Great hunt Nebtrac...I have found alot of wheats & indians and v & buffalo nickles that registered in at 1-26 fe...But only one silver that registered in the low 20's fe,and it was in the hole whith 3 wheats...Very high tone & 45co...but locked on 22 & 23 fe...The rest of my silvers have always registered 1-13 fe...Great video & congrats on those nice old coins...Going to look at part 2 now.
Because Bryan, if you have to go after a deeper coin, it's dang tough to dig deeper when you have a narrow hole. The E-Trac goes deep! I've retrieved dimes at over 9-10" quarters below that & it sniffs out wheat pennies like none other. Oh, and when you hit big silver, you KNOW!
@jdbelin It sure did that day. That is a spot I'll dig "all" iffy's for sure. I started out with Andy's coin program and haven't used the stock JD. I do know you have to put up with more falsing, but if I go to stock...I miss the falsing. So that is where I stay when in Conductive. NebTrac
@219erman Thanks Dave. You never know do ya! It was fun just to pull out some old coins. That 1865, while possible, was totaly unexpected. This are didn't start to see towns until mid 1880's.
@MinelabBobinMO Thanks Dr. Bob. Can't think why things were so different here. The soil is pretty neutral (sugg. sens. was running around 22 I think). Just the way it was, but the signal was sure there. NebTrac
@OhioCoinHunter @OhioCoinHunter Hey Thanks Dan. I've NEVER pulled out as many coins with iffy signals as I did that day. G4E and I were talking and trying to figure out why things were reading so weird. I don't know for sure. I do know for a fact the coins (other than that 1865 IH) were 6 - 9" in depth, soil was somewhat dry. I know there is quite a bit of iron there, as times I was tempted to go into TTF. I'll dig iffy's there til kingdom come if they produce like that day.
Hi Rick, The pattern was originated by Andy Sabisch. His book "The Minelabe Explorer and E-Trac handbook describes the pattern. Or you can go to Findmall.com, under the E-Trac forum and do a search there. He goes into great detail. The main reason is exactly what happened at this park. With Depth and iron trash the Fe number can drop beyond the 17 line set by the Factory original, so Andy opens his up to 27. It's all I've ever ran in Conductive sounds. It will false more though.
Hi Benno, The pattern I use is from Andy Sabisch. He explains the "rationale" behind it. It will false more, but with iron in the mix will still let you see down in there. I can't post the link here but will try and send you a personal message where you can read it. Thanks, NebTrac
@Vidslayer I know exactly what you mean. Normally that is the way it works for me as well. It just really seems to be the last 3 weeks of hunting has been this way. One thing I have been doing is listening to the signal, at times, in AM Ferrous sounds. This has yielded a little more info to me on some of the digs. I did not show this on video because I just dug the first Wheat on a one way hit and thought I'd film some that way....just in case
@Z06Fred Yes, it definitely was. There are some spots I sure wouldn't dig those high of FE numbers, but at that spot I'll dig every one of 'em. Thanks for watching and commenting! NebTrac
@pulltabpirate No its not hard to figure out, but the fun part is being able to adjust settings on the go, as the situation directs. Go to my last video on falsing. That is probably the hardest thing about the learn about the detector....for me anyway. NebTrac
That was amazing that the numbers were off so far and you still pulled a coin. What I was wondering is how often do you dig a target like that and have it be junk? I have dug allot of jumpy signals from 22-47, 12-46, etc. that turn out ot be a screw or half rusted washer. HH
I see you have a different pattern. Its not the standard E-trac pattern. Can you tell me how determined what works the best? Buying an E-trac next week. Live in Kansas, good ol' black dirt. Thanks, Rick
How come all the videos I see for the E-trac has people digging huge craters, but the coins aren't that deep? Can't that thing pinpoint any better than that?
great hunt guys.thanks for the sights, and sounds of the e-trac.some great finds
there.looking forward to part 2
Very nice video - helpful and well spoken narration. I agree that many of older coins come up with higher FE ratings. Thanks for posting HH.
Great finds NebTrac! Congratulations on the old Indian and other cool finds! On to part two!
Great video Neb love that showing of numbers and how we need to dig some of those less than "perfect" numbers
Great hunt. Good advice about relying on sounds. It paid off for you. Nice video.
Great Video! I learned some things today! Much appreciated! Gregg
Good work with the ETRAC NebTrac. Definately was a funny signal day.
Thanks guys! I'm enjoying your videos as well.

You can pinpoint shallow coins very well

Yea I would have totally dug that first signal
@MarcfromTreasureNet1
Thanks for the start of the song!
NebTrac
@1smokingunz Thanks Dave. I don't think I'll best ya though! You've done real well!
NebTrac
@icollectstuffdude Thanks for watchin'
How you doing Neb? Wen you coming back out this way?
Don't think I'll get that way any time soon Bob. I've watched a couple of your videos though. You're off to a good start on the silver. Take care
where do yo get the add on probe???
@Nicolathecat @Nicolathecat Its the Sunray X-1 probe. Go to Sunray.com
Yes it runs off the detectors power supply.
Can you tell me what kind of pinpointer you are using? Is the pinpointer connected to the metal detector? Thanks.
How come all the videos I see for the E-trac has people digging huge craters, but the coins aren't that deep? Can't that thing pinpoint any better than that?
looks like ur using Andys coin program? does it work better on coins than the stock program
That’s an old Indian Head and would be considered old even here in the east
Digging plugs like that without using a ground cloth leaves a mess and will get you and us thrown out of the parks. Clean up your recovery skills.
Frustrating watching you take forever to locate the coins, more practice
