That's a darn peaceful getaway. It really makes it hard to go back to the hustle, bustle and news of real life. You capture some great video of the woodland creatures doing their thing. One of my favorite sounds is a loon on the lake. I'd bet Bella's favorite book from Hitchiker's Guide Trilogy is "So Long, and Thanks for All the Fish." Thanks for sharing.

I really enjoyed this video. What a nice relaxing couple of days. Great advice to be more like Bella... have a swim, chase a squirrel, eat breakfast... although she did eat all the fish.... but hey, I like fish 😊 so being like Bella really is a good thing! Loved the fishing, the fire building and cooking and all the stuff. Thanks for filming editing and sharing! It was quite relaxing to watch

I have a lot of Macaroni and cheese in my cupboard, but I think that I will save it for day 999 after Nuclear Winter sets in. How about things like canned meat, bacon, and summer sausages. Maybe some canned fruit. On a short trip, the extra weight is not a problem.
Yes most def some better things to cook out there. We had planned to eat more fish originally.
I watched this video was a great shame the beautiful place burnt like that ted, I also watched your wifes video her first time alone tell her she did a great job gave her thumbs up. and to her question, if she would do another one would we watch my wife and I said yes!look like it was a difficult hall with the canoe for her that's a lot of gear to carry and Bello omg what a sweetheart and the way she walks around with her food bag in her mouth o my.

Great Video Ted. FYI, I had a Choc. Lab named Bella, Wonderful Loving Dog.. Enjoy her as they are special souls only shared with us for a limited time. I'm glad you got the Coffee back, lol, she looked like she wanted to take it swimming with her...Love all your content.. makes me wish for younger days again. Nice video Ted! Me and my wife spent a night in a burnt forest up in the boreal of Woodland Caribou 3-4 years ago. I found it very peaceful but very messy haha. Thanks for the upload buds!

Burnt over areas are a good place to look for morels in the spring time.

here is my idea from few weeks ago backpacking time when on/off rain and wind was at area.."welder Blanket" they have several different size on ebay and amazon..not expensive..kind of heavy but not bad..i got 4x6 feet one and you can hang like a tarp on upper of fire and other tarp can connect them too..so you can be under regular tarp next to fire and fire will covered with welder blanket with out getting rain..

Thanks guys. I couldn't really blame the dog as much as if it was at hoke because when camping we traind her its ok to like dishes we put on the ground. She did know better however but its a bit of a greay area lol. At home she wouldn't have

Haha yes she is. To be honest she carries things around but never damages them and its too damn cute to teach he not too lol. I blame myself for her eating the fish as we let her lick the plates at camp and it was in the ground. At home she has never taken anything off a table or got into garbage etc. But she def could use some training in many areas haha. Thx 4 watching glad u enjoyed it

SMART BEATIFUL LAB CARRING HER SUPPER AROUND THAT WAS PRECEIOUS. I HAVE A BLACK LAB AND IS A GUIDE DOG, BECAUSE MY VISION IS NOT GOOD. LABS ARE SO SMART, THEY ARE HUMANS JUST ON 4 PAWS.I GOT SCARED WHEN YOU DOG WASOUT IN THE WATER WITH A STITCK. MY LAB DOES NOT KNOW HOW TO SWIM. LOVED YOUR CAMPING SKILLS WHICH I THOUGHT WERE QUIT COOL AND SMART. YOU DID A WONDERFUL JOB.

OMG lovely video again. Location superb in-spite of recent fire. Never the less ... heaps of "fire" wood. @ 34.02 Pleased to hear the new coffee plunger making quiet "coffee plunger farts". At 1:13.14 the lake is heart shaped......perfect for your guys end. All in all I saw your vid come up and my end of the globe I poured a wine and settled n for maximum entertainment/enjoyment/peacefulness. Thank you so much for sharing.

what a shame that the campsite you usually go to got burnt, Maybe a lightning strike, if not a camper sad, still in all it is a pretty camp spot. , have to love Bella and her antics lol. soo sweet she is. I love that tent looks great, cool capture of the toad to. I walked around and canoed Gogama about two weeks after the big burn, It felt Eerie at the time i was there, i did not hear one bird or even see one , No fish were present either too much soot in the water. Luckily where you folks were there were birds , fish and that toad. awesome video always like to see you and Heather out

I'm thinking that campfire. If somebody left their fire going and an off lake wind picked up and blew the embers into the understory limited the fire. Pretty lucky it didn't crown. Cute story about Bella's fishing experience.

Your Culinary skills. Guys try cooking in a lot less oil/ Just a smidgen of Cold Pressed. Your Fish..Try coating them in Besan Flour (Chick Pea) first. ..then lightly fry. Maybe lay off that Jack cheese...Swiss or Irish or Australian Cheddar is so much better.
