Yes, you can definitely see that in those family pictures that they took especially when it was just Lisa Marie and EP. And although she was only 9 when he passed away, the things that she remembers and has shared say it all. There’s the time she was in her bedroom and pretending that a hairbrush was a microphone and she was pretending to sing. Then she just sensed his presence and turned around and he was standing in the doorway looking at her and smiling. He wasn’t laughing at her he was just enjoying watching her. But the thing that always touched me the most was when she said in an interview that the one place she felt the most safe and secure was in his bedroom and office. She’d go through his religious and philosophy books and read all the notes and questions he had written in the margins. And no matter whatever happened to her, returning to Graceland and going up to his room and office was the best place for her (this was before Benjamin died though). They definitely had a bond.
That was the scene that really broke my heart as well. My daughter, who was only 7 when Elvis died, now she’s 52, didn’t have the strong connection that I had, and she said that scene was so sad that it brought tears to her eyes. He seemed broken and so lonely. Elvis brought so much happiness and joy to his fans when we heard him or watched him. He did not deserve to leave this world so very young.😢

The 3:36 mark is in my opinion the absolute SADDEST part of this scene. It's heartbreaking to me because at that moment, despite what he's going through, he has to step out into the world and pretend like he has everything together, like his life is perfect, like he's happy. He had to protect an image that was nothing more than a lie.

"Nobody's gonna remember me."
I've always remember you Elvis! bc you best artist and entertainer in my whole life.
Bro that cant help falling in love in the background made me cry
Awwwwww this scene is just kinda heartbreaking!! *"Nobody's gonna remember me"* if he only knew how much he inspired the world and how he is remembered with pride and a hunk of burning love 🥰🥰🥰
Austin Butler Amazing amazing actor I have never seen such a real emotional delivery that I managed to live that time for more than 02:30 minutes dancing singing acting with faces and mouths and visceral expressions a spectacle of acting Elvis Presley deserves this star that appeared in the cinema.
Elvis is a very talented singer and he has these magical voice and lyrics that I love 🥰, his songs will never be forgotten 🌹. How long have been listening to Elvis's song's?
If only he'd listened to her and got the help he needed...😢 so heartbreaking. RIP King
Austin was great in this. He looked just like him. Amazing.
If this scene didn’t make you tear up you aren’t a human, I absolutely loved this movie. Growing up on Elvis because my dad was a huge fan it was very awesome to see him played the right way
"I'm all out of dreams." Completely devastating fall from grace.
That scene is a real TEARJERKER! Especially when he quietly said, “I will always love you.” 😭🥺 AND he did!
He says no one is going to remember him. His music is rocking and phenomenal today. Cheers
I've only cried 3 times watching a movie and this is one of them I've never cared about a celebrity like I care for Elvis and this movie showed me he was human like me and I love him even more
The 3:36 mark is in my opinion the absolute SADDEST part of this scene. It's heartbreaking to me because at that moment, despite what he's going through, he has to step out into the world and pretend like he has everything together, like his life is perfect, like he's happy. He had to protect an image that was nothing more than a lie.
I couldn't have said it better.
He chose that lifestyle
Elvis said one time that a man can't live up to an image.
Don't we all...
Looks nothing like Elvis
it's so sad and so beatifull at t'he same time .
Austin Butler is a very human Elvis with every single detail he shows his human being.Amazing and heartbreaking .
The saddest scene I 😢😢😢 watched in years. My parents & I where in 😢😢😢. The king will be remembered for ever.
We need the score to this film and not just the soundtrack. That tragic rendition of I can’t help falling in love has me shook
I came back to this clip to listen for the score to see if it was on the soundtrack, they need the official score out
No matter how many times I see this scene I am an emotional wreck after watching it. How could Elvis believe we wouldn't remember him and also he could be proud of all the films he made. Austin needs the Oscar even if it was just for this scene alone his performance pulls your heart strings and makes you feel every emotion you could think of.
😭 Elvis Presley lives today as he did back then, unforgettable ❤️. Loved the movie 🍿.
It was so sad I mean the last bit of the real Elvis it was sad austin should really win a Oscar
If you can dream it you can do it baby..."Im all out of dreams" ..I felt that
Elvis will never be forgotten. 45 yrs since you have bn gone and your fans have never forgotten you.
"I'm all out of dreams."
Me: 😭 💔
I think Elvis would be blown away with how popular he has been since he passed away.
Sound like I heard the echo of his voice singing "Can't Help Falling in Love"
Yup, in a haunting tone
“Nobody’s gonna remember me.”
Sorry Mr Presley, but you couldn’t be further from forgotten
… forgotten* what you said means he couldn’t be more forgotten
For the same reason Edison is forever remembered for inventing the light bulb, and Graham Bell is remembered for the phone...
No one will ever forget the King of Rock.
@@i_violetexpress_i my bad thank you
This tears my heart into a billion irreparable pieces, knowing that this is probably the last time he ever saw Priscilla and Lisa Marie, the two people that loved him more than any fan ever did, or would.
😢😢😢
We love you Elvis and we miss you every single day 💙💙💙
He lived to 42 years old. He saw them again.
Perfect movie!
I've been waiting a long time for an Elvis movie like this.
Austin Butler is very deserving of an Oscar.
I went to watch this movie alone before going with family and this scene tore me apart. I've never ever cried watching a movie and I still can't watch it without getting emotional.
I’ve went to opening day of this
One thing I’ll always remember is after,
An older woman is sitting next to me even long into the credits, just quietly crying in her sweater, I wanted to give her the biggest hug…Elvis was HER childhood
