The only people who ever got a better deal than they asked for and they blew it, wow
I think it was mainly about Kevin and Robert fighting over the same toy and wanting to come out on top. not so much about the company itself lol. Toy's cool, but not a great sales execution
And yet they blew up and are making MILLIONS! So, they didn’t blow a damn thing…
@@AutoYoung Lmao they're valued at 1M 😂
@@rebecatravels for now
Greed is the biggest enemy of humankind.
I love how Mark stopped them from talking about the deals just to tell them he was out lol
And cost them 11% more. Nasty.
I love how when they took the deal Kevin maturely walked over to them and Robert was running waving his new toy in the air
😂😂😂😂😂
Ooh that would have hurt. Not taking when being offered the exact deal you came asking for.
And something i don’t think i remember, an even better deal than was asked from Kevin
The better counter would have been $150 for 20%
I thought they gonna counter for this.
Right? They didn’t even try to go up in money. I mean they were both dueling at 10% for 100k, they should have countered at 20% split for 100k each and everyone gets what they wanted.
That 5% equity would be worth 100x more than +$50k in the future.
Y'all terrible at this. Stop commenting.
Asked for $100k for 10%, got an offer of 9% and they left the tank with 20% deal. Wot?
That is very sad for their part lol

got one for my kiddos and it was such a hit, that i had to get my own. using it while watching this.
It looks like Mark couldn’t figure it out lol
Why didn’t they ask for more money instead of less equity…
No one knows "why." Why bother asking.
bcz its pre scripted to make u ask why they didnt do that .
Most dudes prefer the equity
Right? They didn’t even try to go up in money. I mean they were both dueling at 10% for 100k, they should have countered at 10% for 100k for each shark and everyone gets what they wanted.
Because 5% equity is worth way, wàaaay more money than another +$50k if they gonna blow this up. 50k is pretty much nothing.
It's way too expensive for a kid's toy. They need to remove the rechargeable battery, and just use AA batteries, and maybe charge like 10 dollars for it.
And maybe make a ZipString Pro version with the rechargeable batteries.
Have you seen toy prices? A stuffed bear is 25 bucks. A small one at that. I'll take the string lol.
@@kayladowns2377you talk like where youre from is the only market in the world. Reality is that the rest of the world won't buy either of those for $25. Proof is in their sales.
As a parent I would, easily, rather pay a little more for a toy with a rechargeable battery than one where you're constantly having to change out the batteries.
Great toy. I can see kids having fun trying to be creative with it 👍
I could have sworn ive seen these for years at toy conventions and on chinese marketplaces. I'm shocked the cost to produce them were as high as it was
my siblings and I had these when we were kids in the early 00s. we got them at a local toy shop (gadgets & gizmos. they specifically sold doohickey toys like this), don’t remember seeing them in any big chain toy stores or anything.
Now I want one for Christmas 😂
Looks so much fun!🤩
Am I the only one wondering what’s new here?? I remember these toys from 20 years ago
Exactly 😂😂
They built a toy line based on Norman Tuck's Lariat Chain - an incredible Physics Marvel!!!
Still can’t find them on Amazon
They shouldve brought up the point how dancers and other performing artists can definitely use this toy as well ! Theres a bigger market for it that hasnt been reached yet and it is well priced at $25 for that reason !
Bought a bunch as gag gifts for my employees. They love them
Barb: “guys I don’t believe in toys or fun and for that reason I’m out
enjoy ur meal bro
This seems like the kind of toy that kids would be really excited about for about 5 minutes, then get bored with and never touch again.
I got one of those at Disney World when I was like seven...
I think mark said for 100k as a joke and they went with it. Kevin was probably planning to offer 200k.
My kids are playing with it now
Would love to have Kev on my team! Good deal
Kevin showing off his long string when you pause at 01:43. The look Barbara gave lol.
1:43 next time put a better time…. lol ffs
I have been doing this with a fishing line ripper for 30 years this in not a new product
These people came to my school today, and they know one of my friends. Also, she’s on the glow-in-the-dark ad my friend.
They act as if they already sold millions 🙄
Hasn't this been around forever?
They are charging $36.99 on Amazon with pretty poor reviews on performance
These are really big at music festivals rn
"you guys had an offer of 9% before" ....Yeah you gave me 2.5 seconds to reply then the other dude interjected with let's team up lol
Other sharks will missed the oppoturnity it's simple and cool and that's what parents wants.
Why did they cut to Kevin when the dude said smooth surfaces 😭
You didnt create it, these were things at disney years ago
That's sad, equity jumped from 9 to 20, they should have dropped the deal !
I'm going to get two for my niece and nephew They 5 and 6 they should like this
Have you guys not bought a stuffed animal 😂😂
They played themselves but good deal, at least they got 2 sharks
Damn this was wrong in so many levels. First not taking the 10% offer, then not taking the 9%, after that countering to ask for less equity instead of the same equity and more amount of money. Anyway it's still a good deal getting two shark, i assume this pitch will definitely blow up and easily will be worth at ten's million of dollars in next five years.
No one sees the liability with the choking hazard
You can say that about ANYTHING.
Afterwards deal never closed
Hey know-it-all ... do you (fib) much in daily life, too??
good thing the meeting didn't go on any further the would have given 100%.
I think it would be cooler if it were not battery operated... The coolest toys we remember had no plugs or batteries and were very low tech...Hula Hoops... Etch a Sketch...Cabbage Patch... Lincoln Logs...Legos...Mr. Potato Head...Cooties...
In tangles on the floor in a week guaranteed!
Ill order one from alibaba for $4
9% for 100k naaah. Gimme 100k with 20% two sharks like how😂. Ask for 200k!!!
Not taking Roberts deal right when he put it out there might be the worst thing I have seen on this show. Perfect shark with the exact offer they came in with and these guys didnt jump on it.
Kevin offered 100k for 9 percent
"$25 is way too much!"
Looks up online: selling for $42😢
They almost blew it
They did blow it! They went from an offer of 9% for $100k to giving up 20% for $100k.
@@blimpburgerif it was 9% it would have never closed since it didn’t even close at 20%
If they stand firm little bit more they probably will get more money...
Their biggest problem would be, this things can easily replicated in china, and sold just for $5
This was in Asia years ago
This was painful to watch. They had two sharks dueling it out to get 10% for 100k and then Kevin says to Mark, “hey let’s go in on this together 20% for 100k.” Ummm what? These guys were just fighting each other for the deal to the point Kevin even drops to 9% and you agree to HALF what they offered? They did attempt to try to offer less equity but when Kevin said he needed 10% to get excited about it, they should have immediately countered with both Mark and Kevin each getting 10% for 100k a piece. I’m sure they would have took that deal. Painful.
for $14 they will sell like hot cakes. i think most people have seen this toy. i thought it was proprietary. did they even mention patents? i never looked to buy one but totally would especially as a gift. $30 now on sale is a decent price. deals on multiple
I'm pretty sure this has been out since the 80s
Wow these things were the thing at Christmas time this year these dudes. Probably made trillions
We get a fifth of your company and you get two of us to lord over you instead of one 🙄
This is nothing new. Disney theme parks were selling there for some time.
In here because the algorithm got me ->
I want the toy
Woulda jumped at 9
Disney already makes these AND they have a blacklight built in. Makes me so angry they’re acting like they invented this.
You don't think we can hear yo guys? Kevin O'Leary is sitting across from Justin Trudeau right now. Justin suddenly showed up out of the blue and now making small talk.
We can see you with our minds eye. Telepathy, eh?
And the product is still the same price. What a joke the sales will continue to be flat at 29.99 per unit. Not to mention china has already beat out this product w cheap knockoffs that probably preform the same
Absolute crap business guys, they will end up giving away so much of the company in the end, plenty more sharks out there who will want another bite out the pie
Not safe for children.
Don't look up
They got better than they asked for and wanted to "talk about it" 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
What's there to talk about, wutely they've already talked about the initial asking offer
Terrible negotiators indeed 😂, they could`ve asked for more money. 150k for 20% at least haha but well they are still learning
Got greedy
scammed
It's junk I didn't watch the whole video but if what I saw is all that is wow let's invest in string lol
Меня матюкалис з плейустейшон 4
Should've asked for more money to go with the extra
Barbara: I only like big black toys so I'm out
Do you put words in peoples mouths in daily life, too??
@@warriormanmaxx8991 😂😂😂 maybe
Seventh comment
You don't want children playing with this. It is a choking hazard. Very bad product.
His story was total bs. Ive seen this toy out in the early 2000s
Ther are a million of thse things now. LoopLasso a nd bunch fo chinese knock offs that glow in the dark as well.
This product is dangerous for children the rope could get twisted around their neck. Idk what do you think?
It’s string not a rope. Also this is gonna be marketed towards older kids, if you’re a parent buying this for your 4 year old you’re just dumb.
Looks pretty safe to me.
Never played jumping rope, yoyo and clackers?
You can say that about almost anything
Not rope, it's an extremely light string, lol. Do you let kids use knives and forks to eat? Probably far more dangerous than this thread.
Knocked offs all over Temu and wish. Ali babaz
