as a person who plays VR for several hours a day sometimes its funny to see how newbies react to their first experience except punching walls, you can have years of experience in VR and still punch a wall from time to time
Me too. I've become immune or got used to VR. While it's still totally fun playing in VR and can't even compare to playing while looking at flat pc screen, my first ever VR experience felt totally real.
Being a part of VR since 2016 and I have never punched a wall nor did anything that broke something. It is called proper preperation. Put a carpet or anything distinguishable from the main ground at the center of your play area and you will figure it out without thinking about it anymore, that you are currently leaving your real safe space - without using the immersion breaking virtual borders.
That was an over exaggeration, These people are really not that scared, they are putting on a show for attention. You would literally have to be not just autistic but SUPER Autistic to not just close your eyes. I have 100% been scared in VR jump scares and what not. And even the atmosphere of a game can get the heart pumping... but this none stop for 20 secs straights flailing around with people holding you up... is 100% pure BULLSHIT...!!! idiots like that remind me of dumbasses who say they were hypnotized on stage to bark like a dog....

I've had an Oculus Quest 2 for about a month now, and I almost envy these people who can get THAT into it. It's more immersive sure, but I've never been close to a full-on freakout.
They’re simple minded people. They can be easily fooled with simple visual tricks and it completely effects their brains. Don’t envy them, feel sorry for them.
@Elizabeth Jane you think the people that run into windows and punch TVs are having fun? They probably feel stupid that they broke an object because they thought they were really being chased by aliens.
The guy in the mall is an always will be the best VR fail 🤣🤣🤣 Just his tell of sheer terror then watching him fall all over the place when people try to help him up 🤣
For those that never played VR you have no idea what you're missing. There is different levels of immersion depending on how good your headset is. However once you're mind gets attached in the game you instantly forget that you're in a game. That's why these people are so damn scared.
I really dont get this. I mean, yes, you can actually loose your balance when you stand up and play a game in vr for the first time. But i really dont get that fear all those people have. It is not real and they know that. Is it just normal for those people to overreact like crazy, or what the hell is going on with them.
I've played VR before but I'm a gamer so I guess it's easy for me to just know that what I'm experiencing isn't real because of that. As immersive as these games can be I still know I'm wearing a headset.
The feeling you get in your stomach when you stand on the edge of a big drop, you actually feel the same feeling when in vr The way it tricks the brain is amazing
I never understood how people can disconnect from reality short of drugs or booze. I've had jump scares that can happen anywhere but believing you're on a rollercoaster with no physical stimuli is not easy for me.
@Elizabeth Jane It's really not. I've been using VR since 2013 when the Oculus DK1 was the only thing around and with more modern headsets like the Vive Pro and Quest 2 I still get the "wow" feeling but I've never been convinced that it was real. Both myself and everyone that I've shown VR to has been able to keep their composure outside of maybe the occasional jump and nervous laugh while playing something scary/intense like Quake. A lot of the people in this video looked like they were being thrust straight into something intense as their first experience which is a big no no especially on HMDs with a refresh rate under 90hz. You have to build up to intense stuff or else the rest of your day could potentially consist of puking and laying in bed.
I took my PSVR to my aunt and uncles house for Christmas one year and had her experience the Shark attack mission in PlayStation Worlds, I only wish I caught her reaction on camera.
I feel like I’m watching an exorcism the way these people react
Can tell they’ve never played a single video game their entire life lol
Doesn’t anyone?
lol this xD
And people running into/breaking stuff
lol

@CatsoPouer Somewhat yes, and only at certain places like Disney.
Almost like real like ;)
well... how about some techno telepaty?
How do you know you're not already in superb VR?

Showing people VR is all fun and games... until you get punched in the face by someone trying out Superhot!
I literally landed on my TV trying to take cover behind a wall in Superhot, the wall wasn't there IRL.
Gorilla Tag
or until they break your tv 💀
Oh fuck, it happened to me lol.
I was playing SuperHot vr on my WMR headset and didn't saw my friend on the bed, poor dude took a ring in the face lol
6:58 - The driver is also wearing a VR headset
I was wondering about that. Can't believe I missed it.
Full game dive
No that was pre planned, b'coz that girl wasn't wearing VR glasses too!

Best feeling when you actually feel like you're in the game/video.
what are they watching/playing?
Women : scream they soul out
Men : fall on the ground miserably

4:12 I died 🤣 laughing and cried.
even when I use VR, I still aware and remember that my body is in RL tho.
Most of these people have never played a video game, let alone VR.

I feel like half of these are on Kitchen/Biohazard, legit laughed my back off watching friends on these two in VR

Unpopular opinion: people who get scared af while using VR are not that bright

This could pave the way for some entry level jobs, being that skeleton or roller coaster that shakes up the customer. 🤣
I’ve always believed that people are idiots. Things like this simply confirm it.
Everyone’s a gangsta until you try Paranormal Activity in VR.
The comment of the year🤣🤣🤣
These are better than the actual games.
I'd be worried about 2 player. Hay makers left and right ahaha.
Thanks for the dedication guys! A laugh a day keeps the doctor away. ONE LOVE!
It’s an amazing digital circus headset!
:/
I remember playing Mario Kart 64 back in the day- jerking the controller from side to side but this is on a whole different level!
Very Nice
Is it compulsory for all vr related screams to sound exactly the same? 😄
4:19 - 4:32 That goofy ahh laugh tho 💀💀💀
wen people started VR the TV sale went up lol

The best part is VR isn’t hard to use
Having been playing VR for years now. How can you be so scared from it. Or is humanity just that piss weak these days.
piss weak mate..
I love playing VR, but my ceiling is really low to the point that I'd hit my head on the ceiling if I jumped.
I've seen those bad trips like 2:00 before, with no VR on xD
It would be interesting if we actually knew what they were screaming about instead just a bunch of people wearing VR screaming
The best part was where the person screamed bloody murder
0:03 I FEEL GOOD
If you like over-hysterical screaming, than this is the vid for you.
Who can stand listening to old hags screaming there heads off for several mins straight? The guy who almost punched the TV in half was gold though.

These are pretty much all the same. They either scream or fall over, usually dramatically.
