I get you. I have done things in my art that made me laugh so hard I could not bring air in to breathe. When I'm done laughing, it is such a relief. We are not robots. Making a mistake makes everything okay. It looks great. You saved it. Best of all, you had a good laugh.
Great job, the paint really defined the face and after all, that is what raccoons are all about, their face. You explained everything well and made me want to start carving! Thank you.
I giggled along with you. You cracked me up massively..love your comments.your laughter was so good for my soul! Also the carving turned out so good. You are right the paint saved it.
You started laughing, and I lost it!! Might of shit my pants a little bit? Don’t know haven’t check. Absolutely pulled it off!! That’s a frickin raccoon if I ever saw one!! Love it! Good stuff Jordy!
Yes, paint saved the day. You're awesome Jordy! I do enjoy hearing your thoughts out loud. I also enjoy the carving network of friends you have established.
Jordy I am a very, very beginner. You have given me hope as I am struggling with my first piece. Your tips have been really helpful. Thankyou. I do love what you ended up with.
O man that's the most fun I've had watching a master carver go astray this made my day yep this is my experience on most of my carvings bless you jordy
Love the raccoon. Before you painted it I thought it looked like a cat. But you pulled it off. Great job. Most of all you made me laugh and feel good. Keep up the great videos.
It’s nice seeing you make mistakes and get things wrong and how you adapt . You are the perfect teacher . I only watch your channel because it feels like a mate showing you . Keep doing things like this jordy and def carry on being you . I’ve learned so much from you and you alone .
First time viewer but I had to say your laughter is infectious. I was in bed and almost woke my wife up twice I was laughing so dang hard. 😂😂😂 God bless you buddy and I did enjoy your instructions and creativity. 🙏😎👍💯
I think it looks pretty good!! If every one of yours was awesome, you wouldn't be human. The fact that you uploaded the video says a lot about your character!! Carve on!!
Used to do a lot of oil painting and boy the under paintings would look absolutely ridiculous 😂😂😂 but you’d never know it in the end! love your attitude! I’m new to 3d stuff, but this is maybe giving me the courage to do more. pretty cute in the end!

Winner winner..chicken dinner !!... You did it Jordy..absolutely love the finished piece..💚😊💚... I knew you could..there's no reason to limit your carvings...I know you enjoy the woodspirits..mostly because you've had success with the huge number of them you've done...just like the owls..eagles..gnomes..just as you tell us..the more you do the more comfortable and happy you are with the work...and yes the paint was helpful because the markings show strongly with the colors..which I might add..you did a great job on that as well... So brovo..👏👏👏...well done...yay !!... 🌿🌿🌿
What a beautiful job you have done, at first I thought you would leave it in wood color; but it was fabulous on you, giving it life with paint. Thank you 🙏
If a video ever had its ups and downs this sure qualifies and just goes to show you never know how its going to turn out til you finish.looks awesome and a right character. Gummy trash panda 😂
@carvingfusion: jordy Johnson, I just noticed my first word said "poor", I meant "poof" so I went back to fix that lol. Anyways, I'm an Artist myself, working with ceramics as a medium; I make sculptures and functional pieces. Recently, I got introduced to wood whittling, which is pretty awesome as well! I do paintings, pottery, drawings, I've done glass on glass mosaics and now wood stuff.
nice!!!!! i was liking it with just the burn but yep after you painted it for sure looks good! love the negative space in it too! it should for sure sell!! Stay safe!!!
Jordy!! Just figured out how to comment on TH-cam lol Thank you so much for he tutorial Didn’t mean to stress you out lol I’m the kind of person that learns from watching first and this shows me a lot! Thank you again. You rock! Yes I like my bacon almost black. Fat makes me gag 😂 your raccoon is super cute! Great job!!
Jordy Jordy Jordy , you had never laughing so hard. The raccoon is super cute. What's weird about this request is Ryan Cook just did a raccoon chainsaw carve and though it's big I wanted to carve a raccoon. So now after you ( my mentor) did it with a Dremel I'm super excited to try it. Thanks for sharing
Wonderful job on your first raccoon. Never would have guessed it was your first time carving one. On the "Nook "pronunciation We here in Pennsylvania USA pronounce it as you would the word Cook just swap the C with the N. It doesn't matter either way, we all say words differently. Never had you chuckled so much over a carve.yes paint was the savior and made everything come together and also gave it depth.
Your laugh was contagious, and it looks better than anything I can make.
Great job, the paint really defined the face and after all, that is what raccoons are all about, their face. You explained everything well and made me want to start carving! Thank you.
