GREAT REVIEW!!! Thank you for being honest and not holding it closed and saying IT CLOSES!! AMAZING, like all of the other "reviewers". I really appreciate the honesty!!!
I bought the old pitaka case for the 5th gen IPad Pro and the Magic Keyboard closes. I also take my IPad out the case when I am not using the keyboard and put in my ESR case. I’ve had it for about 2 years and the edges haven’t broken off. I was going to buy this one after I buy the new IPad Pro. The new keyboard not being able to close and this new case breaking at the bottom is a deal breaker.
Yeah, my old PITAKA for my M1 iPad Pro and Magic Keyboard closed fine as well. This new one not so much. I’m gonna use it for travel but remove it when home.
IMO the fact that it essentially presses in on the bottom of the ipad every time the case is closed, multiplied by the thousands of hours that the case will be pressed shut, is a deal-breaker - a big one. Touch screens on very thin devices are VERY sensitive. My guess is that 6-12 months down the line, you will start having ipad malfunctions. These could result in expensive ipad repairs and even potential Magic Keyboard repairs. I would LOVE to have my iPad protected, but a case that gets in the way of it closing is unacceptable. Thank you for your honest review.
Hi Rey! Does the M4 ipad with pitaka case work with old magic keyboard? I watched a yt vid saying they work fine with case on it. Would appreciate your reply! Thanks
Apple changed the magnet position on the new iPad Pro’s and while I no longer have my old Magic Keyboard, I do have an old Apple Keyboard Folio case that I used with my M1 iPad Pro and I can tell you this PITAKA for M4 iPad Pro doesn’t work with that. So I doubt it would work with an old MKB.
Excellent review of the Pitaka M4 iPad Pro case.I had the identical problem with the original Pitaka 2018 iPad Pro case and now have the new Pitaka 13" M4 iPad Pro case. From an engineering perspective the problem is with the stresses that exerted on the fragile corners of case. The forces are in [tension] on the exterior of the radius and [compression] on the interior of the radius. The forces are not balanced when the iPad Pro is placed in the case thus causing fatigue of the thin plastic curve. The problem is that leaving the iPad Pro in the case would ideally be the best solution, however keeping the iPad Pro in the case creates a continuous stress that will fatigue the plastic forming the curve leading to failure i.e. break.I do not see a solution that does not require at least a partial redesign of the case.
Dude. If it doesn’t close it doesn’t “work with the Magic Keyboard.” You can split hairs about it “working” but if there is one thing it doesn’t do is work with the Magic Keyboard.
Do you have an iPad Air 13 to test the Pitaka case for last year’s iPad Pro 12,9 inch? Pitaka is not making any MagEZ for Air, but the size of the 12.9 inch pro is the same as the new 13 air
I have just recieved the exact same case for my M4 13” a couple of days ago. Perfect fit & zero closure issues with my Magic Keyboard. I really like this case a lot.
It’s not a clickbait. Do you even understand what clickbait means? It works. What it doesn’t is close perfectly. Weird how people don’t understand language that well.
Sorry I don’t agree , it doesn’t work. If it can’t close correctly it will drain battery which to me doesn’t not work properly. Throw this in a bag and it’ll be a nightmare with it constantly closing and opening which will drain the battery and shortening the battery life. Also if you can confidently tell me that the force closed will not damage the iPad or the Magic Keyboard in time, then yeah we can talk, but in most case forcing is never good. The corner breaking off, yes that is a manufacturing design not its best. This closing thing is another thing. It’s like the whole battery catching on fire, it will work with you bike but can kill you mean it’s not working right.
I can confirm that the issue exist with this new case with the MK (just got it yesterday)... But the material is alot stronger and more premium than the previous version.😅
Thank you for your review ! This is again another review showing this case major flow ! I was hopping that there’s a new version of it that works .. this won’t allow you to insert it a bad plus you might assume the iPad in standby mode with a shut screen , while it’s not Thanks allot for you review again ! You saved my money 😊
It should not. The point of pressure is not on the screen, so I don’t see it cracking. I would be worried about the Magic Keyboard possible bending over time the hinge.
GREAT REVIEW!!! Thank you for being honest and not holding it closed and saying IT CLOSES!! AMAZING, like all of the other "reviewers". I really appreciate the honesty!!!
Glad it was helpful!🙏
This is what I call a REVIEW! Thank you for being honest.
Thanks for watching! 🙏
I had the m1 12.9 iPad with the closing issue as well. It wasn’t that big of a deal at the end of the day, but it’s good to be aware of it
Curious, did you purchase the M1 version at first release? Mine didn’t have the issue so I’m wondering if they correct it with subsequent batches.
same with my m4 13 iPad Pro doesn’t close makes me quite frustrated
Thanks for honest review
Glad you found it useful, thanks for taking the time to let me know! 🙏

I trimmed the edges of my PITAKA case slightly; it works much better now. I wonder why PITAKA never thought of doing it.
Didn’t think about doing that, might need to take a closer look.
wow, how?
Thank you for review! And does the case without this problem exist?
I haven’t found one yet. Thanks for watching! 🙏
What stand model is that at (9:50-9:59) ?

Weird that 11" M4 Pitaka can close with the MK but 13" can't
Does you iPad have a screen protector? I’ve noticed using a screen protector makes it impossible to close correctly

This is great feedback of why the case has and may continue to be frail.

You don’t have same issues as shown in the video?
@@saurabhdhiman8455 no not at all.
Hmmm.
Hmmm really 😅
Said the the bought AI bot?
This title is click bait in the sense of it doesn’t function 100%. This is the second video in a row with closure issues.
Well it actually does work with the Magic Keyboard. Whether the implementation is the best can be questioned.
@@ReyG_HKSH lmfao, the inability to close properly means it doesn’t work, stupid.

It’s disappointing but still functions for that extra protection.

That should not happen and it might crack your screen or?
