I never train on sundays but after watching this I got a boost of energy. Hard to explain, only people that competed/compete will understand. This energy I felt was like no other. Had a explosive session in my gym doing some of the exercises shown here. Thsnk you for this video. It's exactly what I needed

These videos are absolutely priceless. In 1961 I was a middle-distance runner kicked off my high school track team for lifting weights. After competing as an Olympic lifter for the following two years, I returned to the track team as a sprinter. I really enjoy the creative specificity in these videos. In the next life, I will know what to do as an 800m runner.

I can't answer for him , but as a corner college athlete we had strength and conditioning coaches who's jobs are solely to teach us those lifts abd the proper way to do them. I wouldn't be surprised if the OP has the same type of coaches

Having followed your Vlog for about a year it´s good to see back in a place where you seem to feel well. Going out in public and saying how you really felt during the last autumn has been a very brave decision and I had like to know how many people felt the same way during the past year and just do not want admit that. Not even to themself. Best wishes on your road to twenty. An Olympic year is the exact right time crush that barrier. Maybe your body was just waiting for that moment...

Hi, thank you from France ! I never react to videos, but this time I want to do it !
I want to thank you for the power you give me, will-power, strength in my head, psychological, so much power !!!
Let’s go on that kind of videos !
I am a former athlète, 46 years old, father of 5 children, married, working on my own (personal trainer, going on people’s home from early in the morning (6:00) to late in the evening (11:00)). It is very to find motivation to come back in training (wether very soon, or very late in the dark, or when I have cancellations… always training alone …. it is very hard. I’ve found the power to train thank’s to your videos. Thank you from France.
Furthermore, your training is perfect ! I do not know if you do that each time, not only when camera is shooting, but it is a very clever training, well-built and we’ll-realized.
Just one thing : it is important to protect you when lifting great weights : so it would be better to train abdominals and back before or during squats. This will send blood in these main muscles : muscle’s dwelt/inflated so that your spine is more protected.
    Good luck !

    Bravissimo!
Big congrats from an italian agonist sprinter, unf due to my posture and respiratory issues when I was a child (2-3 bronchitis x year...), I could not be able to have complete training sessions, especially during the winter, namely during the construction period. But after all, I remained patient and focused on breaking my PBs as well!
This video is way too INSPIRING that I would take my spikes on and go to the track right now LOL.
I liked so much your speed training sesh, they should be seen by most of them, especially by those who still regard powerlifting as an useless tool, that only makes you slower ...
    Again, Congrats !

Hi Mathias. Great video with excellent music and production, thanks for sharing. 5:00 sprint start, your feet/ankles are unstable (helps to watch in slo-mo). It's making you go upright earlier than a sprinter with your power should need to and that is hampering your acceleration. Watching at 0.25x speed makes it easier to see. You are having to do a lot of compensation work for this (side to side movement of trunk and arms). Your thighs are rotating externally during the drive phase and these are energy leaks. Perhaps look at slo-mo comparing to other elite sprinters and see what is common, then tackle the root cause of your movement patterns - could be range of motion first, then re-training movement patterns. After foot strike, your thighs rotate externally and have some lateral movement at the knee. You don't want that lateral movement. I'm not an expert who can say which joint is leading this, perhaps because your feet point inwards slightly(?) or maybe you have sprained ankles somewhere in your history. I'm not criticising you and I'm not an armchair Olympian, just offering unsolicited feedback. Hope it helps! Wishing the best for you!
