Unless the battery contact point is oxidized, there is really no need to scrape away and resolder. The metal contact can be slightly bent using long nose pliers. Key thing to maintain battery position within the remote control is yo USE a small blob of blue tack to hold battery to remote casing! Not what is shown here. Try my suggestion.
Not really. I had tried bending before. You would have noticed those links where I try to bend. It does not work well because of a subtle reason, the battery is actually longer than the width of the circuit board! So the clips diverge away from the battery actual metal caps. You may bend but the metal will miss the battery!. In type A the manufacturer create a Z bend to correct. You know it is well nigh impossible to make a perfect z bend yourself in this small space! Type A design check the video again, beautiful Z bend made in factory. Also blue tack is too soft and will not offer the right tightness particularly due to the geometry as explained above
