There's something so classic and primordial about these vintage live versions of "She Calls" - rarely acknowledged, but it's the best thing this phenomenal band ever did.
Machine Gun 1:38 failed attempt to play souvlaki space station due to technical difficulties Slowdive 13:38 Avalyn 18:14 Catch the Breeze 23:27 Mellon yellow 27:14 Morningrise 32:14 She Calls 36:42
first listened to the oslo live of this set, i fell in love immediately with machinegun, and all of it, have been listening to it non-stop since for the past week, that into souvlaki spacestation then slowdive avalyn, i am pretty sure the same songs order as well, real dope to be able to watch the band play it live on stage here be feel like part of crowd, found oslo recording much smooth, so much so that think that live rendition of machine gun outdoes the studio version as well, do really appreciate this rare videorecording of the band from back then, precious gem to see them in their youth and wish to have a chance to see them live now.
Interesting that this set starts with Ascent (An Ending) by Brian Eno, since a lot of the Pale Saints shows I've seen on TH-cam also start with this song. Can't remember which ones specifically, but I know that their Glastonbury set at least starts with Eno. Were there any other shoegaze bands that started their set off with this song?
What's the song playing at the beginning before they get to the stage? (I've heard it in the Butterfly effect, but this is before so it gotta have another name), by the way thanks for the upload :)
so many men in the 90s fell in love with rachel and harriet from the sundays.
I wore a Sundays shirt to the show tonight
Don’t forget Belinda from MBV
Came here to watch young rachel. Just gorgeous.
ayo pause bruh

The song from the beginning is by Brian Eno I think, but I'm not sure.
Correct. Another great musician.
Its „An ascending“
Bogdan Roman an Ending [ascent] by ENO and Lanois
It's a song from the Apollo record
Same song was used before Pale Saints did Reading 1993! Good ear, man. Eno's sound is unmistakable to the ears.
I was there. They toured with Cranes.
Did cranes headline?.
do you happen to have the ticket stub? for the slowdivedatabase . com
@@slowdivebreeze1 Yes
That's dope
Rachel is that you ?
My God in heaven that was a long awkward break in the show. SSS always seemed to be plauged with technical issues in these early recordings.
