  • RedCoach is an intercity bus service that serves many cities/towns in Texas and Florida. This bus promotes spacious seats and extra leg room. One of RedCoach direct routes that I took was from Dallas to Houston (bus model: Volvo 9700H). There was one break stop near Madisonville Texas. The cost for this one way ride was $15. You can purchase the ride (and select a seat) on the RedCoach Website. For more information about RedCoach, please visit their website at: www.redcoachusa.com
UPDATE - CANCEL TRIP WITHOUT NOTIFICATION WARNING:
The day before departure, please check the status of your bus on RedCoach website or email (RedCoach sends an email the day before departure). If you have not received an email from RedCoach, please contact RedCoach because it is most likely they have canceled your trip. On October 2022, I've reserved a RedCoach ride from Dallas to Houston. I've waited for the bus and RedCoach to Houston did not appeared. I've called RedCoach and they told me that they have cancel the trip to Houston. RedCoach did not notified me that they have canceled. It is important to check the status on the website the day or hours from your trip.

    OBSERVATIONS:
The ride experience was smooth and the seats were comfortable. Especially, that the price that I've purchased was $15 one way. That was cheap.
On that bus, unfortunately, the Wi-Fi on that bus did not function. But, there are electrical outlet located below the seats. As long as I recharge my devices, I am good.
The bus operator was professional and friendly. Before boarding the bus, the bus operator will ask for my name and government issue identification (state license, state ID or passport). After he finds he found my identity, he told me the seat that I'm assigned to and took my luggage (so he can store that the bus compartment). During the ride, the operator will make announcements about the bus and provide estimate time arrival to the final destination.
The lavatory (04:05) is located at back of the bus. The room is really small but it did had a foul smell. Also, the sink did not work. However, there was a sanitizer gel in place.
One of the biggest advantages of riding RedCoach from Dallas to Houston (or vice versa) is easy access to public transportation. In Dallas, Union Station is the closes station that is near the designated bus stop. At Union Station, patrons can transfer to Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) Blue/Red Line, Trinity Railway Express (TRE) Commuter Rail, Dallas Streetcar and several DART Buses. In Houston, patrons can transfer to METRO buses or METRORail Red Line.
Although, the only issue I have with RedCoach is the communication problem. The ride to Houston was suppose to arrive at 4:00 p.m. But the bus was twenty minutes late. It would be nice if RedCoach would send a text message or email that the bus was arriving late. Few passengers were worried that the bus may not show up.
Overall, for the low price and comfortable seat.

I live in Dallas and recently had an opportunity to use this Bus service from Austin to Dallas. I love it. Everything was on point. complementary snacks and water, leg room, wifi, and just an overall comfortable ride experience. I slept well too. This will be my go-to Bus Service for Dallas, Austin, and Houston.

My kid took the RedCoach from Dallas to Austin and loved it. He got a student discount. More comfortable and cheaper and faster than Greyhound

Thanks for your videos. I'm planning a trip to DFW in a couple weeks. Your videos have helped me out regarding the trains. I like your helpful comments and the way you put the stops along the bottom of the screen.

Yes, I will be in Dallas this month or next (depending on the work schedule). When I'm in Dallas, for sure I will film between Downtown Dallas to LBJ/Central Station.

I love this review, but when i view it on my macbook pro the colors are super super high contrast. maybe take down the contrast a bit. its very color saturated.
