I can understand pulling a muscle grabbing chips if she was in her 30s, but Kayla's only in her 30s. Poor thing, she should get a desk that can turn into a standing desk, to take a break from sitting so much for her job.

It is decidedly NOT silly to build something based on screenshot potential. That is the ideal purpose for a date spot in the sims 😤
i made a studio in my legacy house bc i was tired of always using the same spots for nice screenshots. so like. in my legacy house i have a 2 stages "pool house" in which every wall is 100% covered in the most aesthetic things possible and I even use some costumized arts to look even more "real"
the studio is like 2x more expensive than the house but it's worth it.

Speaking of dates, I added Hedman's Hideaway from the gallery as a romantic date restaurant.
My favorite thing about Simsie is that once, someone asked her, "Don't you ever get bored of the Sims?" and she responded with, "Not really." Playing the Sims is quite literally her job and has been for years, she likely has thousands of hours into this game and even more editing, brainstorming, promoting, collaborating, streaming, filming, etc. and she never gets tired of playing it. It's actually kind of incredible.

@@lulua6203even so, positive physical and mental wellbeing is so crucial. we want to see her do well, not just pushing through because of schedules and work. we understand it's how she makes a living, but we want to see her thrive and take care of herself still
I can't believe you're still so upbeat and happy while having COVID. And while having an injured back you're literally a ray of sunshine
She had it easy with her back for a few hours. I somehow pulled my shoulder muscles in my SLEEP and had to have therapy for it for two months before it got back to normal. I'm almost 40. LOL
For real, when I get super sick or am in pain to that degree I become the Grinch if not worse.
I didn't get any sleep yesterday and was fighting to stay awake the whole day, was having so much anxiety because I had to get a bunch of things done too and then our dog kept bothering me constantly, bc my mom wasn't at home so he follows me instead. I tried hard not to, but I yelled at him once for constantly walking into the kitchen and staring at me (there's no door, it's not his fault). I felt bad* for it afterwards and I gave him some pets as an apology, but my point is... that day was hell and I become not me when I'm in pain like that. I couldn't imagine making an upbeat video like this when I feel like that.
Having Crohns and arthitis and other things, and having currently tooth pain that I've been having to endure until I get my dental surgery done, saving for six months, I feel ya. And having had multiple surgeries and almost died three times from crohns related things, I just see minor pain as nothing. Like when my mother, she was 56 at the time, never had a surgery before, and she didn't know the pain on her side was, but she was telling me all of her symptoms and sounded like gallbladder, as I had that also, so finally got her into the ER, they did the surgery to remove it, and when she woke up, she got one look at me, shoot her hand into the air to grab mine and went "Honey, I didn't know this is what you went through. I am so sorry I ever thought you were lying about your pain." That still gets me to this day.@@th0rne_999

I get the insecure vibes with adding sleeves to your wedding dress BUT GIRL YOU'RE GORGEOUS and above anything else, you are SO LOVED (by Dan and your family, of course) but also by SO MANY people around the world that have you as a good part of their every day routine/life and you don't even know what kind of impact you actually have ❤️ you could literally wear the basegame wedding dress and you'd make it work and we'd love it on you, so please don't worry too much and overthink this and just wear what speaks to you and do what makes you feel comfortable and what you love as that's the most important thing in life, and trust me, this community will ALWAYS support you!!! 🤗

The EA locking thigs behind packs and then rereleasing them for free annoys the HELL out of me same with the hot tub, I'm glad we're getting sth for free but if I bought the pack I'd be pissed lmao

I also added sleeves to my wedding dress! It was supposed to be strapless which was pretty but I felt like I wanted a little more coverage and something to help hold my dress up. It ended up being better than I could have ever imagined. Congrats on finding your dress! That is such a huge victory in wedding planning :)

I think the thing with the plastic chairs is just that at least in my country these are exactly the chairs everyone has in their garden/summer cabin and you would NEVER see them inside. You would also fiund them at cheap restaurants' gardens in typical summer destinations. We keep them outside all year long, even during winter etc 😅 It's just weird to see them inside lol
I feel you with the wedding dress shopping. I am not a girly-girl, but I somehow fell in love with a very princessy dress for my wedding. It was also the last time I saw my mother before she passed, so it is a precious memory for me now.
As someone also planning a wedding I’ve been excited listening to your progress! I’m terrified over going dress shopping but I’m glad you were able to find a dress you liked!

I know that you were scared about the wedding dress shopping and I ALWAYS feel the same way. But I LITERALLY cryed when I saw that video and the last dress was absolutely stunning and if that was the one you didn’t buy, the one you did buy must be perfect and gorgeous!! And I have to say that the ”skinny dress” one you also tryed looked so pretty on you and you looked like a queen and so beautifull! But I also myself like more of the ”puff sleeve” styled like the last one and you did look so beautifull and like a disney princess
One thing i like is to see people's community builds, for what you like and how different they are. Spent hours building a 1970s night club, I've been trying to make copperdale into a 1970s sort of town

Yeah
First cafe I made once I got 'get together' was a cat cafe, using cats & dogs pack to make it a cat hangout. Now I'm inspired to make a date spot too, what a cute idea!
We definitely need more casual date places! So excited ❤
I love using cafés as community lots and adding skill building activities. I made a knitting club that meet in the upstairs of a café and it is so fun to play with all of my sims' friends knitting together. A little bugged but it's bearable
omg yes Windenburg is such a nice neighborhood. the villareal house needs a good makeover tbh. wild in there.
A severe injury from sitting on the couch is the most Sims 4 thing ever, actually... as ridiculous as a burning toilet. Well wishes and lots of giggles to ya. I always need community lots!!!

When lil simsie talks about her anxiety and how much it affects her truly helps me realize that I'm not alone. I think we both have a fear of letting people down and it helps me knowing someone else knows what's its like.

Even if it is someone's first video I think it's fun to listen to people's stories. Everyone's life is so different and people have different thoughts and feelings so it's nice to hear about someone else's life every once and a while.
SIMSIE I FEEL LIKE WERE LIVING THE SAME LIFEEE i just went dress shopping last week as well, tried on about 7 or 8 dresses and bought the third!! when you said that i literally stopped in my tracks. when you mentioned how nervous you were for dress shopping last week i totally felt the same way, its so fun having someone that’s going thru the same thing right now!! im so excited!!

Cafe lots are something I use a lot. I just love seeing my sims go there to work for writing, meet up with friends, or for a first date. One of my current teens loves pink and cute things so I can totally see her boyfriend taking her to this lot. I will be adding this to one of the worlds for him to take her too 😊

Every once in a while during a speed build she adjusts the volume and i get a little golden nugget. Bare Bones is what the building music in the sims4 should be honestly.

This happens to me sometimes!! If your back doesn't get better in the next couple days, make an appointment with the chiropractor and have them get some x-rays and see what you need adjusted. Normally, when I hurt myself in a severe way with little movements it's because my hip comes out of place some and it kills me sometimes.

About the flower arch not being a wedding arch. I like to size down a normal wedding arch and hide it in a plant so that I can't really see it, but I can still click it, and then put that flower archway right in front. It keeps the Sims aligned for the "get married" interaction, and it looks so much nicer for garden weddings than almost any real wedding arch (I don't have My Wedding Disasters, so I can't say about those arches).

Get together is THE expansion pack. The world is huge and BEAUTIFUL and the townies are very charming and "real".

I feel you on the "severe injury from a mundane task" thing, this time last year I helped my friend carry her groceries up to her third story apartment, and I guess I did it badly because I sprained the heck out of my left shoulder and it still hurts when I do too much with that arm. My friend does not let me help her carry stuff up the stairs anymore. Also me, my partner and my friend have all fallen down the last 4 stairs out of the building before and gotten hurt to varying degrees. I think maybe stairs just have it out for me and my loved ones.
Injuring yourself reaching for chips is so relatable. I once got a Charley house in my shoulder on a lazy river. 😅

About wedding dress shopping, I heard that my aunt hated it, because she wanted the perfect dress and everything was either too poofy or had no poof at all, so she spent a whole week only looking for a good dress (one she could wear outside of her wedding as well) and the people working there just kept yelling at her to pick something already after only an hour or so of trying on dresses. That's one of the reasons why she covered most shops in Tyrol. The other being that she wanted that just perfect dress without getting one tailored to her needs. Some stores also refused to serve her either because she had a tattoo, or because she didn't want to buy flower girl dresses yet (since the three were still growing and fast, and the wedding was a year away).

On the topic of injuring yourself in stupid ways, I tore a muscle in my neck a year or two ago while popping a zit. It took MONTHS to fully heal, and I literally needed someone to take care of me for the first couple of weeks because I could barely move. The joys of getting older.

Twinning! We’re also getting married soon (end of this year) and I can totally relate with the stress of dress shopping. I’m plus size and the thought of getting dressed and undressed in front of people is so anxiety inducing to me 🫣 Glad I’m not alone in that. I still have to go for my fittings but your dress sounds so much like what I would love in a dress too - well, the puffy, sheer sleeves are similar, at least 😂 Good LUCK with the wedding planning and remember to have fun where you can. It’s a stressful process but the bigger picture is really exciting 😊

I once injured my back from lifting my son's bed outside to clean it (which isn't heavy at all) and when I did I pulled a muscle in my back and I was screaming in pain and could barely get myself into the house. I was home alone and when I finally managed to get inside of the house I was stuck in bed for days afterward because it hurt so bad and I couldn't move all that well. I really get what you're going through right now and tbh, the way you injured your back sounds like something I would do LOL also, even tho I bought it on sale this week I LOVE Get Together. Windenburg is such a beautiful world and it's up there with top favorites behind Brindleton Bay!

Oh no, pulling a muscle is absolutely awful. It happened to me few times (granted I also have pretty bad scoliosis and few other things with the spine) and omg, I couldn't move and was crying in pain every time. But it also happens more often since I started approaching 30 😂
And about the dress: I'm so happy you found one you like! I hope you'll feel very confident in it. And I like your life updates in speedbuilds!
