Aww Thank you very much. Yes she is so smart and sweet we love her very much she often brings us other things in Hope's to trade them for food lol so sometimes our shoes when she wants outside..... I'm sorry you lost your dog it's so hard and not everyone understands how hard it can be. I've have a few dogs over the years and the one thing that helps is that even though I would never have chosen to loose any of them I know if I had never lost them I would never have known the others like Bella I believe life is better with a dog :) thank you for ure kind words

No matter what shot you took with your video camera, another example was shown off just how fantastically beautiful mother nature has made the natural world. Whether it be water, rocks, trees, or a combination of any, beauty abounds. Mother Nature is a wonderful mother. Thank you for sharing your adventures and Bella is just about the happiest dog I’ve seen. I swear she has the fastest tail wag I’ve seen!

I’ve been happily married for 35 years, but I gotta say, wow Heather is amazing! What a trooper! This is absolutely the first couples show (fishing, motorcycles, camping, shooting, etc.) that I have seen that an attractive wife is a full on participant. I subscribed and am looking forward to catching up to date with all the adventures ;)

I just left pretty much the exact same comment. She’s a unicorn for sure and he’s one lucky man. I can’t even find an ugly chick that willing to do these types of things lolll. Probably doesn’t help I live in a big city and most of the women never even been camping never mind on a 7/14 day adventure.

My two brothers and I did this trip in 2008. Mowat Landing, Lady Evelyn, to Maple Mountain and back. My one brother even climbed the tower. Best canoe trip we ever taken. The return through Lady Evelyn was a wild ride, with 3 foot waves. Sadly, I lost both my brothers to cancer. Love your and your brother's videos. Ontario has the best canoeing. Ed (from Michigan)

We r very blessed to have so much water in Ontario a canoeing paradise. Good tip. I left a bunch growing so not to kill them but I didn't k ow about not pulling from the route I always thought it was random where they popped up often because they are part if a much bigger organism under ground. Maybe it all though. Thanks for the info

Ted, I really enjoyed this video. In 1963 we took the Algoma RR train out of the Soo and 3 father and son teams, 3 glass canoes and one Old Town, headed down the Sand River to Lake Superior. One of the dads was our family Dr. About 3 days in my father slipped on a portage and bruised his ankle. Doc looked at and said to my dad , "Henry, if we were home I would tell you to stay off it and ice it. But here your just going to walk out the portages ( 9 to go) like the rest of us." Like your toe mishap on this trip, your inspect the damage and keep on paddling. That was 58 years ago and your video made me relive that trip! It was August and there was not much sand in the river, mostly rocks. Thanks Paul Sr
This video does more for canoeing/camping in Ontario's wildeness than anything else. It exemplifies the 'realtive' (experieince needed)ease with which a couple can execute a trip plan. Seeing the dog splashing in the water, while lining down rapids is most enjoyable. Superb video. It makes my wife and I want to go do this trip, although physically we are unable. Thank you so much for sharing this. It's a wonderful escape.

Well, we can see how long the video is but I forgot to look til after an hour or so. It is over 2 hours and that takes a bit of planning to break-in half or thirds. It was full of "adventure", so kept me interested. 🐶😀 Bella is learning some patience.

Hey man Thanks! Those novacrafts are warriors this one has seen many a trip much more rugged then this one. Its heavy 17 foot prospector royalex they don't make it anymore but it owns me nothing. @@TheRealTedBaird Thank you for the reply! I hope your toe is healed and was nothing serious! I used to use ice packs, but I think the nerves in the big toe is connected to your stomach and used the give me a diarria! Using the Ibuprofen definely help with the swelling and some pain.
Hey Thanks its almost heald but sill isn't all better. I didn't know about the nerves connected to the stomach interesting . I did take ibuprofen 4 sure it helped a lot. I call it vitamin I lol

I really admire Ted's continual mental toughness in the face of challenges and his ability to balance emotions in general. WOW Ted just WOW! You take some of the most artistic shots, even if I dare say it, better then some of Shawn's (Self Reliance). The lily pads, the grove of spider webs, the mist burning of the lake in time lapse, wow! Those liles were GORGEOUS! You have an artist's eye. Bella is just the icecream on top of the cherry pie! She is so fun and so smart, carrying her dogfood bag and bringing the log to you, she looked so proud! Its really a joy for me to see a water loving dog because none of my 6 dogs have ever liked swimming. Beautiful country, enjoyed the food foraging and Ive always wanted to know how the freeze dried food tasted. Thank you for the arm chair adventure I really enjoyed the journey, lol.

No more then 2 at a time. 4 English Mastiffs back when they were a lot less expensive, 1 Boxer and currently my Boxer/Pitt mix. Loved them all, lol. I've actually had 6 dogs also from day I was born we had a Samoyed, then shepherd lab mix, bull mastiff Rottweiler mix, lab hound mix a great pyrenees golden retriever mix then Heather and I got a place and got our own dog Bella shes a lab German Shorthair pointer mix.......soooooo many dogs lol the rest of the family has dogs also so it's a dog fest sometimes 🤣😂 awesome ure lookin forward to part 2. I also was going to suggest taping your big toe to the next one or two toes. Plus soak your toe in the cold water of the lake or river and then elevate it to reduce the swelling, at the camp. You could also do contrast bathing. 3 minutes in cold water then 1 min in hot water for 12 minutes all together. This pumps your tissues on a cellular level and really reduces swelling. I wish I had a nickel for every injured toe I've experienced.
I feel like you tucked me in your backpack and took me along on your adventure. Totally awesome trip…. Bella rocks… she freaking loves those rapids. There sure were some sketchy areas, like that big drop over the boulders with your canoe, right scary that part was Eh but you pulled er off. Ted, you can used snake skins as a Band-Aids, for you puncture. My mother always saved snake skins she found in the rafters of our woodshed up at the cottage for bad cuts instead of stitches. She had 7 wild children you see. Bella appears to be coming along nicely as a canoe companion. As she matures she's going to be the most perfect dog I think. She's a lot like my black Maggie lab who was 90 pounds. LOL.

She is an amazing companion and excels at most anything. I've have a few dogs over the years and the one thing that helps is that even though I would never have chosen to loose any of them I know if I had never lost them I would never have known the others like Bella I believe life is better with a dog :) thank you for ure kind words

No matter what shot you took with your video camera, another example was shown off just how fantastically beautiful mother nature has made the natural world. Whether it be water, rocks, trees, or a combination of any, beauty abounds. Mother Nature is a wonderful mother. Thank you for sharing your adventures and Bella is just about the happiest dog I’ve seen. I swear she has the fastest tail wag I’ve seen!

I’ve been happily married for 35 years, but I gotta say, wow Heather is amazing! What a trooper! This is absolutely the first couples show (fishing, motorcycles, camping, shooting, etc.) that I have seen that an attractive wife is a full on participant. I subscribed and am looking forward to catching up to date with all the adventures ;)

My two brothers and I did this trip in 2008. Mowat Landing, Lady Evelyn, to Maple Mountain and back. My one brother even climbed the tower. Best canoe trip we ever taken. The return through Lady Evelyn was a wild ride, with 3 foot waves. Sadly, I lost both my brothers to cancer. Love your and your brother's videos. Ontario has the best canoeing. Ed (from Michigan)

Good tip. I left a bunch growing so not to kill them but I didn't k ow about not pulling from the route I always thought it was random where they popped up often because they are part if a much bigger organism under ground. Maybe it all though. Thanks for the info

Ted, I really enjoyed this video. In 1963 we took the Algoma RR train out of the Soo and 3 father and son teams, 3 glass canoes and one Old Town, headed down the Sand River to Lake Superior. One of the dads was our family Dr. About 3 days in my father slipped on a portage and bruised his ankle. Doc looked at and said to my dad , "Henry, if we were home I would tell you to stay off it and ice it. But here your just going to walk out the portages ( 9 to go) like the rest of us." Like your toe mishap on this trip, your inspect the damage and keep on paddling. That was 58 years ago and your video made me relive that trip! It was August and there was not much sand in the river, mostly rocks.

This video does more for canoeing/camping in Ontario's wildeness than anything else. It exemplifies the 'realtive' (experieince needed)ease with which a couple can execute a trip plan. Seeing the dog splashing in the water, while lining down rapids is most enjoyable. Superb video. It makes my wife and I want to go do this trip, although physically we are unable. Thank you so much for sharing this. It's a wonderful escape.

Well, we can see how long the video is but I forgot to look til after an hour or so. It is over 2 hours and that takes a bit of planning to break-in half or thirds. It was full of "adventure", so kept me interested. 🐶😀 Bella is learning some patience.

Hey man Thanks! Those novacrafts are warriors this one has seen many a trip much more rugged then this one. Its heavy 17 foot prospector royalex they don't make it anymore but it owns me nothing. @@TheRealTedBaird Thank you for the reply! I hope your toe is healed and was nothing serious! I used to use ice packs, but I think the nerves in the big toe is connected to your stomach and used the give me a diarria! Using the Ibuprofen definely help with the swelling and some pain.

WOW Ted just WOW! You take some of the most artistic shots, even if I dare say it, better then some of Shawn's (Self Reliance). The lily pads, the grove of spider webs, the mist burning of the lake in time lapse, wow! Those liles were GORGEOUS! You have an artist's eye. Bella is just the icecream on top of the cherry pie! She is so fun and so smart, carrying her dogfood bag and bringing the log to you, she looked so proud! Its really a joy for me to see a water loving dog because none of my 6 dogs have ever liked swimming. Beautiful country, enjoyed the food foraging and Ive always wanted to know how the freeze dried food tasted. Thank you for the arm chair adventure I really enjoyed the journey, lol.

I've actually had 6 dogs also from day I was born we had a Samoyed, then shepherd lab mix, bull mastiff Rottweiler mix, lab hound mix a great pyrenees golden retriever mix then Heather and I got a place and got our own dog Bella shes a lab German Shorthair pointer mix.......soooooo many dogs lol the rest of the family has dogs also so it's a dog fest sometimes 🤣😂 awesome ure lookin forward to part 2. I also was going to suggest taping your big toe to the next one or two toes. Plus soak your toe in the cold water of the lake or river and then elevate it to reduce the swelling, at the camp. You could also do contrast bathing. 3 minutes in cold water then 1 min in hot water for 12 minutes all together. This pumps your tissues on a cellular level and really reduces swelling. I wish I had a nickel for every injured toe I've experienced.

Ted, you can used snake skins as a Band-Aids, for you puncture. My mother always saved snake skins she found in the rafters of our woodshed up at the cottage for bad cuts instead of stitches. She had 7 wild children you see. Bella appears to be coming along nicely as a canoe companion. As she matures she's going to be the most perfect dog I think. She's a lot like my black Maggie lab who was 90 pounds. LOL.

She is silly but only in the fun ways u would expect as we all are 😊 Bella is a mix of 2 pure bread dogs she is half yellow lab and half German Shorthair pointer. She is an amazing companion and excels at most anything. She is also very sweet loving and cuddly 🐕 There is also an episode 2 to this adventure if your interested it's the one with the pic of Heather paddling in front of a waterfall 😊🐕🏕🛶👫🔥🌲
