the "neon cars"). With the way Chick goaded Lightning into trying to get to California first, it's implied that Chick hired the Road Hazards to harass Mack while he was tired to sabotage Lightning and keep him from arriving in time for the race. Whether the rumble strip/bobblehead thing was deliberate in any way, I'm not sure, but it may not be as contrived as Jeremy is making it out to be.
The only real sin I see is during 4:20 as the overlay on Hicks is not even pointing at his car.
I mean, I can see why people dislike Cinema Sins, but damn, I think some people just take it too far. CinemaSins is commenting on random insignificant shit in some movie, a tiny non-important detail that might present some inconsistency, and then someone else reacting to them just reverses that by very logically explaining how that would technically or rationally work in that universe. It feels like the intended or not-so-intended jokes are canceling each other out.
I do get that they sometimes seem unconscionably stupid in their statements, but I thought they would just get written off as weak jokes. Am I being to forgiving with their videos, or is it personal for some movie enthusiasts?

The worst part about the 'car based names are bad' bit is that Darryl Cartrip is voiced by/representative of Darryl Waltrip. What should that name be instead?
Also honestly the 'lighting couldn't tow the paving machine' point is fair. Stock cars are really powerful but they also have a racing clutch and very long ratios to hit 200mph with only 4 gears. Mqueen would have the torque but he'd just torch his clutch trying.
