I am inspired by his tenacity. He said he walked around the neighborhood for 5 hours, and received nothing but rejection, but he refused to give up. Then he found himself in a neighborhood warning! Most people would've given up, but it made him more determined.
@ Yes, I was thinking the same thing! I think it illustrates that you have to believe in yourself and the work you do. He produces premium work. He is confident that he can bring value to these people who say yes.
Expecting a ton of initial rejection is crucial for an artist; whether or not what you’re doing is the exact same thing someone casing a house for a robbery would find handy.
@ something to consider. But, he seems to be able to overcome the skepticism of homeowners too. Don’t know if I would do it this way, for the reason you mentioned.
It's a hard thing for artists to learn. Most are very emotional and vulnerable people who have this one thing that they love, take pride in and live through. Getting that one thing shredded and rejected can be a lot, but it is also another path to success opened up.
After a thorough and meticulous examination of the rationale underpinning your decision, I find myself in a position of considerable concurrence. The logic, upon careful scrutiny and layered analysis, aligns so consistently with principles I deem fundamental that I am inclined to affirm, with unwavering conviction, my complete and absolute alignment with your chosen course of action. Thus, it is with a profound sense of accord and intellectual resonance that I hereby declare my full agreement with your decision.
Well of course people who aren't white American are usually more friendly and welcoming because of their cultures, now please don't misinterpret this as a race thing. A European that immigrated to America would probably be equally as friendly. A perfect example is how the second person that accepted was South African, white but South African.

The shoesssssss 😭😭😭 Jeff as well, love that he invited you in because he wanted to help, just like those who helped him. No dude, seriously, this is just so freaking wholesome. Tip to get more business/your art in homes like this: Look up the real estate agents for these properties & contact them to create custom art pieces as closing gifts for their clients. They’ll be able to better guide you as to what clients would be more open to doing something like this & filming.
I like the way he does it now. It shows his heart and persistence. He really has to work to find the deserving family. Also, rejection builds character, if handled the correct way.
Constructive advice to help him grow ! That’s very kind to take the time to share ! Love to see the kindness from people especially after all the rejection or just pure rudeness if some to entitled to bother showing any .
Jeff said his favorite thing to do is work. So when an opportunity makes him feel good, he seizes the moment because perhaps he experiences it rarely. In his situation, money indeed doesn't buy happiness that's why gifting Marco a 1% share of his company is nothing for him, but possibly more happiness and prosperity for both of them in the future. Jeff also mentioned that he reminded Marco of himself when he was 21 years old and starting his business. Jeff might not explain it well in English, however, that's what many humble rich Asians/Chinese do. When you show respect, kindness, and trust first - you will get the same 10 times fold. 💓 Looking forward to the beginning of their good friendship.
I like that he stuck with his original vision and adapted the texture and color for the people. Super sick design and beautiful to see people coming together because of art.
You're the best!! Yahya was showing you Arabian hospitality, Jeff turned out to be a cool guy as well. It's the foreigners who worked for their money that showed you kindness while the others were just plain rude. In the beginning I didn't think you had a chance with those people. Hope you recover!!!!
@@hahahahah67 Well think about it, you work your butt off your entire life for a little peace in a house bigger than most with possibly a lot of yard space in a possibly gated community where you probably know everyone and a random guy you've never seen either in or around the neighborhood comes up to your door and asks to paint the walls you've spent years to afford. I would definitely assume it's a scam to either steal something or worse.
Marko literally could not have given his art to three nicer people. Rick being SO EXCITED to meet Marko, and just have him to talk to him. So glad he ran into him at Home Depot because this is something he will hold dear to him and tell stories to everyone about for the rest of his life! Jeff is just so sweet and good natured. It was kind Chinese way of saying mirrors are bad choice of gifts. In Chinese culture gifting a mirror is inviting ghosts into that person's life. But Jeff is kind he still took the gift
I am amazed at this video! Marko did a great job on each piece and even improvised with his injured knee! Jeff’s generosity is off the charts…he gifted him the 1% of the company before even seeing the artwork!! I also loved how the children of Yessef (sp?) were amazed by the artwork and were touching it & his wife was a sweetheart. The Rick part was super cool and it was amazing to see how much thought and detail went into each element of the shoe!! I loved Rick’s reaction! Great job Marko and crew!!

Jeff is brilliant because he didn’t just shut him down! Marko, you have a heart of gold. My Dad passed unexpectedly almost two years ago, and when Rick was smiling, the way he was holding the shoes and moving them around, totally reminded me of my Dad. So heartwarming. You’re so humble and good hearted. To take all that time with him was such a gift… something he’ll talk about for years to come. The two huge pieces you made for the homes were incredible, and what an unexpected blessing! Keep on doing what you do. You’re so very talented and such a gem! God bless and keep you and your lil family 🙏🏻
The rick stuff was so awesome. You really did so much more for him then you could even imagine. The light in him just being so proud of you before he knew you then getting to hangout with you is so cool. He reminds me so much of my father and my grandpa who have both passed. Thank you for spending that time with him and making those shoes.

It's actually so funny at 37:00 when he was told what is the best part when looking at the mirror, he actually said he didn't get it because the translation was lost. Jeff didn't get the idea of he is the best color of the artwork from the mirror.

Marko truly embodies what it means to be a kind and genuine person. It's heartwarming to see how he connects with others, even when language barriers are in the way. For instance, the way he intuitively felt a good connection with Jeff, despite not speaking the same language, is incredibly touching. If many artists could learn this kind of persistence in the face of rejection, they might be successful. This guy has amazing grit.
1% of a potential $100 Billion company is an insane gift!! good job, Marko!!! Jeff is a cool guy.

I like the way he does it now. It shows his heart and persistence. He really has to work to find the deserving family. Also, rejection builds character, if handled the correct way.

Looking forward to the beginning of their good friendship.
