    Man! I love the bigger channels too, but this was a great video. You have great conversation and great humor! A hidden gem in my opinion. Thanks for the video

      Very kind of you. I’ll be back soon. Have a trip planned for March 11th.
      We bought a Amish farm and I have been busy working and filming there. Check it out if you want. Rambling Farms Homestead.

    My stomping grounds. I finally saw a bear this fall after 17 years. I agree about the dog food.

    At least he’s a dog you picked? We’ve been dog sitting a Tree Walking Coonhound the last six months because our daughter got divorced. She’s finally getting him next weekend.

    Just watched your video, like your pup. This is the second video I have watched about this trail. I just got a 2022 4Runner, my second and plan on doing something like this, not sure direction. I am somewhat new to Georgia, in Atlanta. May I ask where you got your map? I found one on a trail website. Just curious how you got and downloaded, what app you used if any? Great video, a lot of work went into it I can tell. Thanks

      Hey, google Georgia traverse trail and goto Georgia overland. Scroll down and there is a link for download. Download the gpx file. I use a iPad mini 6 with Gaia maps. Go online on your computer and sign up. Upload the map (gpx) file to Gaia on your computer. Then downlpad Gaia on your phone or iPad and sign into your account that you set up on your computer. Pull up the map and see where the closest location is to jump on the trail. You won’t need and 4 wheel drive on this road. I got on at Dalton and went east. Some roads will be closed and you’ll have to route around. Have fun and thanks for watching. I’m hoping to get out more this fall.

      @@kevintrevors3921 I’m not sure right off hand but give me a few days and I’ll pull up the map and trail and maybe get close. This was on the trail towards the eastern side.

      @@kevintrevors3921 I’m thinking and pretty sure it’s the West Fork Chattooga River. I was actually on the trail when I crossed here and it was the longest water crossing. If that’s not it then it was the Little Tennessee River. Hope they helps.

    When traveling with a dog, bland is best. Keep it to his regular kibble. Worst thing you can do is give him something different and you get the result you got unfortunately.

    The closed section you missed is actually the most fun and technical section, not like the rest of the trail. Highly suggest returning and finishing

      @@ramblingfarmshomestead9045 well I'm trying to find out about road closures mostly. I'd like to run the entire route but I've come to understand that a lot of the route is closed most of the time. Would you happen to know who I can contact for this information?

    • @ramblingfarmshomestead9045
      @ramblingfarmshomestead9045 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Man I don’t. I ran the trail and used my iPad mini with Gaia GPS running. If the trail was closed I could easily see a way around. Only one spot I had to entirely backtrack. But I have no idea when they decide to close a trail or open it. It could be totally different now. However most of what I encountered that was closed was towards the eastern side of the trail the western half was entirely open and I did run it west to east. Hope that helps.

    Putting aside paranormal and cryptids, there are some crazy demented people out there. Careful traveling at night. I’d say you got balls doing what you do

      Lol, turned out to be spicy sausage. Once we got in the Jeep to leave he had a butt explosion all over the rear seat. After that he was fine but I was already packed up so we hit the trail for about 2 1/2 hrs then took a nap. Made for some good night filming. I have to agree with you about being out there alone. There is definitely an uneasy feeling going on and I do sleep with my 9mm. Thanks for watching. I plan to start up filming again soon.
