Come on MGM. Do the right thing and pay the lady! WTF?🤢😡🤢
Despicable. Pay her!
I hope she wins the lawsuit against MGM. I wonder what that MGM Casino would say if she had asked them if she's allowed to gamble there, i.e. before she won the money.
They should pay her with interest and court costs. Key is with interest. They should have some form of punishment for not paying and that should be interest added for every month unpaid.
Sad thing is, MGM would rather give $125k to some lawyer than pay this woman. America ..
She is actually suing for a addition $75k for damages besides the $127k
MGM thinks they’re getting away with someone but it’s going to cost them in the long run.
she does not seem like the type of person that would get banned from the casino. She seems like a very nice and well spoken lady.
That's why the world is crazy people judge based on behaviors bad people can fake being friendly
@@MondeyKingyour mom and sister do that. GFC-SFC
Yup one minute video of her being nice proves she never did anything wrong at the casino 😅
@clarkness77 Some of the worst villains in the world are known to be the nicest people those are the ones that you have to look out for she almost cussed twice in the 1 minute interview even in the interview she comes across as a toxic person
I’m a loyalty member of MGM Rewards. I usually go to the properties in Las Vegas. This is a bad look on them. Pay the lady the money that you lost and move forward. Be fair to your customers.
Pay her, her money.
What a load of crap. She should sue MGM for a lot more than she won.
Looks like the lawyer hit the jackpot on this one.
The casino may have more lawyers but you have right on your side. They should be ashamed. SUE, SUE, SUE!!! TALK ABOUT THIS ON EVERY TV STATION, PUT IT IN THE NEWS PAPER, POST NOTICES IN GROCERY STORES, EVERYWHERE.
Another good reason to stay out of these places.
She wasn't supposed to be there.
@@jimmyjames6487yeah she was Jimmy johns
They never informed her about the ban. The ban never stopped them from taking her money when she lost over an eight year period. But now the ban is being enforced after she wins a six figure jackpot nearly a decade later. Yeah, they're gonna lose this lawsuit, and I hope she's awarded punitive damages.
They will pay up….they have two this happens in Vegas we’re I live the same thing and they were orders to pay up …..good for her
I bet they don't. Banned means banned and they are not required to send you a letter.

People should boycott the casino until they pay the lady
If she is a regular gambler at MGM, she would have used her player’s card most the time she is gambling there to get comps, so, MGM knew she gambles there after the so called ban and they didn’t stop her then? Easy case!
Winning a jackpot is not really dependent on using a player's card. But your point is correct. It would be interesting to know if she was using one, but MGM cannot use, as an excuse, the fact that she didn't use one.
I read on another source she was asked for her drivers license and that is when they found out her name. If so, that would indicate she was not using a players card?
@@Ozzy.Kopec1 No, not at all. WIth the amount of winnings she received, there has to be a W2G form filled out, which requires indentification. The player's card is not legitimate identification. What is legitimate would be a passport, driver's license, or a military ID card.
@@BigfistJP Got yah! Have never won big at the (few times) I was at a casino so was not aware of that LOL
@@Ozzy.Kopec1 driver license is only to assure you are who you said on your player’s card and for IRS purposes.
The excitement in your voice when you finally reach a victim is priceless. You're so compassionate and empathetic. Merry my regards to you and your loved ones, *Grindtechiei* 👍 Thank you for everything you do;
Some ask you too leave and you leave most times they won't permanently trespass you... and most permanently trespassing a police report of some sort is needed
All trespassing needs a police report. They can "ban" if they want but it's not a legal trespassing order until the police are involved with proof that you were on the premises.
PAY that lady her damned money!!! 😡
How about the Illinois lotto where people won over a certain amount and they were told they have to collect more revenue before they will pay? And then they can't get paid until the state passes a budget. Smh.
Total bs. I would sue the state of illinois, then move out of that crap hole
Illinois owes BILLIONS of debt.
They were the first state to tax the internet sales and then legalize cannabis. What did they do with all that new revenue? They spent it and ended up DEEPER in debt.
sounds like Illinois budget is being usurped by other agencies
I would sue and demand interest as well.
The real question is: if she had lost a bunch of money instead, would the casino have given her the money back? Exactly, get your money girl!
The house always wins... That's not a cliche..
Pay this woman her money !!!
Stop gambling
Casinos are corrupt… it’s a con. If you want to go throw a little money away, great. But, you know what you’re getting yourself into.
Getting yourself into?Who are you The Wizard of Wall Street? You play you either win or lose those are their rules..
@@myronbledsoe44 the vast majority of people lose… that’s what you’re getting yourself into. The house wins. It’s not that deep Columbo…
This is not the first time one of these places made up an excuse to just not pay.
Those prior visits are going to play in her favor I think.
Agreed.
Pay this lady! I’ll never go back to MGM Detroit again!!
for so many years they took her money, you know she probably has one of those players card, if so, they knew she was there gambling, but never told her over 9 years. some serious BS greed.
She wasn't using her players card r credit cards because she was banned and knew it, genius.
It’s almost as if The House always wins for a reason.
This happened a lot with card counters as well. They refuse to pay them because they are on the banned lists.
This is so so stupid. The bad publicity will be way more value wise then that payout. And that is seriously absolutely nothing to even a small Casino. Netprofits range from mile-high single digit millions daily up too hundreds of millions daily at major casinos.
Pay her.
MGM had done that before and it was on the news.
Casinos need to be illegal. No excuses
Why I stopped going to casinos.
I've heard of a TH-camr that got banned for 30 days and I believe he showed a letter that they sent him because they have your information through your players card so I definitely feel that if you were paying with your players card you should be deactivated and if it wasn't and you weren't told that's not very fair😔
Ma’am I hope you get your money plus plus total mafia BS
If she used a players card each time MGM will be paying alot more than 127k! If you are banned it shows up as soon as you are swiped. They will not only lose more than likely 10x forfraud; but a hefty fine from the Michigan gaming commission. Hopefully her lawyer is astute on gaming rules.
Exactly
She will prevail, and will wind up getting additional money for mental anguish and suffering. She has been ALLOWED to enter the casino many times over the years since the "trespass" charge so the precedent has been set. The casino is making a mistake and getting bad publicity over what is a very small amount for a casino.
This keeps happening, and I also noticed a theme here, it's happening to a lot of bIks, i think whatever department regulates casinos, needs to investigate because this is getting ridiculous.
I mean what are the odds that you would actually know someone that hit a jackpot, and the casino claimed "Slot malfunction", well i literally know someone personally that this has happened to, and every time i look around, i keep hearing more and more stories of this happening...
sounds like FRAUD!! Pull their Gaming & Liquor license.. All Casinos are FRAUDULENT to some extent..
She wasn't trespassing when they took her money imagine that
I'm not from Michigan but will never visit this casino or any MGM owned casino in the future. SHAME ON YOU MGM!
A casino with millions & worth millions, but can't part with $100k? I mean . . . whassup!!!
Give this woman her money! I can't believe they would not pay and let it get this far.
The objective is to make you broke 🎉
“In the casino, the cardinal rule is to keep them playing and keep them coming back. The longer they play, the more they lose. In the end, we get it all.”
- Casino (1995)
I worked in slots for 10 years in a casino, and people get "24 hour" a lot. It's pretty much a for minor disturbance and is used to diffuse the situation quickly. The casino pretty much gives the guest a 24 hour cool down. Doesn't mean they are banned, doesn't mean that they can't come back. Just not for 24hrs. If they dont pay this women!!! Dirty asf!!!
funny how the casinos didn't have any issues taking her money but when she wins big, all of the sudden NOW they have a problem?
Hell no, pay the woman, MGM.
Those blacks are always looking for a come up. You were banned so you do not get to reap any rewards. Should not have been fighting your cousin over money at a casino in the first place.
You do realize she won fair and square? And they banned her after she won, so they wouldn’t have to pay. Race has nothing to do with a corporation cheating you out of your money.
That’s some bs. They saw they owed her 127k, and then after checking her I.D into the system they saw she was banned for 24hrs YEARS ago and used that as an excuse to not pay up! Sue em girl! They better pay more too for all the court fees and bs.
Perfect they should put a billboard up - if you win you lose
But what you will always win is the extra charge on your hotel room bill for food and beverage items from your room mini bar and mini refrigerator, items which you never in fact used. But yo will be charged. I never go to any casino becasue I do not enjoy being lied to, ripped off and cheated. Casinos are for fools and suckers.
what a scam casino! Time avoid this place and not recommend it to other's!
She can also sue for punitive damages now and collect a lot more!
Casino like insurance companies;
Happy to take the money, but when it time to pay, they look for ways to get out of it.
Another reason i dont gamble. Waste of money. She probably spent $127k over her lifetime trying to win. What a joke
